What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
k_peek_2000 replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'd like to see a set of 4 plain old fashoned storm troopers. I never had the change to take advantage of the classic STs. -
Of coarse it's not to late, I am contemplating getting Black Beards Bounty in the next week, as a starter ship.

How long do Grand Emp. and Fire Brigade have?
k_peek_2000 replied to Danpb's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Green Grocer is pretty much gone now, Fire Brigade and GE have about a year and a half left. I imagine they will introduce a 3rd modular by the end of this year. -
Latest updates on LEGO set sales
k_peek_2000 replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'm not sure whats going on but it looks like a lot of the lego SW items on lego.com are missing. Anybody know what happened? -
I LOVE the new HP Minifigs. They are just so awesome. I love the dementors in the Hogwarts set.
-
These are awesome, the bathroom scene is amazing! I wish there was more blood though :p
-
Well the toys are the same size as standard minifigs, and it seems to fit their scale just right. So I would assume it should fit into a City just fine. However the fact that the minifigs in this set are supposed to be 10 inch tall toys, then the scale is completely off with the truck.
-
Yikes, I had no idea European prices were THAT bad. Best of luck on getting the LEGO you want!
-
I think your right about the scale issues, it's supposed to be a full sized trash truck. Watch this clip Then go to the very end, what do you see? Our trash truck. So I wonder why Lego decided to make it "toy" scale rather than larger. It looks fantastic non-the-less and would fit into a Lego City flawlessly.

I think they are just waiting till Comic-con to do any revealing, this set must be a big deal.
-
Looks spot on! Can't wait for TS3!
-
I think I'll go for the Lambo, it just seems like a better value, 700+ pieces. I am not a huge fan of the licensed sets with the acceptation of star wars of coarse. But thanks for the help guys!

So I'm not allowed to have an opinion? Based on my experiences with both the UCS RBR and Non-UCS version. I'd pick the non-UCS.
-
I have a budget of 59.99 (USD). I'm torn between the Racers Lambo (I tend to use lego more for display anyway) or the Neptune Carrier, I love the way that ship looks but I am not a huge fan of Atlantis sets. Or perhaps a combination of smaller sets? Any help would be nice :p

How long do you wait until you open your lego?
k_peek_2000 replied to Ratshot's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Usually when I get a set, I wait until I accomplish something. Like my most recent large set I bought, I told myself I wouldn't start building until I cleaned my room (who wants to build in a messy room anyway). So I did, and the set ended sitting in my room for about 3-4 days till being built. -
If you like no interior, a bulky cockpit, bulky blank engines, no figs, and one of the most problematic sticker sheets to replace actual engine details that the non-ucs version has, not to mention the non-ucs is much more accurate in terms of scale than the UCS one. Then I suppose the UCS version is better for you.
-
Does it really matter if its "UCS" or not? I personally think the new Tantive is MUCH better than the "UCS" one... 2500+ pieces is still bigger than most of the sets out there. It's going to be fairly large, and fairly detailed, and that's all I care about.

REVIEW: 8683 LEGO Minifigures Series 1
k_peek_2000 replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I NEED THE ROBOT AND ZOMBIE!!!!! :D -
Does Lego usually honor price mistakes like that? I do recall a while back once Power Miners came out, there was a mistake and Crystal King and Rock Wrecker were both only 4 dollars each and I managed to get a few and Lego Honored it, so what would normally be 50 was only 8.

One of my favorite EP1 ships! I wish it had a real presence in the lego world. Amazing work!!!
-
I joined in feb, and that was the give away for the month of Feb in the VIP club, they picked about 20 members. I ended up selling the fig with a few other sets and getting a Tantive.

I can see somebody forking over 10 grand for it. However I think the lego company would be really upset if somebody put something that was so rare and was pretty much a gift to them on ebay just for a quick few thousand bucks aha.
