I believe you here omi. It makes sense. They put Indy on hold for a year and see how POP goes. If it sells then indy may go, if it doesn't then Indy comes back and everything is back to the way it was. It also adds up to what lego said to the ambasader, that they will continue to release this years sets next year, but there won't be any new sets. That's acceptable to me. But I heard from someone on the rebeldcum forums, who asked a rep. and they said hat there will be sets in 2010 and indy has sold very well so far. so I'm a bit confused. But I'm leaning towards you on this one.

I was thinking that it could be cool if they redid studios. they've rebooted alot of themes and with all of these new licsenses coming out they could really do it. Here are some set ideas: George lucas: movie maker(studio 2) set has a back drop that splits it in 2 sides. SIDE 1 Star wars episode 5 The backdrop on this side is of some lights like in the scene where luke finds out that darth vader is his father. the baseplate has 2 stickers of the bottom to give the effect that they are up high. The long walkway leads out to a circular plate with like a pole or what-ever just like in the movie. It includes luke, darth vader with actor underneath helmet director in first ever directors chair, george lucas with cap behind the camera. a huge crane with another camera and operator, a boom microphone and operator, and a bunch of lights. SIDE 2 Raiders of the lost ark The backdrop on this side is the jungle temple from raiders. There are a bunch of 1x2 dark green/brown/green slope pieces that line up on both sides of a narrow path. It includes the huge boulder that runs down the slope pieces when you pull a pin and indiana jones in jacket, steven spielberg figure in directors chair now in flesh, george lucas behind camera (the camera pulls back when you pull a pin) , boom operator with mic, and lots of lights. and a snack table just for kicks. There are other sets that could be done, but this one is a huge possibility with lego having both licenses.

I also noticed this. I'm not even a wwii pplane buff but it did look like the wings were too far back and that the shape of them was off. Thanks for posting, I'll fix mine.

I've never collected bionicles nor really understood them so I can't refer you to anyone. Well, a friend of mine who lives near a lego store asked the store manager (who is his friend) if they were continuing indy. His friend said yes they were but he can't tell the sets names. He did say the "the big set for indiana jones in Jan. 2010 is amazing" I now remember last year when everyone said that indy wasn't going to continue in 2009, now look where we are. I can't wait to check out these atlantis sets, if they make a king neptunes palace or something I'm In!!!

This is corect. Star wars and Indiana Jones are under 1 lucasfilm contract. When the contract ends they both end. But lego doesn't HAVE to make indiana jones sets. It's like a drivers liscense. Just because you have it doesn't mean you HAVE to drive. It just gives you the option to do so. It is you rchoice to drive. The same goes for the lucasfilm liscense.. just because lego has it doesn't mean that they HAVE to continue to make sets. correct, but star wars was supposed to end in 2008. The contract was renewed to 2011 along with indy. If indy sells poorly then they can try to get a new contract only for star wars when the contract expires. I just hope lucasfilm doesn't pass the torch on to megablox.

Another poster on the rebel scum forums stated that he talked to a lego store manager about the matter and he said that there will be more sets in 2010 and that the big sett for indy in january 2010 is amazing. again, this could be made up. I think that there will be more sets. I don't think it's over yet.

I also noticed that. I don't think it's over used because it's not like the bruce wan head which is the same head over and over but this has come smalll changes to it which you already pointed out.

I will agree with you here. Those themes did do quite well. If Indy ends then we know it had a good run.

Every one here thinks their right and that's just causing termoil. I don't think this thread needs to be rested but I think that someone needs to show some pictures or even a list of the lego sets coming out in 2010. Until then this thread will continue to heat. If I'm proven wrong then I'll admit it but I don't think that a tank is too far out of the picture. I did some research and found out that last years sets were leaked on august 20 2010. If we donb't know see indy sets by the end of saugust then I guessing it's over. But right now I don't see lego ending a theme that ultimatley makes money, even if POP is similar I just don't see it happening. Now if the slaes have been down lately then I would understand but this last wave has been the beest indy wave yet so why end it at the top of it's game? I really want to see some set pictures or at least get a complete early 2010 list.

omicron. you are really starting to get rude here. admit your wrong and lets get this back on track. I read the article that they guy who built the tank wrote he said that the lego group ASKED him to build a lego indy tank to put in their store. If lego was so against a tank then why would they let one be displayed in their stores. Think about it. Now I think that the post on jedinews is possibly true but I'm not saying anything else until pics are leaked of 2010 sets.

TLG has basically made soldiers with indiana jones but instead called them just bad-guys. Now they've gone as far as calling a set "fighter plane attack" fighter planes are used for 1 thing and 1 thing only "to kill enemys in war" period. Now if lego didn't release that set then I would have different thoughts about a tank. But they did release that with the name of "fighter plane" plus they released the flying wing which could be considered a military vehicle. In fact people in ither forums that haven't seen indiana jones saw that set and thought it was a fighter plane itself. Now toy story is releasing army men lego. I bet they will call them army men too. And every one knows armys are used in war. So what makes a tank so different? it is a military vehicle like a fighter plane and it isn't even green which is a common military color. If Indy ends then so be it. It was a great theme, I've already had my rant that it may last a shorter time period than sponmgebob and I've complained that it's being replaced by ben 10. But who know? maybe ben 10 will be a good theme after all. I think POP should be good and the same goes to toy story which I think I'll start collecting next. If lego reads these forums then they'll know that people want a lego indy tank. in almost every indy wan't list there's a tank in it.

I must dissagre there. if the do a car like the harry potter one and add mutt's motorcycle it could cost 10 to maybe 15 at the most. when did I say that it had to be a 2 sided wall? I just said it had to have a bar on one side. The other side would just be nothing really. maybe is could have a feature where it falls apart? Maybe a bar is not reasonable but the only other set I can see them making from raiders is the submarine and shipe or the map room. I really dissagre here. How is this set less exciting than the peril in peru. Heck, most of peril in peru wasn't even in the movie. I think having indy escape the plane in the raft would be a good feature and if the added a way to make the ple explode then it would be a great set in general. But perhaps you have the same mindset of TLG and are just being real I actually think that the fighter plane was just as militaryish a tank would be. This one is really on the line of 'good for a set' and 'too violent for a set' But you are probably right on this one. I guess my list was pretty unreal. At this point I have to say that if TLG looks at these the same way Oky Wan does there is no chance for the Indy line to continue after the video game. I'm glad we've gotten what we have now. If it's over then so be it. I guess I'll move onto collecting the toy story sets or star wars again.

It really makes me mad that AMAZING themes like Indiana Jones, batman, and Harry Potter have ended so that they can use new themes like Ben 10 or POP. I am almost certain that Ben 10 will be a 1/2 wave thing and just about as bad as spongebob. Indiana Jones DESIRVES 1 last stand. A grand finale. Give the fans what the want. A TANK. lego, just give us one more release of sets. it's an easy 4 set wave from all of the movies and great action scenes. it's this simple Chase through the university: Mutt, Indy (professor) just use the venice indy add brown pants and grey hair, and 2 KGBs just use the harry potter 3 piece suit and add black fedoras. Mutt's cycle and a blue 2 seater car- $10 brawl in nepal (raven bar): Indy, Marion (bar), toht, and 2 thugs. Much like the lost tomb set, with one complete back wall with bar, 2 tables, and 2 side walls just like on the lost tomb set. -$25 Airplane Escape: Indy, Willie (white suit), short round, and 2 pilots. Large tri-motor plane with raft- $40-$50 Tank Rescue: Indy, Sallah, Henry sr., Brody, Vogel, 2 baddies(nazis), and driver. large tank with comparment inside to hold henry and brody and a drivers seat. Also includes a small truck to hold the nazis. Plus 2 horses 1 for Indy and 1 for sallah. I think these sets are VERY probable and are probably the only ones left that involve enough action to be turned into a set. I like the Tank chase turnning into more of a "Indy and sallah have to rescue Henry Sr. and Marcus Brody" There are still other sets they could make but this make sense if their canceling the line. heck they could make the tank a TRU/SAH exclusive and even raise the price up to $70 and would probably still sell it well.
