  1. If we don’t get a vote today, we’ll be in exactly the same boat tomorrow. Technically everyone is splitting the vote, whichever way you look at it. Ozzels contributions have not been helpful, and I would be happy to vote for him if it secures us a lynch.
  2. I never said I voted you because you defended yourself, I voted for you because you called out others w8thout having said much yourself.
  3. The point I was trying to make was, at that point you hadn't given any thoughts on the current discussion (other than the whole Vulcan thing) and then came on saying you'd like to hear from other players. "With the various topics of discussion ranging from Vulcans? to what mechanics could be in play to whether or not we should lynch, I would have to say that we seem to be all over the place and not really focused. As for day 1 suspicions of my own, hard to say, since everyone is all over the place. No one really stands out at this time. Get rid of the most quiet? That could result in the loss of a PR or someone who really has nothing to say Day 1. Get rid of the most talkative? Then we run the risk of all the officers going quiet. And the others are all in the middle ground accusing and finger pointing. No I have not cast an initial vote; I will but at this point it looks like we are terribly divided and probability is in a no lynch" Another example from Day One, you talk about wanting a Day One lynch and a clear focal point for discussion, yet you don't seem to have a clear viewpoint on who you want to vote for, you jump around not actually making a decision. The problem with a No lynch on Day One, is we're left in a situation where we either lynch a quiet/inactive townie or an Officer who we think is scum. I still don't fully get the case on Daala, I mean understand she's been inactive, but my gut feeling points to Jellico more. Someone who I was also suspicious of yesterday. I remember in a previous Holofilm, it was said that Day One was building our fire and Night one was lighting it, but there was no fire, and that's why in the position we are now. Vote: Lady K (Captain Jellico)
  4. Very interesting topic , I generally use EB everyday, unless of course there’s I no Wi-Fi, very busy etc. I remember when I first joined the site there was talk of both a potential EB app and YouTube channel, the app would alert you if you were quoted and what not, but I guess the update since then has fixed a lot of that. 1.) Definitly! The small, one off contests are always fun to do, and I think to add on more advertising for contests within the site would be good, so more front paging of contest entries, approaching deadlines etc. 2.) I like them, it’s a great way to get members more involved in the site’s activities, members might see the tags and think “They look interesting, how can I get some of those”. 3.) It was reviews that brought me to the site in the first place, so initially I did use them a lot, I’ve noticed whilst a lot of the D2C/UCS sets get reviewed, usually at the time of their release, a lot of the smaller sets don’t always get reviewed. 4.) Yes, Mafia. 5.) Neither, I did visit the Star Wars blog a lot, but that seems to have been down since about February now. 6.) For contests yes, I feel more motivated when I’m building towards something. I use Brickshelf. 7.) Definitely Specalized threads, the problem with broad threads is that the OP says one thing, a moderator says another thing, another mod says something else, and the thread can end up spiralling out of control. As there’s no strict set of rules, people can deviate so it ends up being a mish mash of speculation, real rumours, etc. 8.) Usually it’s the Star Wars thread, but I always check out the General, Licenced, Community, forums too. I heavily agree with this, I know it’s a huge ask, but updating, (or maybe even creating new ones altogether) Review Indexes with updated Reviews would make it easier to find specific reviews.
  5. Fair enough, like I said it feels too much of a long shot to try and fish for power roles. I think what Jellico was getting at was, yes, you started a discussion, but then you didn’t join in at all after it had started, so what it looked like was you trying to get an easy bandwagon off. That said, Jellioc feels to me like a stronger choice of lynch, her lack of thoughts on a Day One, combined with calling out others for not voting really pinged me. But that doesn’t make the your inactivity any better, you were both still inactive, and what’s more is that you called Ozzie, for being inactive, without addressing your own inactivity or thoughts.
  6. Although Ozzel hasn’t really kept his word, at least he’s given a vote, something to go, something to discuss, but you haven’t said anything other than expressing your sadness that the director died.
  7. First off sorry for the absence, there was a womp rat and snake infestation on Level 23, all cleared up now. I can’t quote between topics, so bear with me here. “Well this certainly should get discussion going. As far as the Day 1 lynch, I have seen advantages and disadvantages recently to both. I do think it is better to have than to have not. As to who? Right now most are joining in the discussion....most, but not all. I would really like to hear more from those who have said very little before casting my vote (even an initial one).” This is one of the things you said yesterday, it pinged me because you hadn’t said anything much at the time, yet you were trying to call out other players because they hadn’t said much, even though you yourself hadn’t said much either. You then said you wanted to hear more before casting your vote, as though you were waiting for a bandwagon you could jump on. It was an odd thing to say, and probably what I found even more confusing was how out of the blue it was. At the point in the game we had been discussing no lynch vs Lynch, and Piett came out with that, despite the fact no one had ever brought it up before. That said though, power fishing on Day One (even if it was indirect) does seem kind of a long shot.
  8. To be fair even if Jellico had voted for the person with most votes it might not have made a huge difference, but I do agree that her behaviour yesterday was suspicious, I pointed out earlier he didn’t contribute hugely, just agreeing with the general .consensus and voting.
  9. Very sad to have lost the good Director, it seems unlikely that he would revenge kill. As that would have been read into the next day (just as we're doing now). I'm still not entirely convinced by Colonel Dellus's voting, he votes for a what is clearly a joke vote, realises he can't start a bandwagon, so hops on to the next available one (Tarkin). In past Holographic documents I've read, on Day one especially, scum kills don't always have concrete reasoning behind them, but more "We need to kill someone, let's pick somebody" and it just so happens that the poor Director was that someone.
  10. If we do lynch a loyal member, one thing that is useful is how others reacted to the lynch, and how they for/against it they were. Now that’s not to say that everyone who was pushing for the Lynch is a traitor, but it’s always worth seeing who the main advocatirs were. It can also help us identify the scummier votes in the bandwagon e.g. the “I agree with what everyone’s been saying I’ll vote for person X” type votes.
  11. To me Day One is like catalyst for the rest of the game, what we do today, affects tomorrow, and then what we do tomorrow plus what we today affects the day after that etc. And it can really depend on who (if anyone) dies during the night and we see allegiances when it becomes helpful (plus of course whoever was lynched). I remember someone saying there was one(?) game, where a scum was lynched on the first day.
  12. My Apologies, I'm on my holographic device, in which signatures are not showing up, I saw the profile picture and assumed Veers was Legoracer1. Vote: Colonel Dellus (LegoRacer1)
  13. No problem, thanks for sharing what your thoughts, My gut feeling, for reasons stated earlier is General Veers. Vote: General Veers (LegoRacer1)
  14. I understand the vote for Ozzel, but I don't get the one for Piett, but thanks for explaining the votes anyway Not at all, if I had to cast a vote it would either be between Captain Jellico, for his lack of contribution and sheepish posts or Veers for his vote for what I believe, was an attempt to start a bandwagon. I'm more inclined to vote for Veers, since I'm not sure why anyone would read so much into a joke vote that wasn't even made in the game thread. Fair enough, I guess the allegiance of the lynch plus voting patterns can help once out together. I'm not against a Day One lynch, but after two games we accidentally targeted PR roles I just don't want to throw the lynch out randomly.
  15. I agree, and like I said scum are usually not the inactive ones, however there’s no point in being a quiet loyalist, because that doesn’t help the loyals in the long run. That’s said though there is one player who’s been inactive and gone unnoticed, Captain Jellico, he’s said 4 things today, two of which have been the usual, “I agree with this” type posts.
  16. I’m not explicitly defending Admiral Piett here, but I feel like this is where weve been going wrong, we’re too focused on going “Did you say this?” “Are you saying you’ll do this?” And then voting for them. I know it’s Day One and everything but I think if we do this we’re going down the wrong path here. Inactivity isn’t a scum tell necessarily no, but, would you rather lynch a townie who hasn’t said much and is unlikely to say much in the future or would you rather lynch an active townie based on something they said that might be scummy?
  17. To be fair, even if there was some kind of mechanic, it's only Day One, so we wouldn't know about it until later in the game. I agree with the last part, the thing is it all depends on how well we utilize the voting patterns the next day. And this is where I'm concerned, say we do make a lynch today and try and analyse the voting patterns tomorrow, how successful will we be? Its all very well saying we're going to use the patterns, but is there a guarantee we're going to catch a scum? I'm curious has there ever been a game where a scum has been caught and lynched based mostly off voting patterns? For most of the games I've played it's usually down to a night action result like a track or an investigation that a scum has been caught.
  18. This pings me slightly, since I feel like you're trying to start an easy bandwagon, to me it was a joke vote. Something that wasn't to be taken seriously.
  19. I feel like in previous times we've been too focused on trying vote for someone by catching them out on something they've said. If we're going to have a day one lynch, then it should be a less active player.
  20. I agree with both Yularen and Jellico in terms of active players, what I’ve noticed with lynching is you have think about it in the long run, if a players is quiet now, what guarantees they’ll speak up and vote in the future? If you mean game mechanics wise, maybe, there could be a new role mechanic or it could just be a regular game. In a lot of stories I have read there’s been a new/unusual role that’s been the twist of the game.
  21. Thanks for the info , If I could ask, is it an open play set like the DS? Or does it have some kind of cover/roof.
  22. The thing we don’t want to do is vote out a PR on the first day, so in that regard holding off might be a good idea, but, what we also don’t want it is Officers saying “oh yeah, let’s not vote now” and the conversation going dead. Admiral Piett has yet to make an appearance, I can see where you’re coming from but when the voting splits, it becomes useful since the scum aren’t all going to vote for the same player so you can start to get of a feel of where they might be in the voting, plus when the allegiance of the Lynch is revealed you can see who was against/reserved about it and who was for it.
  23. I'd like to know that too, what's this sudden problem you have with him? Interesting, we would need some kind of ship to get us to that Universe. Maybe the Devastator or the Executer.
  24. Traitors! We’ve had problems like this before, I believe Agent Kallus of the ISB had committed similar crimes only to escape.
  25. It appears we do! I was not informed of that transaction, I guess it means less Rebel Scum.
