LEGO is expensive ) If you want to build cool city you should spend a lot of money. I build my city for 5, may be more years, and I do not know how much I have spend ) For example, only 40 white baseplates costs me more then 1000 euro You may try to build city in microscale

Thanks! all the buildings are MOCs, transport are sets (approx 70%) and MOCs (30%) Sand green I have ordered in LUG BULK program (5000 1x2 bricks, 1000 1x6) the size of the layout is 4*2 meters (8*15 standart baseplates) And I have Four 9V train rings with timers ) No, I have not Will Ferrell :)))
