yep it was the wednesday before SDCC which is today!

i'd like a ucs ARC-170, V-Wing and a few others besides so not just OT for me even the Clone wars has some decent designs, Torrent, Republic shuttle etc. anyway less thanb 24hr to the lego exclusive news...maybe??

there are also people who will not pay the high price for such a poor large set and have the money to spend on a smaller better detailed UCS set.

Time for another UCS even though the previous isn't finished lol. UCS Tie Bomber in scale with all the other UCS Tie's There are some good UCS Tie bombers out there Walter's Jamie75's and Spacepilot3000's i've not found any more but let me know if you know of any. As always i will post pictures of my progress.

That would work but as i mentioned the gap is tapered front to back.

i have my friend challenged with the crane part as he has a vast array of technic parts, so once i have braced and reinforced the front section i shall then complete the interior. currently my next UCS is taking shape from the pile of lego i have, luckily it's a lot smaller and uses popular colours for a change.

the gap along the middle is tapered, at the very front the gap is not really there and just gets wider the further bqack you go, the only way to fix it would be to build the tops the same as the bottom, you could probably re jig the mounts but it seems a lot of work (having looked through the entire instruction book) the best solution would be to build your own version.
