  1. They are rarely put online ahead of time, maybe 1-2 sets show up right around Christmas, maybe a week before. However the last few years they have gotten earlier and earlier.
  2. I was at Target (USA) and they had several sets on sale, some Star Wars and some Atlantis. The Star Wars I ignore, but the newest wave of Atlantis seemed to be on sale. The $50 base/sub I think was 39, the $20 set was $15, the $25 set was $22, and a few more.
  3. Black Friday is called that because black = money. It used to be that most of the holiday sales, most of the yearly sales happened on Black Friday, but that's no longer the case with the internet and Christmas shopping starting in September. Isn't the limo and helicopter normally $30 anyways?
  4. I completely agree. The only thing good about this new theme is the new cop torso. I noticed the helicopter pad in the first pictures and thought it was funny because that the new helicopter is huge. Do they still make the $10 one from a few years back? Now that would be perfect for this set.
  5. Was it last year they started showing up right after Halloween? Since The LEGO Brand Stores have opened up the "new year" sets seem to come out early. I remember buying the fire sets for World City right before Thanksgiving in 2005 I think. Not all the sets are released early, but at least some City sets should be showing up within the next 6 weeks.
  6. I like... Aquazone Divers World City Trains Fantasy Castle Ice Planet This is in no order.
  7. That place is tiny! It reminds me of a Moroccan restaurant that I love in Northampton, MA, USA. If anyone is around there go and eat at it, you can't miss it. Great food. Anyways, nice job, the Moroccan place is about just as small.
  8. I like the fact that even through Space Police is most likely ending that it can continue on a little bit longer through these minifigures. I think that is a very smart move on LEGO's part.
  9. I doubt they will connect a 2011 theme to a 1997 theme. I think we probably will have little jokes like they added in Space Police 2009-2010.
  10. If that is true, which I really doubt, then I will have a few choice words for LEGO. Germany and the USA make up the majority of LEGO sales, making sets for 5% of people to buy is a joke.
  11. That's the plan for the movie and sets beginning with 5 are Duplo Cars 2 sets.
  12. The only one of those I could see happening is the Titanic. The rest are license sets that LEGO will never buy, or would be stupid to buy.
  13. Yes we do because I'd like to make fun of Walmart. i have been to two Walmarts that had the $100 Space Police space ship for the low low clearance price of $100! Really, it wasn't on sale at all! This is how Walmart works, they NEVER lower the price of sets in some stores, what clearance means to them is that they are no longer in the ordering system and once those few sets are sold out it's gone for good, they will never go on sale. They might have them in the back room and will stick them back out if the shelves are bare, but they will never lower the price at some stores. I saw a $20 Spongebob set for $20 clearance section for over two years. I just figured they will wait until a LEGO fan comes in and buys it at the full price clearance price because you can't find it anywhere else.
  14. What I was saying several pages back is that the old police station (aka the current one) is just like the new one but they stuck the new one on a corner. The current (old) one had a dog van and it looks just like the 2011 one. Normally LEGO has new Police sets every 3 years but they at least look somewhat different, these don't at all. It's just lazy on LEGO part.
  15. My problem is that they had a dog van in the last police station that looks just like the new one. If LEGO needs to make a new police station every 3 years at least change the sets up a little.
  16. Space for 2011 is City Space and Star Wars. That's what I think. I'm hoping we get Ice Planet in 2012, could even call it Ice Planet 2012, a sequel theme.
  17. I was just at a LEGO Store and would have picked one of these sets up if I saw it!
  18. 6494 Mystic Mountain Time Lab is an awesome set! I got it for $20-$30 many many years ago at a TRU. It could really use a review. I can't because I have no clue where I stuck the directions.
  19. We are becoming like England and the USA with season / series. Once again for the final time, wave to me is when LEGO releases sets in a theme at two different times IN THE SAME YEAR. City has wave one wave two and wave three in 2010. There is City 2010 and City 2011. Agents 2008 had one wave and so did 2009. Agents was released the first week of June of 2008 and Agents 2.0 was released the last week of May 2009. None were released in January. Also Agents actually didn't continue, it became Agents 2.0 because LEGO made a few more sets because the first wave sold so well. That's why I think World Racers was never supposed to continue next year because the sets have mission numbers like Agents. Mission numbers limit sets. If a theme sets come out in the only summer of one year they can't come out with more in January of the next because that doesn't give LEGO enough time to design sets. PQ is a January set so it's more than likely that we will see even more sets come the summer time, unless they have a ton of license sets coming out then.
  20. Of course we will be getting another year, can we use some actually info, and common sense... The theme will of course continue, why wouldn't it? LEGO just redid the Castle theme, to end it? Plus LEGO has come out numerous times saying that Town, Space, and Castle are all landmark LEGO themes and will never go anywhere. Now that might mean that next years "Space" will City Space and Star Wars, but that's still space. Kingdoms isn't being replaced by PQ or NinjaGO, those are action themes that come around every couple of years. Kingdoms is the new Castle theme for now... until LEGO changes it again. The theme will continue next year. There are no pictures because Kingdoms is a summer time theme.
  21. Yes, but it's clear you didn't actually take the time to read mine. Movie themes and summer themes do not get a second wave, they might get a second year of sets, but not a second wave. Wave to me is different than year. 2011 will see several waves of City sets, Police in January, NASA in April, XXXXXXX in July. So it's possible that both PQ and Ninja will get more sets than these shown next year, aka a second wave. Maybe not. Hell World Racers might even get another year, but I doubt that, and I doubt it was part of LEGO's plan.
  22. I rather have only one black ninja, than the several we are getting. Ninja's are wearing cloth so it makes more sense for them to be rainbow colors than metal of knights in KK2. Also KK2 tried to be somewhat realistic, this theme is so over the top why not have an orange or lime green ninja?
  23. This is the only set (USA version) in the theme I never bought, I don't know why I never got it. It was 50%+ like the rest of the theme, just never got around to it. The set was 10 Euro, or should have been. This set was $10, the big hummer was $20.
  24. One is based on a movie, that doesn't count. Also World Racers is a summer theme. With Power Miners and Atlantis they had two waves the first year, January and the summer. I think PQ is the new Power Miners and Atlantis theme for the year, so that we will get two waves in the year. Just a guess. World Racers doesn't seem popular, but if it were there wouldn't be enough time to make a second wave of sets this year, so we would get another year of sets, not another wave.
  25. The short version. Magnet minifigures are cheap Chinese MegaBloks.
