I do not have a car, I take a backpack everywhere because those reusable bags are horrible. I have never ever had an issues in any store I have ever gone into and that is dozens and dozens... besides one, TRU. If Borders or B&N tried the BS that TRU does no one would be left in the store. And you can run, but that looks guilty when the cops come, but I don't steal things. I have talked to a mall guard before, he told me that they are there just for show and have no real power. If there is a serious issue they are there to call the cops, that they can't even legally touch you, never mind your bag. If you say no to opening the bag they don't really do anything, however people are too stupid not to say no. He was a nice guy, talked to him for a bit, explained that most of the time things being stolen are down by 13-15 year olds and they don't know any better, so when they are told to open the bag they do and there is the stuff. Sadly their parents never told them not to steal... hell where I live it's more likely that the parents told the kids to steal something.

Not always, but even if it did TRU has no legal right to even open my bag. You can steal from any place, they are security guards and not police. They are really only for show. My backpack was PACKED! I couldn't fit anything else in there. i went on a trip and came back on a bus that was near TRU. My point is they told me i would have to leave my bag at the service desk when women don't need to leave their purses there. That's sexist! They had three people come over, I got hear the walkie talkies as everyone was acting like I had a bomb in my bag. I gave the bag to the service deck, looked at LEGOs for 5 minutes and took 15 minutes for someone to get my bag. I have been in a TRU after 3 times sense, including yesterday when they made it a BRU/TRU. So megabluck TRU, megabluck them hard, I hope they go out of business and I will and laugh my megablocks off, I megablocking hate them with the strength of 10 suns.

I hate TRU for real reasons like they are sexist pigs. I can't have my backpack in the store, but women can have a purse 10 times bigger? megabluck TRU.

You can within two months. I went to my TRU, they didn't have them, so don't worry too much. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's what I'm saying! "He can turn around and sell them". OK so there is an excuse for that, but that doesn't make him any less of a *beeeeeeep*. A Box is fine, two is iffy, 11 is just insane and if I saw him in line I would have made a scene. -

I think the guy in that picture is an megablocks for buying 12 boxes, there is no excuse for that. -
Pharaoh's Quest 2011

Thank you. And ouch! 125 pieces for $20? It's not like the plane is anything special. Even by today's standards those prices are high. -

Not bad prices, did you noticed a rough piece count on any of the sets? -
Alien invasion movies are finally making a comeback, so this is a good idea. Plus this fits more into City than NASA does. Aliens are invading LEGO City, I can see this as happening. Hope it's true.

Should Lego change the way they sell Track ?
The Green Brick Giant replied to The Yellow Brick's topic in LEGO Train Tech
From what I have seen of how people make the MOC pieces is that they are rather small, I think tracks would just be too much. -
Should Lego change the way they sell Track ?
The Green Brick Giant replied to The Yellow Brick's topic in LEGO Train Tech
YES! I was lucky and bought a ton of track from LEGO when the 9v was 75% off. I got boxes for $4.75ish. My only mistake is I bought too much straight and curved track and I wish I bought another cross track. 9v had cross and switch rains, I guess they didn't sell because I remember the double switch rain non 9v piece went on clearance rather quickly. I really wish LEGO would take Trains more seriously or they could have just kept 9v around. LEGO Trains right now aren't at all kid friendly. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
However, like City, LEGO repeats themselves every few years because kids won't remember that there was another surfer or cheerleader. However I agree with you. I think it would be better if they did 4 sets of 8 minifigures a year. It's still collectible, but easier to do. Plus I think it would be great to have seasonal items. If one series is around Halloween, make a ghost, werewolf, witch. Then have a Santa with the new beard and a printed torso. Summer series can have summer minifigures, winter ones have snow balls and such. For fall they could have a new rake piece. Sure Aussies would be screwed up with the different seasons, but no one pays attention to them anyways. -
Who have I insulted? I'm saying let's think before we post, like think before you speak. And if I reported every case of immaturity in this topic, there would be about a page left.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think a list is hard to judge anything from, if it's real or not. I'm sure we will see another cheerleader too, repeating ideas isn't bad, more so because I haven't bought any of the minifigures yet. I'm hoping Series 3 has a ton like series 2, which just recently sold out on S@H in the USA, but I want to buy them in stores, which I haven't seen them for the real price. ($4 at Borders is insane, but people paid for that, because they are going quick.) -
Can people think before posting 10 pages of insanity and just not using common sense? Are people here supposed to be over 18? Can we act like it? Common sense... 1. LEGO wouldn't rename Castle Kingdoms to end it. 2. Castle is a stable, nothing is going to replace it next year, except another Castle related theme. 3. Narnia 3 comes out two weeks after Harry Potter Part 1, it will bomb. 4. Narnia sets can't come out several months after the movie... which will bomb. 5. Disney dropped Narnia 3 two years ago because the movies bomb. 6. Castle is a summer theme,we have no summer pictures yet. 7. There is supposed to be at least one new set, the mindmill. So can we just think before we go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on with useless speculation just because we haven't seen summer sets yet?

Pharaoh's Quest 2011
The Green Brick Giant replied to Fugazi's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nah, it's about right. For some reason LEGO Stores and TRU in the USA will get random sets from the new year in November, with all the sets from the new lines filling in until Christmas. It's not at all a wide release, or anything specific. It's more like LEGO is saying "Buy this year's sets because look how awesome next year sets are". -
Target USA this week has BOGO50% on Harry Potter and PoP.

Pharaoh's Quest 2011
The Green Brick Giant replied to Fugazi's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm guessing the prices will be $6, $11, $20, $50 and $100 but the Sphinx being $45 is weird, I just assumed it would be $50, maybe it will only be $40-$45. LEGO pricing now-a-days is very weird. -
While I agree that there will be sets, just in the summer so we won't see them yet, Pirates had a set this year too, doesn't mean the theme continues.

You bought brand new sets for a collection? Why not wait awhile and get them on sale.

2011 Atlantis sets
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
There is no way the temple is $60. The fish set is $20 and 16 Euro. So if we do the bath for that the set will be a very nice $70. If it's $60 I will be the happiest one here. The set is nice, but comparing it to the $20 PQ set this set should really be $15. -
2011 Atlantis sets
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Oddly enough right now 58 Euro, someone here said the temple cost, is $80, which is what I think it will be. The "big" sub $40-$50, then the big fish set for $20 and then $13 for the mech and $6 for the tiny set. Just guesses. -
2011 Atlantis sets
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I really like these sets, much better than the first round. I'm not a huge fan of the huge sub, but still really nice mix of sets. BTW - The pictures probably should be posted in the first topic, so everyone doesn't keep quoting pictures. Looking at them more the helmet should be dark grey, it looks very weird with the dark grey suit.
