No good - you don't ship to the UK Edit: hang on, this is EuroBricks, but you don't actually ship to anywhere in Europe! 8-|

Let's make EB more of a community
captaintau replied to Legoman's topic in Forum Information and Help
I was thinking much the same. Spot on. -
Just finished building mine. I'm a bit behind, I know. I like it, though it could have done with some "x2" instructions on the treads. Quite repetitive. Quite repetitive. Quite repetitive. ;-) I like that there are two Shadow Troopers due to hwo rare they are. Oh hang on, they arn't now that one is in a very cheap set (Imperial Dropship). Thread movement: makes sense. Come to a gap such as a ravine. Brake hard, momentum will drive treads over the cab and across the gap. Carry on. Clever, but actually very simple.

You're missing - AT-ST - TIE Advanced - TIE Interceptor - X-Wing - Snowspeeder - Millennium Falcon And those are just off the top of my head

Do you keep your Lego Boxes?
captaintau replied to RememberTheLittleGuy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I do not consider myself a "collector" as such, despite having virtually every set, aside from the new releases. I buy sets for the sets. The boxes go. I appreciate that this means value is drastically reduced, but the value is in my pleasure. -
Easy, Yoda. Shockingly there are still some folks out there that arn't familiar with BrickLink.

What book are you reading right now?
captaintau replied to Norrington's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I strongly recommend that you read the entire trilogy in five parts, though be warned that it gets really quite boring in book four. -
Do Dr Jones and the Rebels count as 2007 minifigs?

Excellent, thanks Mutley.

I would strongly suggest that you edit this post before a mod comes along. Aside from the language issue, that's a really quite offensive tone. Edit: sorry, Vader, not treading on toes. You got there right before me.

This may seem a bit sad, but what with the ISD, Republic Cruiser, Sandcrawler and all, I lost track of which Astromech droid was which. I've done a little research and come up with the following. I welcome corrections or ommissions: R1-G4 (Green, in a different style - without the common Astromech body) - in the Sandcrawler R2-D2 (Blue print on white parts) - in LOADS of sets. R2-D5 (Bronze print on black parts) - in the ISD R2-R7 (Green print on white parts) - Republic Cruiser R4-P17 (Red print on white parts) - in the Jedi Starfigher (Delta-7 version) R4-P17 (Black print on maroon parts) - in the Jedi Starfighter (Eta-2 / USB version) < this is meant to be the same droid, though in AOTC he is bodyless whereas he'd gained a body for ROTS though the body isn't in the set > R4-G9 (Bronze print on maroon parts) - Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Ring. Again, head only R5-D4 (Red print on white parts) - Y-Wing (both versions) R5-D4 (Red print on white parts with tan plate in between head and body) - Sandcrawler < these arn't the same droid, they just happen to have the same designation > Unidentified

Veering very slightly off topic, it wasn't long ago that we were complaining about sets often missing parts. I had a run of three (I think) brand new sets with bits missing. To me, this seems to have stopped. I've not been missing a piece from a new set in ages. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

What book are you reading right now?
captaintau replied to Norrington's topic in Culture & Multimedia
For once I don't have a Star Wars book on the go. I needed a break. I'm enjoying the Legacy of the Force series. Currently, it's the 24 Series 5 Official Companion and Ch'ang Hon Tae Kwon Do Hae Sul by Stewart Anslow. -
Something I forgot to mention: Firstly, LEGO seem intent on re-making pretty much every significant Star Wars Vehicle. Consider the X-Wing, Y-Wing, B-Wing, A-Wing, Sith Infiltrator, Millennium Falcon, MTT, Naboo Fighter, Slave I, AT-ST and latterly the Republic Gunship and AT-TE. Secondly, as part of this review, I read up on the AT-AT in my essential guide to vessels and vehicles. AT-ATs can be modifed to carry two AT-STs. Should LEGO re-remake the AT-AT, or if I had the money and the inclination to mod, then I'd like to see an AT-AT carrying two of the AT-ST minis, just like the mini vehicles that come with the Death Star (an ISD) and the UCS ISD (the Tantive IV). Furthermore, does Star Wars overdo acronyms? AT-AT, AT-ST, UCS, ISD, MTT, AT-TE? :-/

Some months ago, I was endeavouring to review old Star Wars sets. This lapsed for a while due to life being too busy. I'm hoping to pick it up again as best as life allows me. I was very surprised to find there wasn't a review of this set on EB, so here's mine. 10178: Motorized Waling AT-AT From Episode: Five Year of release: 2007*** RRP: $130*** Pieces: 1137*** Kuat Drive Yards Imperial All Terrain Armoured Transport. First, some set history. In 2003, LEGO released 4483, the original AT-AT. Coming with two Snowtroopers, an AT-AT pilot, a yellow Luke and containing an Imperial Speeder Bike, it remains one of the most sought-after Star Wars. A quick search of eBay reveals a brand new one going for

Oh, man, how many hours did I spend trying to replicate MASK sets with LEGO? That could be so cool.

LEGO-wise: - AT-AT for Christmas, bought for me by Mrs Tau - Republic Cruiser - Venturing outside licence themes (bought several Aqua Raiders sets) - Becoming an EB Fellow (thanks, guys, it really does mean a lot) Non-LEGO: - Temporary promotion in works, though this both a highlight and a lowlight - 4th Dan Jujitsu, so now I wear teh black-and-gold belt - Sailed through my recent Taekwondo grading - Became a world champion in Kata performance at a great championships in which I met some great fellow Martial Artists. Most of us resigned from the organisation on the last day. Huge fun That's all that springs to mind, but there will be other things.

Surely you mean 12am? And there's no need to be afraid. Happy New Year, all. I too won't be near a PC at midnight. And if I was, I'd be too drunk to type a coherant message (no change there, then?)
