Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
The Brigante replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Played the demo this morning. Feeling slightly underwhelmed. Feels like every other LEGO game, but with Marvel skins. Please say the rest feels fresh!! And not to drag this out and further, but I helped run a superhero themed summer camp this year. Nearly everyone from the die hard comic fans (like me) to those who'd never picked up a comic or seen a superhero film (like my girlfriend, don't worry, I'm educating her!) all knew the Superman theme. Maybe you wouldn't know just like that, but it's one you definitely know if you hear it. -
On Brickipedia it lists Falcon, Rocket Raccoon, Star Lord, Electro. Green Goblin, M.O.D.O.K and Winter Soldier as upcoming figs for 2014 (http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Electro). Aside from possibly Gobbie and WS, I'm assuming this is just megablocks? Or is there some big announcement I've missed?

Lucky guy... I have to help run a Fresher's party tomorrow so I won't get to see it until Saturday at the earliest! I do hope we get a Coulson figure though, so I was thinking that a set with Coulson and his team, plus maybe the jet that was shown in the trailer would make a good set. Long shot, but it gives us a bunch of SHIELD agents (minus the iconic outfit, but who's counting)

I concur that GA makes the most sense in terms of recognisability. Also, if they were to put GA in a set, Deathstroke seems most likely given his appearance in Origins, although I'd prefer Merlyn. Also, and I know this might sound like a ridiculous question, but is there a chance there's another minifigure in the Riddler set we haven't heard about? As NFS said, Flash seems a bit out of place, so it got me wondering that the set may contain one of Flash's rouges that LEGO have so far kept secret.

Personally, I reckon the Spidey sets will have Electro and Rhino as the villains, plus the Gobbie fig. My reasons are simple: if it is AMS2 then it's an explicit movie tie-in, if its not and they're USM sets (which I suspect) then Electro and Rhino are the best choice due to being the new bad guys in the movie, as well as being popular villains in USM and just in the comic world generally. I'm really hoping for Sandman as well. With the X-Men, I'm expecting/hoping/demanding comic versions. To my knowledge there's been no talk of LEGO acquiring the rights from Fox, plus the black leather wouldn't translate well into Lego. I'm really hoping they release Gambit and Havok as well!

Am I the only one getting this? I'm tempted by gold, but l'll have to see it in the flesh (or should that be aluminium!) before I decide on colour On a related note, is £250 a good deal for a 64gb black iPhone 5? Few minor scuff marks, but no damage to the screen and the camera works brilliantly.

Does anyone know what UK retailers are offering the pre-order DLC? -
Didn't he wear that jacket in X1 as well? Or was it just similar? Either way, consider this: He will be spending time with the past X-Men. FACT. The past X-Men wear yellow spandex. FACT. I think the chances of us seeing some form of the yellow and blue suit are pretty high.

I'm 18 and I collect. Mainly SH, LotR + Hobbit sets, and and Jedi minifig LEGO care to make. Most my friends find it quite cool, or at least they act that way. The ones who don't accept it as one if my quirks (of which there are many!!) Personally, I expect LEGO to stick to movies on the Marvel side, if we do get comic Marvel sets, it'll be X-Men to tie in with DofP. Maybe some USM if Lego don't do ASM2 sets. As for DC, I expect we'll see sets based on Brave and The Bold and Arkham Origins with a slight infusion of comic-ness. And as much as it pains me to say, I think we'll be waiting a while longer for a full JL set.

I'm just happy Nicholas Hoult and Lucas Till are coming back. Loved them both in First Class, although, I do hope they try and make Havok's powers more similar to his comic's counterpart.

True, but Power Man (or rather, Luke Cage) is far more prominent in the comic books.

Simple. They won't. Maybe they produce a flame on Torch by printing the costume in orange with flames and stuff, To be honest, I'd prefer a flame off Torch. Flame on is only useful for fights but a flame off is a lot more multi-purpose.

0:28 You can see Cyke on the right!! Not sure I like big Colossus though.... :/ -
Hey! My girlfriend's called Johanna! Personally, and this might sound odd, but whilst I love the Hunger Games, not the biggest fan of how it's written. Much prefer things when it's like someone's telling you a story of their adventures than it all seeming to take place as you read. Still, as I said, love the series and the first film and very much looking forward to Catching Fire!

Just a thought here. With Nova being in GotG, do you think LEGO will use the current Nova mini-fig or create a new version, should they do a GotG set? -
Still no word on Iron Man 4..... But heck, that is BRILLIANT!!!! There is no Stark without RDJ in my opinion (and many other people's no doubt!)

I'm really hoping they move away from Batman. Yes, I know he sells, but the theme is meant to be Super Heroes, not 'Batman and an occasional guest appearance from Supes/other JLA member'. -Rant over -
Well, Microsoft just brought me back with that. Don't have to miss out on Halo and Forza now. Yay!

Hm. Other Hulk-like characters? Am I the only one who instantly thought Juggernaut and Thing? Also, I think the guy under Spidey might be Doc Ock, but don't quote me. I'm wondering who the silloueted guy beneath Hulk is. That's an interesting head! -

'Overloaded with Lego goodness'. I think I already am. This looks soooo amazing. If I wasn't already sold on this (which I was) I am now. Can't wait for October now! -
Neither straight away. Largely depends on whether Xbox exclusives come on 360 as well as X1. If they do, I'll get a PS4, if not I guess I'll have to get an X1.

I'd be highly surprised if we don't get a Green Arrow/ Deathstroke set in the not too distant future. Off Topic: Slade in Arrow is amazing. One of the best tv characters I've seen in a while. -
I think it's just a matter of time before we get BC. We've already got the big 3, AC and Robin. Aside from the other 3 core JL-ers (and arguably Cyborg), she along with Green Arrow and Nightwing are the most likely to appear in a set.
