Literally just finished Thor:TDW and while I feel a full wave like IM 3 would be too much IMHO, a D2C or store exclusive as Asgard would have been awesome. Seems like a MASSIVELY missed opportunity. I doubt The Winter Soldier will get any sets, something is bound to have leaked by now, what with film coming out within the month. Still a chance The Winter Soldier could turn up as an exclusive, although with MM already being one this year, it seems unlikely, unless Lego are doing a Marvel and a DC exclusive minifigure,

I thought All Hail The King was blu-ray exclusive? Missed The Dark World in cinemas so I look forward to picking it up tonight and watching it!!

This may sound stupid, but does anyone know if it has to be bang on £50? I want to get MM and am thinking of picking up the Hulk Lab Smash to get him. Would I need to get another set (probably the trike set) or would the cost of the Hulk set (£49.99) be enough?

It's almost taunting. 'Want me? Well you're not gonna get me, so tough'. Very Hal Jordan though. Seriously hope we do get a GL. I was lucky enough to pick up a Christo GL, but that's the movie version. If Lego make one, and it's classic, I will be happy indeed. And whilst characters like the Hawks are needed, I'll bet my annual lego budget that we see Cyborg and/or GA in a set next (excluding GL of course).

I honestly don't know about IM 4. I know RDJ only signed a 2 film contract (Avengers 2+3). Whether he'll show up as Iron Man or just Stark is something I've been wondering a while. The theory (assuming it's correct) that JARVIS becomes Ultron makes me think he would, but only for a short while, to sort out 'his problem'. But then, Don Cheadle is also supposedly in it. As for Young Avengers, I'm not sure exactly what the deal is with Fox and Marvel regarding the whole mutant issue is, but they might get away with being able to say they were born with abilities. I dunno, might have the same issue with Hulkling. Either way, they'd probably have to tweak Wiccan and Speed's origin anyway, having teen kids that are somehow Wanda's reincarnated kids might work in comic book storytelling, but I'm not sure how well that would translate onto screen.

Firstly, calm down. Many of my friends (and me) are becoming increasingly fed up with the exposure Batman is getting in all forms of media over other prominent DC characters and some of them have been reading Batman comics all their lives! As far as the sets go, aside from Joker's steamroller, all the builds either seem 'meh' or just must-avoid. I'll give you the figs though. Some are nice, mainly Damien and Babs. But red Nightwing? I'll think I'll stick with my original blue thanks. Will Batman always be popular as he is? I really doubt it. In time I think more and more people will get fed up with how often he appears. I mean, dare I say, he can get a bit boring at times. But compare DC, who showcase only Batman, and arguably Supes and now GA, with Marvel who showcase far more of their characters. Does anyone complain about how Iron Man is hogging the limelight? Spidey? No, because Marvel balances. And it shows with our responses with the sets. I personally am delighted we already have Nova, Iron Fist, Falcon and Cage and highly disappointed we don't even have a full JLA roster yet. Oh, and would kids want Asteroid M? I don't know generally, but after completing the Magento level of Lego Marvel, my kid brother (8) immediately got his Lego out and tried to build it, so yeah. I think they would.

I was trying to get at how feasible it would be to get the current movies in the MCU canon, and have Garfield be the MCU Spider-Man. I get that they could easily 'do a Hulk', I was more wondering whether Marvel could simply take over production of the ASM film series or not.
-
Bit early to say that at the moment, seeing how Peter hasn't really had a chance to make the choice. Also, how easy/difficult would it be for the switcheroo to take place, what with contracts and all? Don't get me wrong, I would have a thousand nerdgasms if he showed up in the MCU, I'm just uncertain as to just how feasible it is.

What was the last movie you watched?
The Brigante replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm still watching it, but The Social Network. Great film, and staring one of favourite actors- Andrew Garfield. Jesse Eisenberg is also pretty good in it. -
I'm not as excited as I was expecting I'd be about AoE. I mean, I loved the first three, and Grimlock is a definite pull, I just, dunno. I think there are a lot of films out this year (mostly of a Marvel/Hobbit/Hunger Games variety) that I'd rather go see.....

Is it just me, or does the shield look, off somehow?

Avengers Mansion Ambush (£129.99)- contains hangar for a Quinjet and Cap's Motorcycle, a couple of bedrooms, training area, meeting room, medical bay and entrance room (maybe with pictures of Avengers?). Comes with Jarvis, Giant-Man/ Yellowjacket (not sure which), Wasp, Vision, Black Panther, Baron Zemo, Absorbing Man and Grim Reaper.

Been a while since I posted here, but SOME of the 2014 minifigs look amazing (and yes, I'm in the GG is awesome camp). Nice to see classic Cap and Thor as well. Probably get Thor and use him as Ragnarok, likewise the new brown Wolverine could easily double as Daken in my collection :) :) On the subject of exclusives: hate them with a passion. Especially living in the UK where even if I did have enough money to buy one on eBay or wherever, I'd have to pay astronomical postage charges. I do, however, like the idea of preview figs. If they'd have done Falcon and Cage for Marvel and Dick and Babs for DC, for example, the fans would be so much happier as some would get figs early and those that didn't would know they just have to wait a few months for sets, not wait a few months to have £/$X000.

Not to mention Jeremy Renner not being happy about Clint being nothing like his comic book counterpart. I haven't yet seen confirmation that he will reprise the role....

I also assume he's between WoM and EoT. I certainly think he's post-Rose and it seems logical he's post-Donna due to the lack of companion. I'm hoping we get some kind of confirmation in episode, but based on past multi-doctor stories it seems less than probable. -

Night Of The Doctor is on YouTube: No spoilers, but it's brilliant and sets up John Hurt's character fantastically. -
Looking at those two pics, and comparing it to the ASM2 design, I can't really tell the two that much apart (especially the comic). Plus, if we do get a variant, Superior would be pretty cool considering Ock's the villian. Man, I'm hoping it IS a superior variant now.... But as always, I'm preparing for disappointment

I remember reading somewhere that out of the guys we know already, Hawkeye would most likely take Stark's place on the opposite side to Cap. Makes sense right now, what with Clint being a SHIELD agent. As for where Stark would go, I have no idea, would most likely depend on the cause of the conflict.

Are you sure Hulk IS Hulk? I really hope he's a stand in for Abomination or Rulk, but I'll probably be disappointed.....
