  1. An eye for an eye... Makes the world blind.

  2. Sylph looked up at Romulus and said nothing. He looked back at the dying Aquos and removed the dagger from his eye. "Show remorse and you may see for once before you die. I cannot speak for my compatriot's actions, but know that hate begets hate." He mumbled. "It can't be long now." Sylph turned and addressed the party, standing up. He no longer appeared to be brooding, but rather, the same self-confident leader the party was familiar with. "Everyone gets 40 gold. Romulus, you get the garnet. It would serve us well if you would lend it to Elgar for the duration of this campaign. Also, if you wouldn't mind returning the items you received during the battle, you can do that now. I'll take the Trial Brew, as no one else would claim it. Alex, you may have the elixir. Johon, you used many of your phoenix essences and for that I am grateful. Take the Phoenix Essence. Galen, of course the Egg is yours. Galen, Romulus and Johon, you all get potions. Elgar, Alex and I get Tonics."
  3. "Hold your sword. Even if you won't show compassion, as is your right, I wish to fulfill my own imperative. When we're done, you may put him out of his misery."
  4. Oh, I certainly intended to vote for Flare, I just thought that he was MacK in Jedi Temple Mafia. Since that's not the case, it doesn't effect my case for voting for Flare all that much. The game was a long while back (I think almost a year now) so I jumbled up the characters. As I said, I've been rather busy. I wasn't completely sold, but i didn't disagree at all with the previous cases made for him, and lacking any other incites--I hadn't even seen the Hinckley case when I last checked in for more than 5 minutes--I dicided that I hadto vote, and Flare's vote seemed the most likely to help us. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. Crap. I confused Flare with MacK all of day one, and he only called me out on it around 2 in the morning. (Granted, I posted after that, but so sue me for waking up at 3 in the morning to check the mafia game and find that my vote wasn't counted.) Ah well. That wasn't integral to why I voted to lynch him. Is this the sort of stuff we shouldn't be posting in the night thread? Do I have to engage in a pillow fight? This is a game thread, right? And to keep in character: ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. "Al fair points Galen, Romulus, but I am compelled ti help this dying creature. It is not entirely impossible that if we show him compassion now, we won't Regret it later. There's much at work here, and if we do not perform the occasional good deed or miracle, than what right do we have to call ourselves Heroes? Otherwise, we're no better than mercenaries. I do not ask you to join this farewell. Take what you want from his corpse. I simply wish to fulfill my own obligation to the natural code with this beast that walks the line of nature and abomination. Such is my duty... as a druid. Those who feel compassion for dying creatures--no matter how vile--are welcome to join me. Elgar, Alex, and I are the only part necessarily to the ritual though. We will have time to rest afterwards, so no one is wasting anything." Spoke Sylph gently, but grimly from his crouching position. He hadn't stopped staring at the dead eyes of the dying beast. 'I would be no better than this twisted creature if I faltered from my goal. While the means justifies the ends, I must maintain my compassion so that all the killing I do does not consume and corrupt me.' Sylph thought darkly to himself, still wondering why he displayed such hate towards the creature, when he believed himself to be above that emotion. "While we're deliberating, everybody speak out as to what he wants from the loot. I'll take the Trial if no one wants it. but with this many items, I'd like to have some party feedback as to who gets what. Otherwise, I'll split the loot as I see fit."
  7. What? I voted. Whatever, I'll try again. Vote: Flare. Better God Def? Don't smite me! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  8. After about 6 days of on and off work, I finally finished my Avatar diorama! Tomorrow I will try to take the picture! It's heavily greebled and inspired by Cyberpunk (I've just finished watching all of the Ghost in the Machine I could get my hands on. ) It also finally features the Insectoid Queen. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  9. Now you see why I made it a curb-stamp! For the Pathos! It's got Sylph inner-monologue-ing ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  10. "I fear that is the case." Stated Sylph grimly, still staring into the beast's eyes. 'I cannot allow myself to fall into hatred as Aquos did. I must not be cruel. I must not enjoy depriving even the most vile of their lives. There is much yet to be done that only I can do. I cannot stray from the path of righteousness for so little so early. Though these are all but trials, I cannot falter now.' he thought to himself, as he watched the twisted creature bleed out its bad blood.
  11. Curb-Stomp accomplished.

    1. Endgame

Eidolon will tear you to shreds and feed the corpse confetti to the larvae.

"No." Stated Sylph grimly. "No he won't"

  12. I wanted to let everyone punch him. It wasn't much of a risk really. Could I have done it with no risk at all? Sure. Would that have entailed a final curb-stomp defeat? Not one as cool as we pulled off. We'll rest for sure after this too--unless endgame's a jerk and throws a kitchen sink (level 28) at us. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  13. "Fair enough, Aquos. I realize that I took it too far. Even a wretched creature bent on revenge and twisted by hatred deserves the same respect all living creatures deserve when they need to die. I won't apologize for my words. Words mean nothing--you should know that by now--but I will try to grant you a dying wish. I do not hate you. Perhaps I can grant you some peace before you go. Elgar, Alex, come here. Perhaps Arcane magic in tandem with natural magic and divine magic can restore the wretch's eyesight. It's worth a shot. Expend as much ether as is necessarily. We'll rest later." upon saying that, the grim-helmed Sylph knelt down before the creature's eye grates and stared into it's unblinking, unseeing, glowing eyes. 'If you could see my face,' Sylph wondered, 'what would you feel? Are you a twisted beast of nature now after all that time? or just a man-built ether-born abomination?'
  14. Him! Him! Him! I suck at genders on the web. Ask Cece. She had to deal with it too. Sorry Flare. Alright, well I've been busy all day, and I think it's about time I vote. Again, sorry Flare. Vote: Flare (Flare) I'm not convinced 100%, but I don't have any other ideas on who could be scum. I disagree with the Big Cam vote for now (I wouldn't be able to post a huge deal of info, or at least would be disinclined to, if I was forced to talk about poop all bloody day ) That's not to say he couldn't possibly be scum, I just don't think it's fair to judge him on that today. At least we've learned that there's a Witch. Hink, is Badboy really suffering from a curse, or was that just a joke. That could mean that the Witch can curse 2 individuals--or that there's a Witch and someone with a 1x witch-like action, or something. I wonder if it's a Town or Scum role. It seems Scummy because its effects suck, but it still could very well be a Town role. No doubt we'll see. I honestly don't understand the Tumpetking vote. What was that about again? He voiced a suspicion in private? I haven't seen anything else particularly scummy about his posts aside from the normal new-ish stuff that he demonstrated in Heartlake--and he seems to be much better this time around (although that could either be him improving or a scum-team helping him. I haven't analyzed it that much yet though.) JimB's accusation of DD makes some sense, but I still don't agree with most the points made, especially the "busy but checking in" comment. I do that too. Honestly, Flare's the only one that I don't disagree with. It's odd that the Mayor situation happened so fast, and his comments afterwords were bizarre. I didn't entirely expect that sort of talk from Flare, as his last performance of which I am aware was pretty good (he was Godfather in Jedi Temple Mafia.) was quite similar. It could be that he's only acting so out of touch because he's not grounded by a scum team, or it could be the reverse. I think we stand to gain the most from lynching him as it'll help put the mayor vote into perspective too. All-in-all, I'm not happy with this Lynch, but I have to vote, and I have no better choice. I'll change it if a compelling argument for someone appears. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  15. Thou nature art my goddess. To thy law my services are bound.

  16. There we go. I told you, TBW! Let's finish him! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  17. "Indeed." Stated Sylph grimly. "Men, make sure he's dead... but leave him conscious." Order (If everyone agrees) Punii: Make Jellies Sylph: Heal Alex, BR Sylph: Heal Alex, BR (unless first heal successful, in which case, TT, BR) Alex: TT, FR Johon: TT, FR Johon: TT, FR Slushy: TT, FR Elgar: TT, BR Lycan: TT, BR Galen: TT, BR
  18. "Do you suggest I revise our strategy? We could play it safe. We don't have to take almost any damage from him."
  19. I've only groan more powerful.

  20. OoC: You chewing hard food yet?
  21. Whatever you say. I personally think Sylph's groan too sadistic, and it was about time someone called him out for it. And when I say Curb Stomp, I mean like this: Spoilers for those who haven't finished Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  22. This is true. This has seriously been one of my favorite battles, despite the fact that Aquos hasn't been responding to my incendiary comments and feeding Sylph's sadism (which is probably a good thing, and Sylph may realize how cruel he was being.) The shuffling Mechanism was really cool, but I think we handled it pretty well. We cold play this defensively if you want, Lycan--Sylph just thinks we can turn this into a curb-stomp battle. If you disagree, Sylph'll listen to your concerns. It'll seriously be over in another two rounds though, unless we have the crappiest luck ever. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  23. Honestly, I'd be surprised if we don;t kill him this round or the next. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  24. Don't make me laugh. *Throws Tomato* ~Insectoid Aristocrat
