  1. Well Quest 62 is over now, so I guess I may as well do a little analysis. First off, I just want to say, that as a first time host, I had allot of fun Hosting and I will likely want to do it again sometime. Also, I want to appologise for any mistakes I made (and I think I'll put an Errata for the items I made at the last page for future use by hosts. Items like the Scroll of Newtity, the Net, and the crossbow add-ons might be potentially tricky, so I'll see if I can write up a small text that can be linked to to ameliorate any problems that might arise.) I suppose I'll organise my analysis by subject. A. Battles, B. NPCs, and C. PCs. Does that sound about right? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. And there you have it. Quest 62 is officially over. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. The Heroes found a pub, and Dill had Bart pay for their rooms and meals. The following day, they boarded a ship and returned to Heroica. The rain had drowned the fires, but the city's wounds would take longer to heal. QUEST SUCCESSFULL!!!
  4. I fullheartedly concur. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. Who's to say it's Fleur? You don't know for sure it's Fleur! But yes, now that Fleur's fate has been determined, I do have plans for a follow up Quest or two. And to be sure, 30,000 is enough to buy 3 ships apparantly. If anyone needs an ammoral business woman or mysterious financial backer who's unassociated to any of the houses, feel free to inquire... And also, she's not the type to wait for funds to run dry. She wants money. She wants status, and power. She wants everything this world's selling... 'Cause it's lonely at the top. Well there was that Haroka guy a while back.... And the Regret's male enough. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. Pleasure doing business with you.

    1. Kintobor

      Kintobor

No no, the pleasures all mine.

  7. (OoC: Just because I'm posting the Epilogue now doesn't mean you have to leave.) EPILOGUE: The next day, in a forboding warehouse near the docks in Eubric... Within, a well known Eubrician individual met with a shadowy cloaked figure.... "Zis iz unacceptable. Zis iz moins de un third of ze quantity you originaly offeured." "Yes, and I decreased the price accordingly. 30,000 is 3/4ths the price. The shipment was sabotaged by Hinckwell sellswords, and I need to pay repairs for the ship as well." "Ze price waz unreazonably 'igh to begin wiz! I expected enough cloth to lazt out zis dirty deal!" "It will last. Brendenton is in chaos. The powers-at-be who are content to cozy up to the Hinckwells may not be in-charge forever." "Zen zere'z double incentive pour moi to demand a lower price." "No. Should you refuse my offer, the Hinckwells will quickly absorb your influence in the cloth market. Change may be at hand, but it'll still be a long time until you can rely on Brendenton's merchants for your cloth. You need to act now, or sacrifice your presence in this lucrative market for the next five years at-least." "I will not be told what I can and cannot affourd to du by zome jeunne homme!" "Then perhaps the Miranda Trading Company will be more reasonable. You are, after all, not the only trading company with eyes on the cloth market..." "..." a look of frustration flashed across the Shadeaux Femme's face. "Ze Shadeaux famille doez not take kindly to intimidation. We will accept your offeur of 30,000 feur all of your cloth, but du not expect uz to concider you or your organization, what did you say it waz? Beyland Enterprizes?, favourably in futeur tranzactions." "...That is acceptable. It's been a pleasure doing business with you."
  8. OH, wait, did I say it was over? I've still got one more thing to post before y'all exit pursued by bears. Yes, it's that moment you've all been waiting for... Someone to say "Pleasure doing business with you." in a business themed quest. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  9. And the Luck. Everything has its place, and there's a place for everything. I still agree that I made the end battle very difficult (maybe even too difficult ), but I maintain it was winable. One of the Aquamancers even had a sealing scroll to deal with Fleur's evil special. I thought he was making sure that no one could have survived that was truly the case. I didn't expect my forshadowing element to come up like that either. Figures it'd be you to post it. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  10. No, that was auto applied. And only the luck occured, not the other thing. Since it's her item, I feel it would behave differently in the hands of someone else, making it less OP. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  11. The woman looked him over. "My word." She stated, "It would appear so. He was supposed to be executed today, but with all the chaos, he must have escaped. Tell you what, for yout heroism, I can offer you the bounty on his head. Here's 50 gold." She stated, handing the vampire a satchel of gold coins. Dreyrugr (Vash the Stampede) 1000 year old Male Vampire Rogue Level 16 Power: 22 (Level 16+Weapon 6) Defense: 0 Health: 27/27 (Rogue Base 7+ Level Bonus 15 +5 Raw Meat) Gold: 467 Equipment: Crow-Claw Dagger (WP: 6, 50/50 chance to stun enemy on successful attack), Psuedos Hood, Gloves of the Undead Assassin (For every enemy the wearer kills, it gains 5 HP, Usable by anyone, Handgear) Inventory: Venom x4, Bedroll, Remedy, Smelling Salts x3, Mead x2, Amethyst, Shuriken (WP:5), Net (if used in combat, 1/3 chance to slow enemy, 1/3 chance to be useless, 1/3 chance slow self, lasts 3 rounds, retrievable), Nostrum, Throwing Dagger (WP:3) Fauxthril Scythe (WP:5), Bone, Bow (WP: 4), Helmet (+1 HP), Impervious Shield (SP: 5) (Grants immunity to Fire), Aquamarine, Saphire, Scroll of Ice Armour, 20 gold worth of cloth
  12. I'm surprised no one asked what the locket did... That is all. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  13. (OoC: Yeah, but you guys are still in Brendenton until in-game tomorrow due to the storm.) Dreyrugr walked to the Court District with the body. In the chaos, no one seemed to pay much attention to a man carrying a burned corpse. He found a building he considered likely candidate for offering a bounty for the death of The Arsonist. Within the pillared structure he found an individual who appeared to be the "Secretary for the Head of the Guard."
  14. Exactly. I like realistic fights... Which is why Combat Pragmatist Fleur drank a Mead. I guess Constitution wasn't her dump stat either... Or she drank a mulled wine to celebrate her victory. Let's go with that. The Luck was something else though. (And Also, the sailors are specifically Sea Monster Hunters. They're only working Cargo because Fleur gave Quinton an offer he couldn't refuse (and he's the only captain who would sail in the storm).) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  15. Sylph fired his bow from the front row (unless Alex hid in the front, in which case, BR)
  16. OoC: Alone without making meeting-back-up plans?
  17. Wait, Endgame and I are not the same person! I already dropped the surpise not-quite-boss fight. (In hindsight, I probably should have buffed him to make it seem more dramatic. ) Thanks! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. "Hm. The Authorities you need are likely to be found in the Court District. As for that pale looking man... I'll concider it."
  19. OK 62ers! This is officially the end. As soon as everyone speaks up, I'll call it quits. It's been real! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  20. Fava Beans and a Fine Puppy Blood.

  21. "Hmph." the old man scoffed. He looked at his son and it seemed he appeared less angry, and more sad now. "Well... Thank you for what you did today. Not only did you manage to seemingly defeat my wife's machinations, but you saved my life, and for that, you've certainly earned your reward." Dill Hinckwell pulled up a sack he had on his person and handed each hero 150 gold. "Also, I will put in a good word for you with the Family." he stated smiling weakly. The Party! Otherwise I'll have Dill arrange for you to stay the night and leave town first thing the morning?"
  22. To be fair, Breaking the Cutie is delicious. It tastes like Loss of Innocence mixed with puppy blood. Although this particular case tastes a bit like Newt. (and also I like Crapsack worlds with imperfect characters) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  23. Because that's his major character flaw. (Fleur is much the same, but different in that she doesn't think she's better/worse-off than everyone else. She just hates everyone and wishes they were as miserable as she. She very well might admit someone's worse off, but she'd reply "I don't care.") ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  24. Mwahahahaha!!! This pleases me. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
