  1. But did he see them? I thought he was in the kitchen when they appeared... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. Come to think of it... How does he know "Dinosaurs?" ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. "Stay there a second Erik." Stated Sylph as he got out his scroll of sealing. "One can never be too sure. Enemies could be anywhere." Sylph Sealed Erik. "Oh, and, Black Knight, is that a scroll you have in your bag? I don't imagine you can use it... would you be willing to let me borrow it for the remainder of the trip?" OoC: I should have 4 Tonics...
  4. Damnit! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. This is a winner for me! I'd love to see Yesmar fight the 'overgrown newts' with the Heroes! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. "Did you find any other wounds, Nessa?" asked Sylph, standing up from the body and looking around the room for anything they might have missed.
  7. "Hmm. Nothing." mumbled Sylph. He tried to discern when the torch was last lit. He then inspected the body again, checking for posessions or the like. "Monk Pretzel, I think the Black Knight should get the mulled wine. He'll get the most milage from it. Also, when we fight, keep him in front of me, so that we get the most from his wounds."
  8. Sylph checked to see what the 'wooden' item near the corpse's arm was. After doing that, he searched under the covers for anything strange.
  9. "His name is Natnail. He's a mercenary. Says he's defeated a hero before. He's not 'on the job' right now, but he indicated he may be doing other things. I gave him a bottle of rum at the bar just now, masquarading as an amnesiac. THere's truly a surpising number of them, wouldn't you say" Sylph noticed the fabric. "Blue fabric. I think we may be looking for an acrobatic killer." Sylph went to inspect the toppled table.
  10. Fair enough. Overall utility has indeed improved... Especially considering that Demons and undeads are also pretty common after Humanoids. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  11. Also, Brickdoctor, I kind of like that it discourages the BK from retrgetting. They serve themselves. Whether they retarget or go after other plunder is on them. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  12. You ninja'd me. I just included that. Still, unless there's 15 SP... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  13. Well, previously it dealt Wx3 Dark Damage to All enemies, meaning (Wx3+P)x2 to humanoid (read: most common enemy type) or holy enemies. Assuming Sandy's generic example numbers, and an band of Humanoids, that's 90-SP damage to most, vs. 75 to one. Again, though, I'm just playing the devil's advocate. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  14. Oh, actually, another question. In cases where the loot is supposed to provide some sort of effect to the monster: IE: Catsuit to Kayla, would the stats change with the loss of said item? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  15. Oooh lala! Wonderful work Sandy! (and the name's a hoot!) While the Prick does fix the uniqueness a bit by allowing the BK to get the loot even if the battle fails (would have been helpful in Live or Let Die, no? ) I think the major fix is the Mortal Blow, which makes it both more powerful normally and less Overpowered in certain situations (such as the Arena... assuming, of course, said BK isn't blinder than a bat!) My one question is, is it possible that the shield is slightly less powerful now as a result of not effecting all enemies? I'll leave that to those who are more involved than I (unless I get bored and try to figure it out). ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  16. That's exactly what I wanted to hear! I'll leave that in your far-more-capable hands! Maybe a year or more from now I'd like to host a quest a little bit related to fairies. Not solely focused on fairies, but featuring a bit of that side of the world.... With your permission, of course. And I will consult you when the time comes, so have no fear. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  17. Yes. I forgot to mention, but having allot of light always makes bad photos better. almost without exception. (and I'm sure some of you serious photo-takers may disagree, but in my experience, Light makes Right!) If you want a dark photo, do that in the editting. My strategy is to have a white backdrop, and turn on any lights I can find and just drown the shot in light. That's understandable. In-fact, I had a creation with me at collegeland that I could have scrapped for parts, but similarly I couldn't bring myself to taking it apart. (that and I actually intended for it to be a permenent structure, unlike my other Lego.) If you really can't make the pieces, I'd suggest buying one of the expensivy LotR sets and using the pieces for the Quest. Interesting. I'm thinking that they'd have some sort of Unseen Court with Sylvania the Fairy as their Queen with four Lords or Princes (not necessarily male), one for each season, and then smaller subcourts or something. If anyone has put serious thought into this before, I'd be interested to share ideas. Edit: Someone needs to arrest Drake for hate crime. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. Iphones, to the best of my knowledge, take pretty great photos. Maybe not as high resolution as you could achieve with a good camera, but certainly better than other phone photos. As for limited building, the key is to reuse parts and to utilize photoshop or a combination of paint and powerpoint. Never build lasting sets, and take pics of the set without people so that if you need it later, you can photoshop people into it. (I made that mistake a few times in 62.) If you can, reuse sets but vary them a bit. move pieces of a wall around to make it a different wall/cover up parts with columns or 'wood.' This is particularly easy in 'urban' settings such as brendenton. If you don't have the pieces/minifigs you need, that's what Flickr and Photoshop are there for! you'll have more fun messing around in photoshop than messing around with LDD. I'm also interested in Fairies. I'm thinking of doing a Sylvania related Quest sometime in the distant future and wonder what fairy culture is like. Do they have some sort of Unseen Court?... If anyone has plans for this, I'd be interested in perhaps hosting a quest related to fairie culture/politics. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  19. For a second there I thought you were saying DLL is evil, and I was like... Yeah. But yeah, I personally dislike LDD, which is why I use real Lego pieces even when I only have 2 useful sets! It helps that my computor is slow, which means LDD takes ages to load on top of everything. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  20. I believe I have previously demonstrated my aptitude in the field or rap-battle, no? Regardless, it's on! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  21. "Capital idea." stated Sylph looking up from the wound. "It's a clean, deep cut. Probably slicing. Started at the Right, shallower at the left. I'd say dagger, but I could be wrong. We're looking for a blade though, or something similar. It's not the ax. I like your plan. I was thinking of loosing this hide. It's best in the hands of a heavy hitter. If you give me your robe, I'll give Erik my hood too. You might ask him for his current armour in its place. As a paladin, you'll be doing more hitting than healing. That's my specialty." chuckled Sylph softly. Sylph handed Erik his Hide and Hood, and accepted Pretzel's Robe of the Archmage. He slid it on, feeling the power of the robe. "Ah. This is quite suitable. I may have to aquire one. You seem well endowed in terms of equiptment yourself. Perhaps you can wear your tricorn hat to make-up for the loss of this robe?" Sylph equipped his goggles. Hearing the contents of the letters, Sylph grew contemplative. "Lovely. Politics. Well, this is interesting. It would appear that his last meeting was with the Hinckwells, so that may have something to do with his death... That may be a good place to start investigating... Let's see. I'm going to check the window. That seems to me the second best way to get into this room." Sylph walked over to the window and attempted to discern whether it could function as an entrance to the room.
  22. Any indication as to WP? Sylph noticed the Norse markings. "Was this your Mentor's ax?" He asked of Sofia. He returned to the neck wound and tried to determine if he could tell what weapon he knew of would likely have caused the wound. Did it appear sliced or hacked? Did it look like there'd been much of a struggle?
  23. Sylph then inspected the Ax that seemed to be cast onto the bed,
  24. "Huh." managed Sylph, puzzling over the scene. "So, that Ax looks like it could be the murder weapon. I suppose we should investigate that and the body. Also, it seems the window is open. Curious." Sylph walked over to the body and inspected it.
  25. The Insectoid Aristocrat once more.
