  1. "Looks like you got a beef with her." Noted Sylph in response to his glare. "What'd she do? Why's she hang around?"
  2. It's A joke, which is why it's OoC. If I actually thought that I'd have said, Sylph thought about the Mercenary's words. 'ain't heard nothing'... Perhaps he was trying to hide his intentions with messy grammer... But of course Sylph would not think that, because that would be hillariously insane. And Sylph is not hillariously insane. I was going to link to the Collegehumor "Grammer Nazis" skit on Youtube, but I decided not to. Which is not to say Natnail couldn't be lying... Everyone lies. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. "You mean the red skull headed guy? Yeah, I don't like the looks of 'im either. What about the orange... lady? is she a lodger?" Sylph asked, then lowered his voice so that the Bard couldn't hear "...and is that bard a regular? I'm no fan of bag-pipes." Sylph chuckled. OoC: Double Negative. So he has heard something about Blue Assassins...
  4. If we fight the Necromancer, he's bound to be Dark or summon Demons/undeads, so, to that effect, I think that we should pass a few weapons around before then. Dreyrugr should get Erik's unused Lightning Sword (as much as it pains me to see my Crow-Claw dagger unused. ) and Nessa should get my Merry Bow (Again with the pain.) and Dreyrugr's Pseudos Hood. The rest of us can Damage Undeads, Darks and Demons, with Pretzel being the best at it. Make sure someone tells me that we're fighting a Necromancer IC so that I can relay this info... Unless someone wants to take over the strategy angle, in which case they could suggest it IC.
  5. Derp! I can't believe I didn't realize that! Looks like those street thugs have better puzzle-solving skills than I. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. Sylph leaned back, looking around, subtly checking to see what the others were doing. Most of them were in conversation at this point. Good. If only someone would talk to the bartender now... And where was that hooded woman?... "So, 'notice anything strange going on in this inn? I just got in, but I heard some strange whispers when I was checking out my room... Whispers about... Blue Assassins in this inn... That red-garbed babe and someone else were talking about it. Pretty wierd. 'You hear anything about that, or see anything?" OoC: This seems promising...
  7. LEEGGGOOOONAAAATOOOORRRRR!!!!! Also, was there another way to solve that puzzle? 'Cause I got 2, 4 (I think, I actually forget what I got, but it wasn't the one shown as correct.) Edit: Also, love what's happening there too. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  8. Sylph returned to the bar and sat down in his previous seat. "'You renting a room here?" he asked Natnail. "They're not too bad." he said, sounding mildly impressed. "Beats the appartments in the hovels where I had to stay after I lost my memories..." Sylph talked at him slowly while the man swilled his bevarages. "But then I came across an old friend of mine who reminded me of my previous employ... He had a bounty on his head." Stated Sylph, chuckling, seemingly pleased with himself. "We all gotta do what we gotta do to get by. Amiright? If only them jobs were more easy to come by... Who's your top employer? Who's the most reliable power when it comes to hiring mercenaries?" OoC: She knows, man! She went to go tell her employer that the Heroes are here... But it'll turn out that she was behind it the whole time. Never trust a mysterious cloaked figure.
  9. Never trust a man with a goatee. Especially a woman. Kill ALL of them. No sorting necessary. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  10. We should probably kill them all just to be sure. And you thought orcs had it bad in terms of prejudice... At least orcs are humanoid. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  11. Well there goes the neighborhood. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  12. "I'm going down. Act like I'm not related to you." Stated Sylph as he moved towards the door. He turned back to the crew. "Looks like..." Started Sylph, temporarily unequipping his glasses, "... We've got an ax to grind." He walked out of the room and down to the bar so that he could maintain the impression he was not related to the Heroes. Yeeeeaaaaahhhh!!!!
  13. Thanks, I've got a list going now, that I'll update whenever I see a new company. List: -Company (headed by ___) (First Quest, Other Quests) -Hinckwells (headed by Heinrich Hinckwell) (Quest 3+) -Shadeaux (headed by Noctus Shadeaux) (Quest 3+) -Miranda Trading Company (headed by ___) (Quest ???) -Tritech Company (headed by Vincent Legonardo) (Quest 15, 25, 34, 42, 51, 58) -Operire (Front for Bonepartes) (headed by ???) (Quest 51) -Rihts (headed by Mr. Rihts) (Quest ???, Quest 48) -Sullivan's Fishing and Shipping (headed by ??? (Formerly Sullivan)) (Quest 60) -Rorik's Company (???) (headed by Sofia (???) (Formerly Rorik)) (Quest 69) -Swisshopper's business (???) (headed by Swisshopper) (Quest 28) -Beyland Enterprises (headed by Abe Beyland (Fleur)) (Quest 62) -Yet unfeatured small food-selling company based in a farmers village near Duplova (headed by Mr. Utani) (not yet introduced, but existant) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  14. No, but Zepher's Quest is a Macbeth reference. It was a comment on the current status of Shakespeare references in general more than one related solely to your reference. "That's not a bad idea." Stated Sylph. "Are we done here, mates?" Sylph asked of the Party. "Have we checked everything?"
  15. Right! What's its current status, by the way? I guess I should also include the "Rihts's" Cloth and Clothing company. I think we should have a list somewhere of existing companies and maybe also named ships and Captains... (that might be more work. There's allot more ships than companies.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  16. "You may be right. I hadn't thought about it like that before. I figured that his deal with the Shadeaux had concluded with neither interested in the other, but perhaps the Shadeaux were not overly pleased to see him turn to their greatest rivals in their stead...." Stated Sylph contempatively.
  17. Interesting Question: What companies are there aside from "the Shadeaux" and "the Hinckwells"? I know there's the "Miranda Trading Company". Fleur's fledgling company is called "Beyland Enterprises" (not EVIL Inc.). I imagine Roric's Company has a name... and I was thinking of introducing another small company based in a village near Duplova in a later Quest run by a man named Utani... Are there any other named/unnamed Companies floating around in the world? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. "Yes, that seems to be the case." "A life for a life." Stated Sylph. "That is acceptable." Sylph looked back at the party, then back at Sofie. "The patrons we met in the bar downstairs... They're the only ones who knew he was here?" OoC: first Macbeth, now Hamlet?
  19. "I got the impression he didn't like them either, the way he wrote about them. It seemed his first choice was working with the Shadeaux in order to gain new trade outlets, but they wouldn't pay him enough, so he switched over to the Hinckwells. He spoke of some "Mad grab for power..." do you know anything of this? He could have just been writing figuratively though. Perhaps he knew something about the Shadeaux that they didn't want the Hinckwells to find out? That may explain why such an organization as the Blue Assassins would want him dead." Stated Sylph. "Also, tell me about his first time in Eubric. I know you're not used to here, but he seemed to have been here before. Does he have any old contacts or rivals here?" OoC: I thought that might have meant the Blue assassins, but my character doesn't know enough about them to jump to that conclusion... Also, I forgot when I was writing my reply.

  21. "Wonderful," Stated Sylph recieving the scroll after he finished putting the robe on. He looked the scroll over, reciting the words in a whispered tone, attempting to develop some familiarity with the thing. "I haven't seen a scroll like this in a very long time... I may want to relieve you of it permenently once I acquire more currency. I can't imagine you'll be using it unless you start to study the arcane arts... and due to its unique nature, you won't want to (or be able to, I think) bind it to your own armour... This will be good to cast before battles start... Maybe not every battle, but certainly it should be cast before our confrontation with the murderer. From what we've surmised, he or she is quite capable." Sylph stated blankly. "Yes, infact we have." Stated Sylph, looking up from his new scroll. "Dark-blue fabric in the window. A slicing wound and brocken ribs on the body. Topled table and chest: signs of struggle... And we're looking for someone with acrobatic skill, it seems. A letter we found may indicate that the Hinckwells--or someone masquarading as Hinckwell--may be behind this." he finished. "Any thoughts?"
  22. Charge! For the plot!!! If he's so keen on Dino meat.... I know of a certain Island that's just brimming with them... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
