Well, with their new update, Black Knights have a good function. For instance, imagine how different the fight with Fleur would have been if Dreyrugr had already been a Black Knight. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"I agree with your plan apart from one thing. Jules, cast a Water spell at George. Don't heal Dreyrugr yet." OoC: Screw you! Not all of us have perma-lucky items! -
Ha! If only they actually could turn the PCs into Newts. I love it when randomness appears anything-but-random! For instance, CMP's dice are all 5-faced. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

The link doesn't seem to be working for me. I think there are more grumpy minifig faces nowadays than before. (they only really started making grumpy heads around the time of "Adventures" and "Aquanauts." I personally think the issue is just about fig diversity over everything else. The Lego company has really been upping the level of diversity recently, what with unpleased faces, faces with different facial hair, and even aliens and whatnot. I like having a diverse cast of faces to use for my minifigures, and having grumpy faces is a great boon in that regards. They've also really instituted the dual-face, allowing figures to have either a happy or sad face. (My opinion on the dual faces is not-offended, but I don't really love them.) So, yes, more grumpy figures, and I like it. They're useful for MOCs. Also, I'm not sure this is the correct part of the forum to discuss this... maybe it'd fit better in the Lego General Discussion part. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I can think of one... Remember this guy?... Even though the fig's rather weak, I may have to get one for the sake of continuing the above idea. Welder guy is awesome! I'm quite impressed with that fig. (Even though I have an inordinate amount of mini-figures with overalls) The female scientist is spectacular! Not only am I glad we're getting another female figure (and a smart female role-model figure too boot) but two new flasks! The Yeti is adorable, and once I get it, I'll finally have a Popsicle piece! That evil robot with its Blacktron symbol is wonderful! I may army build them like I did the Black Knight (5!) ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Quel domage. Ah well, I'll see what I can do! Now I know how the 62ers felt. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"Paladins are more useful than clerics." stated Sylph. "In the long run, this round was not a total loss. Morgan is subdued. Your plan is acceptable." Sylph stated, attempting to summoning the roots of life. -
How would Enamoured effect Drake's special? ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Yes. And those weird semi-sequels that no one seems to talk about ever. Spiders and ewoks and yeah... ~Insectoid Aristocrat

I didn't think there was either, but Sandy, Zepher, CMP, and Legonator seem to beg to differ. I want to get a feel for how I should treat the Kingdoms before I flesh out Sundestia, which will be the first actually fleshed out Lower Kingdom, it seems. I guess I want to know what I should draw on for inspiration so that I can at-least somewhat meet expectations. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Check 48: Overkill Gloves: "Handwear, wearable by everybody. Gives the wearer 1 gold for every point of damage they do extra when they defeat an enemy. (Example: Enemy has 50 HP left, you do 75 damage, you earn 25 gold.) Costs 700 gold. One of our best sellers for people who brawl for a living! Some people just buy them for the snazzy black color, though..." Well, unlike Star Trek, I have watched all the Star Wars films, even those some may consider to be... unnatural. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Since we were talking about it, what type of architecture, terrain and political structure does one associate with the Low Kingdoms? I didn't ask about this when I made Brendenton (mostly because I needed it to be a certain way for the plot, but also because I was unaware that there was a preconceived idea of what the Low Kingdoms looked/functioned like even though they hadn't been shown yet.), but this Quest I'm working on not only features Sundestia's Capital City, but also another city that may or may not even be in Sundestia (but would still be a Low Kingdom City.) In order to ensure that I get things right when making them, does anyone have picture or ideas about how the Low Kingdoms look/what their politics generally are? Brendenton is an outlier, I imagine, because of the very powerful hold that the Church of Ennoc holds over it, as well as its status as the largest port in Sundestia, which makes it almost a City-State. Furthermore, there is definitely a large quantity of Sheep Herding around Brendenton, contributing to its status as producers of cloth. (The rest of Sundestia'll be more foresty, I think) Other than Brendenton though, the rest of Sundestia is less set-in-stone, so suggestions while I'm working on the sets would be greatly appreciated. Amusingly enough, this Quest revolves around opening a road... Just not one at the isthmus. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Heroica RPG - Quest #69: The Hook on the Other Hand

"I like your thinking, Erik." "To be fair, I couldn't care less." Stated Sylph coldly as he attempted to seal Morgan. "Monk, good work calling that Angel, now see if you can fragile that goon in the hat. You may be taking a free hit though. Zasies... Keep doing what you're doing... you're much more useful on our side than against us. Erik, would you prefer to target the man with the hat? I can bear Colby's blow. Dreyrugr, I'd heal you now, but since you're a Black Knight, I suggest you use your anger to strike the hatted man down. He's essentially defenseless." >Pretzel: Drake (Heavy Flail) >Sylph: Seal Morgan >Nessa: Henry Erik: Drake (Twin Axe) >Jules: Drake (Water Spell) Dreyrugr: Drake Zasies: George Illdria: Drake (or Colby, if Drake dies) -
I was thinking the same thing. In the beginning I was hitting myself for not handing Jules my Blind scroll, and now I'm hitting myself for not putting Zasies higher up in the order. Grrrrr! We could be done with Drake! Ah well, let's see if I can't figure this out. For all the trouble a Brezerker can cause to strategy, I'm really digging the class. I just wish I'd put her on Henry or Morgan. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"Valid points. I'll Seal Morgan then." -
Oh, that's how you got the title. I'm afraid my spelling is quite atrocious when I'm away from my spell check. I come off as significantly less bombastic as a result when I'm bereft of that holy device. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"As far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter which of the two of them we Seal, just that they become Sealed so that those of us with powerful artifacts can target them." OoC: She functions like a ranger: Deals full damage, takes half from non ranged attacks. -

Well, this is a world where death's cheap when it needs to be. I don't see why Karie meeting Patricia ultimately results in her death. Patricia may be lvl 50 with HP up the wazoo, she may have the other PCs in the area restrain her, she may just say, "I don't have time for this' and walk away. Exactly. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
