  1. Wow, I'll be honest, I didn't expect such a nice "Analysis for a person who droped off the face of the earth mid-quest. Sooooo Sorry about that. I can't quite say I'm "Back" (because every time I do it seems my life gets more stressful) but I can say I won't sign up for another Quest until I can better manage my time. On Sylph: Yes, he was bored with your NPCs, but I was not. I love your NPCs! They're all super well written and realistic (or silly). Sylph doesn't care about people much at all, so unless he can see a way for a situation to benefit him and his agenda, he won't care much about them. I'm glad you liked playing with me, but I'm sorry about my participation. It was really not cool of me, and I'm really sorry. Pretzel: I thought you and Sylph wouldn't get along as well, but I guess I was wrong. You and he ended up agreeing on more things than not, which I thought was kind of funny considering how dark a character Sylph is, compared to how "good" a character Pretzel thinks he is. It just goes to show that Clerics are Clerics, no matter which deity they worship. In the beginning Sylph was frustrated with Pretzel's leadership, but as the quest went on and grew increasingly different from his prior quest which involved battling evil forces beyond man's power, he grew increasingly less interested, culminating in his letting Pretzel lead entirely during the last two fights. (Although, to be fair, some of that "characterization" had to do with my own life as well.) Dreyrugr: I love Dreyrugr, and I'm glad I got to play with you on the other side of the QM screen. He was an excellent voice of reason throughout the quest, especially when the maniacally "Good" Party Leader laid down the hate. Nessa: I also love Nessa. Her bi-polar behavior was a source of much of the interesting party dynamic in the beginning, and throughout the quest. I'm interested to see how she progresses. Erik: Erik's an all around good guy, and Sylph ended up not hating him. This is the first time I've played with him, and I think he's got an interesting character. As a Barbarian, he's very unique, and i'd love to play with him again. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. Does anyone Know Where Shoker86 is? I know my Quest's been slow so far, for which I'm mostly to blame, but he hasn't been on for a few weeks... Also, Sorry CMP for my terrible attendance towards the end of your quest. It was unacceptable and I'm really sorry. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. Finally got around to investigating non-Trading Routes threads. Yes... I'm sure they'd be... Friends... I could use another ally in my quest to.... Well, I could use an ally... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  4. Alex was sweating. He was the only Party Member man enough to give the directions, but it was a heavy burden, and under the stress, he made a wrong move. He ordered EW, and the EWE the Party towed along took a bite from the grass... and died. The Party now had 13 Sheep, but they'd found another track of poisoned land. A tear formed in the Shepherd's eyes. The businessmen looked sheepish. Another sheep joined the efforts. Hopefully it wouldn't meet the same fate as the last two.
  5. The Shepherd and the party, worried that their progress was about to be undone, moved back to the first "square" and attempted to move horizontally. The sheep munched on the foliage, and began to sway, as if drunk. The sheep made some strange noises as its mouth began to foam, and in under a minute, the sheep was dead. The Party had found a patch of poisoned land. The Party now had 14 sheep. "My poor baby." Sobbed the shepherd, cradling the dead sheep. The two businessmen, Dice and Jasper, shared a worried look. Yoro looked at the shepherd with begrudging sympathy.
  6. (I'm not sure I was clear, but the number takes into account diagonals. Also, you have access to all the squares in row H, in addition to the squares you're directly adjacent to. You may move diagonally as well. Also, as an OoC remark to help you, there are exactly 15 flowers.) The Shepherd and the party moved to the next "square" with one sheep in tow. The sheep bent down to eat some grass and bleated three times. It then returned to eating. "We've got to be careful. It sounds like we're surrounded." stated the shepherd.
  7. (Sorry. I forgot to number the boxes. It's like Minesweeper if you've ever played it. You use the sheep as your mine sweeps, and if you land on a flower, you lose a sheep. The number of bleats heard in a square indicates the number of flowers that the box is in direct contact with. You've heard one bleat thusfar.)
  8. (OoC: I know. You've been extremely active. I'm sorry this game has been so slow. Once this is finished, I'll probably take a break from hosting until I can devote my full time to it.) Alex checked the Cow's corpse, but was surprised to find no claw marks. While the corpse was quite decayed, he could make out traces of bloody foam on the mouth. It looked as if the cow died of poison. Relaying this information to the shepherd, her eyes opened wide. "I know what this is!" She exclaimed, a trace of fear on her face. "This is the work of Sheepsbane, an invasive weed from Xu. It's deadly toxic to livestock, but serves as a crucial ingredient in remedies. From what I've heard, it's got an orange flower, and a widespread root structure. That means this road could potentially be a minefield of Sheepsbane!" she stated, looking perplexed. "But fortunately, Sheep are known to bleat once when they smell the stuff... unfortunately it doesn't stop them from eating it. We have to get across this field to the forest. Does anyone have any ideas?"
  9. "Fine." Stated Sylph, quietly, returning the scroll to its owner. "It is nice though. I'd buy it if you're selling it."
  10. Yes, but I was/am waiting for everyone to post, since what follows is a "minigame" that requires a little participation to make it feasable. If everyuone only types once a week, then the minigame will last multiple weeks. I have been busy, but I like to have everyone comment before I move on. Where's Shoker? Is he on vacation? Also, I was hoping someone would investigate the corpse a bit more...
  11. OoC: No one else has anything to say? I had hoped that that would get a few more posts than it received... Maybe you're all just as busy/busier than I? The shepherd investigated the body as Alex gave orders. "I don't see any bite marks..." She commented.
  12. Sylph attacked the Acolyte.
  13. Sylph chugged his Tonic. (Sorry I haven't been much help. I'm very stressed out with all these big tests last week and next week. Ugh.)
  14. "Fine." Grumbled the irritated man. The Party walked in silence for nearly the remainder of the day, before they came across a strange sight: a cow, dead in the grass. It was rotting and looked a day or two old. Buzzards had picked it clean for the most part. Aside from the dead cow, all the party could see for miles was grassland, broken only by the occasional wildflowers. Near the cow there were several orange ones. As the Shepherd approached, her sheep slowly grazing their way forward, she gasped at the sight of the dead cow. Suddenly, one of her sheep bleated once. She looked at it, confused, and ordered her dog to round the sheep up.
  15. The party decided to bypass the confrontation with the black guard. Dice breathed a sigh of relief. "I think you might have saved us the money we're paying you already." Stated Dice, happily. "Not likely." grumbled Jasper. "Heroes? Don't you think intimidating the blackguard might have some repercussions for the return trip? I don't want my reputation being damaged." the man stated.
  16. Sorry guys. Sooooooo many tests. "I suggest you heal my Druid, please." Chirped a small voice in Nessa's ear. She turned around to see a small bat fluttering politely. "Your words are wise." Spoke the Druid upon getting up. I'll blind the Acolyte A.
  17. The Blackguards stand down. "Impressive resume." stated the first, clapping slowly. "Well, boys, what do you say? Should we let these 'Heroes' go? I wonder what the General will say when he hears this?" The first one added, slyly, tossing an aggressive glare at the party. "Well, if you really want to go on your way, then I suppose the three of us can't do anything to stop you, mighty 'sewer escort.'" The man stated. What would the party do?
  18. "They reward us and then try to kill us? Ridiculous. I see why know one's heard of you... and it's not because you're inconspicuous in your red cloaks. Alright men, let's take 'em." Stated Sylph as he slid his new bolas out and swung it at the Disciple.
  19. "We said. The Road North is off-limits." Stated the first Blackguard threateningly. "The Tax depends on what you've got in the cart. Let us see the cart, or we'll make you pay..." Ordered the third. Tension hung in the air. Would the party pay-up, or would the blackguard? Ie: stated whether you let them search the cart or is you attack.
  20. Sylph returned the robe and cloak. "Distribute the loot as you please, Monk Pretzel." Stated Sylph.
  21. "Neither heads nor tails. It's obvious that something fishy is going on though. She's either behind this, or we have yet to get to the bottom of this investigation. This doesn't sound like her at all." The druid stated, scanning the letter. "I think it's important that we check the trunk though. Dreyrugr, why don't you check to see if there're any traps."
  22. The absence is alright, I just wanted to make sure everyone was alright, and stuff. I got a little worried when Cap'n was the only one to post for 4 days. No harm no foul. "You do, do you?" grunted the third. "Is there something special about your merchandise that makes you think you can successfully evade the wolves then?" He interrogated. "Hmmm..." wondered the second. "Your Armour is nice... but we can't let you go without our fee." "It wouldn't be good business." Interjected the first. "If you give us your suit of armour, we won't have to tax your wares." Grinned the second.
  23. Is the rest of the Party on Vacation? Is it still Finals week? Where is everyone?
