Nice! Which sets did you get?
-
Like I've said previously. It depends what you're looking for? If you're looking for a great small mech the Rocka 44019 is the best looking one overall, the Furno 44018 machine shows great use of the bones and has a very unique and cool looking build. The stormer 44017 is quite lacking in both innovation and accessory department and is a rather jumble of different things. If you're interested in just mocing with the new parts the smallest set evo walker gives you both a minifig and cockpit pieces for you to use, though the set itself looks absolutely dreadful and has stability issues. For beast, all the beasts have the exact same head mold and the only new notable pieces are some spike/tail things and new feat, making the best portion of this really just dependent on the pieces you already have. If you're looking to just get your fair share out of this wave then I'd do what I did and go with Furno or Rocka machine with either one of the three beasts, it gives you a nice amount of different new accessories and pieces to play around with. The big Evo machine 44022 is really just an overpriced mech, most of the pieces are just an assortment of usual HF pieces and technic and doesnt really give you much overall. No worries either way It was indeed, though I found myself laughing rather audibly at times, it was amusingly hysterical and nice to see you people back on track with the podcast, it really had been too long Though I think I'd have to visit some of the chats here and there and get more of his side as to why he doesn't use google, why on earth would someone burden themselves to such a thing? It got me rather curious. And don't get me started on the "high" thing.

All the sets have now hit the stores in scandinavia, I really have picked up all that i need but i might get either furno or stormer as I quite like the cockpit windshield for mocs. Also, Meso, while I noticed you forgot to bring up the topic I don't really think it would've fit in too well with the chaotic nature of the latest TTV podcast :L
-
Then I could say I've finally contributed to the TTV podcast and I can die a happy man.
-
Maybe bring it up in an episode or something debating what'd be the most probable outcome, that is if it hasn't been brought up yet.
-
Wouldn't it be easier to get the queen set somewhere in this? This was more of just a question that randomly came to mind, but I might consider trying to get a hold of the lineup, for collectors value i guess. I'm still curious as to what the fate of HF is next year, its three outcomes really. Either they'll stick to minifigs, stick to big figures or the theme will be replaced altogether. Tension is killing me.

What is the easiest way to get a hold of the whole gang, as in all the minifigures? Both waves.

Thank you if you're still here! Thanks! This Moc is probably one of my oldest mocs that are still assembled, it's still standing up on my shelf albeit very dusty. Which is quite unusual as I tend to get a bit lazy when it comes to finding pieces and such that I just take apart previous mocs that are in the vicinity. It's definitely one of my favorite figures, I somewhat consider it my self-moc or whatever you might call it, I remember making it during the period i was obsessed with tan for some reason. But my god is the whole back-story cringe-worthy, not one of my finest work of literature ;_;

How/when would you want Bionicle to return?
exxtrooper replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Next year, reboot with the new system, try to bring back the whole original/tribal type feel that felt a lot more original than Hero Factory will ever be. Bring back the same feeling of this poster: That's my 2 cents at least, havent read any other replies or gone too much in-depth. -
^The 2014 HF sets are also set for March release in Nordic countries, which is weird considering how near we are Denmark. Does anyone know when we can expect photo coverage of the Toy fair today?
-
Usually august for nordic countries, can't speak for other countries.

I see those Star Wars blasters are starting to show up everywhere. The surge machine looks so dank. Totally getting crystal beast as well.

An old moc made back in 2012 that was originally going to piloting a bigger type of machine but I never got around to make it so, figured I might as well post it either way. The model has a handle on the back with a little trigger that allows you to shoot the flick missiles in a quick fashion. It uses the same frame as Shellshock.

Aren't we allowed to post them here? Feel free to take them down if this is prohibited.
-
Weren't taking pictures prohibited this time around?

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys I really appreciate it! Thank you! The whole build got really bland with only black and bright green, glad you liked it! Thanks guys I take great pride in my photography! That really means a quite a lot. I'd agree it doesn't fit her character that well, but too be honest that wasn't my main focus while making this, I really just wanted a green mech and Breez is the only green character. Something along those lines yes! Took a lot of inspiration from both pacific rim and Exo-Force. Glad you liked the flamethrower, it still kinda looks like a black stick but I really didn't want to overcomplicate it too much. I guess we'll accept this as the backstory of this mech. Thanks! Liked how the torso came out in the end. It was actually the plan to make flyer beast into a bigger yellow monster but I turned down the concept for now, maybe I'll revisit it in the future some time. Thank you very much! The bare legs on the cockpits was always something that bothered me, I think this simple solution does the job just about right. Thanks a lot! I ordered the sets from lego.com and got them quite early, the new parts are very fun to play with. Thanks Aanchir means a lot coming from the great lego fanatic of brickset, BZPower, Brickipedia and just about every big lego site on the web! I tried using the rounded shoulders at first but it didn't give that much of a bulky look, while I'm not too big of a fan of those 2.0 feet they work great as shoulder bulkiness! Thank you! Well then putting all this feedback together, the Mech is great and all, just if it weren't for breez

And here we are! Posting mocs on Eurobricks yet again, it has been way too long but that is about to change. Let's just say I didnt buy Rockas Mech for his minifig or Flyer Beast because of his wings. Very first build centered around the new Minifig scale, really wanted to make bigger Mech at first but in the end it just looks like a green Evo machine. I actually think building the smaller ones is a bit more satisfying. Though the only thing taken from the Evo build is the hip segment which I just had to use as it eliminates all the problems with previous titans and was just too neat to pass. The entire torso is a unique techinc build this time around with no use of torso pieces of any kind, actually kept it quite simple to avoid using too many pieces, I usually go overboard. In the end, I think it turned out decent, I'm not 100% satisfied with this but It's been just kind of laying around for a while so I might as well just get it out there. And Breez also deserved a proper mech.

The original Natalie Breez, the 1.0 version.

Review Of The Worst Bionicle Sets Of All Time
exxtrooper replied to Mephek's topic in LEGO Action Figures
They're all polybags, none of these are really valid then imo. Seen worse polybags in other themes, nothing new here. -
I'd say all the sets are pretty good in terms of mocing with new parts, it just depends what you're making. I bought Breez and Rocka to get a hold of Breez figure and green cockpit piece, which is also available in Evo XL but it's a bit expensive. In terms of the monsters just about any of the sets goes, as they all have the same head-mold. If you're looking to make mechs even the smalles one comes with Evo and cockpit.
-
Pacific Rim itself is also based on a wide-variety of old japanese films and anime.
-
Looking at these models, although not 100% accurate, and given a little bit of thought, the summer wave doesn't really bring any new parts apart from Queens wings and new minifigs. While this is an amazing year it's quite lacking in the new parts department, though I'm still quite fond of it. At first I was planning to just buy a couple from the first wave as the summer wave most likely brought in a lot cooler sets, but given the parts selection most of these can be built from the sets of the first wave. Which is good because I'm quite an impatient man. Though I'll still buy that double cockpit walker/glider type thing, simply because it just looks so damn cool.

I ordered them from Shop@home and got them in 3 days, 60NOK shipping. Really was expecting them in 2 weeks time but I think they were shipped from Denmark. Quite a nice feeling getting the sets before LegoJang did.

Hero Factory set shots by exxtrooper
exxtrooper replied to exxtrooper's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I took some pictures of last years wave of sets, but wanted to avoid creating an all new topic, here they are! -
So I think it's safe to say we won't be seeing clear images of the sets before toyfair (in new york?) unless some underdog takes blurry pictures of a catalogue?
