I'm not familiar with the reference material so I had to google it and found this: That is already a good start badboytje, getting the first floor door, roof, and entrance stairs correct. Next step would be to build the second floor windows with triangular roof, and then the larger body of the house with the unique tapering overall shape.

Very nice entry MB! Good use of those white curved slopes, especially in the circular rear engine exhaust. Best of luck!

And move this I shall.

Cad Bane's - The Thief of Fortune (speeder)
XimenaPaulina replied to Fatyankee's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Very interesting and well done speeder, especially the skeletal detail in front. I initially thought the white doesn't go well with the rest of the dark-colored body, but upon a second look it does highlight the skeleton part pretty well. Nice work and good luck with this entry! -
D2C Contest: Attack on the Nile
XimenaPaulina replied to Yatkuu's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Congratulations Yatkuu, truly a well-deserved victory! I'd love to see this as an official set as this entry really captured all the required elements of a standard LEGO set. Great job also to everybody who participated - all the entrants with their wonderful and very competitive entries, to the voters who voiced their opinion, and to the contest organizers for running a highly-successful competition. Special kudos also to Pixel Fox for the very realistic box art fitting the winning entry. -
Nice to see the boxart for the upcoming Naboo Starfighter set, thanks for sharing Navy Trooper Fenson! While the model itself is not really spectacular, the boxart is indeed very well done and one of the best I've seen in recent times.

Nicely done vig Roodaksta, small but gets the job done. I think you have a good grasp of the greebling techniques on the walls and the build of a unique base. I'd also love to see an expanded version of this vig, or a larger new one to showcase more of your building skills.

I also initially thought that that BURP is Megablocks, so it is really interesting to know that it is indeed a LEGO piece. It does work well for its intended purpose in this build.

Very well done build darth yogi! I really like the overall smooth finish of the surfaces, though I have to agree with the others that the part that needs improvement are the slanted plates in front with visible gas. Instead of the plate technique, why don't you use slanted bricks for that part?

Great to see you back with your wonderful customs Bobskink! Impressive paintwork on these - very cleanly done and even looks like standard printed elements.

Like 74louloute's wonderful build, this is an equally impressive creation lego-maniac! From the buildings to the street details, and even the classic car is a great MOC in itself, very impressively-done overall and it's really nice to see this collaborative effort from two master builders. Can't wait for a third part then.

Love the Guido one Oky! I could just imagine Guido, after downing Han, blowing the blasters nozzle and then saying in his deep proud voice reminiscent in the movie: "Pit Stop Gun Shot".

I'll add the LDD description in the title and just change it when this design is built in real bricks.

Hufflepuff Magus Frankfurt Flashburn versus Hufflepuff Magus Okay Turkoglu Round 3 Frankfurt Flashburn l 3 _______________________Okay Turkoglu l 2 Mid - 0________________________________________Mid - 0 High - 0_______________________________________Stupefy! - 1 Stupefy! - 1____________________________________High - 0 Expelliarmus! - 0________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Low - 0 _______________________________________Low - 0 Health: 2_____________________________________Health: 1 The two Hufflepuff Magus brace themselves in the final round to decide who's more worthy to regain Aurorship first. Trailing his good buddy by the slimmest of margins, Okay starts with a spell directed towards Frankfurt's body, but his fellow Hufflepuff counters with a similar spell. Okay then catches his opponent off-guard in the next sequence with a stunning Stupefy, evening up the score. But Frankfurt quickly retaliates with his own Stupefy to tip the advantage towards him once more. Both duelists try to disarm each other but their Expelliarmus' cancel each other out. Okay fires off one last desperate attempt to force sudden death with a low-sweeping spell, but Frankfurt reads his co-Magus move and simply blocks it with the same low attack. The Battle of the Hufflepuff Magus ends with Frankfurt narrowly escaping his good friend Okay to climb back to being an Auror. Winner: Frankfurt Flashburn! Congratulations Cornelius! Frankfurt is once again an Auror, enjoy your new spell (or pet). Oky, you'll probablly reach the same goal on your next match. You may now update your character profiles accordingly. -
Mod note: Pls. refrain from doing these types of posts, this is not a chat room but a forum discussion so try to provide something significant to the topic. Okay, move along people.

Nice purist custom Doc, for some reason it reminds me of the Jason and the Argonauts movie, obviously because of the Spartan-Skeleton combo.

I like the funny and clever idea behind this unique entry! Plus points for 'thinking out of the box' and executing well in brickbuild.

Jango Fett's Prowler hybrid shuttle
XimenaPaulina replied to soundwave_sw's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Nice entry, it reminds me of a sort of a Slave I-Star Command ship crossover because of the Toy Story-ish colors. -
Even if it's not the best-looking new minifigure around, I'm still happy that TLG finally made a Ki-Adi fig. Of course there will be the expected "anti-CW-look-" bashing/sentiments, which maybe rightfully deserved, and I personally think that the separate head and headpiece set-up is a bad idea for Ki-Adi (and Maul and Oppress for that matter) because of the visible gap which has not been an issue with other figs of this same head-headpiece combo (Ahsoka, Aayla, Shaak, Saesee). I've said this before that I would rather have Ki-Adi get a rubbery head like Fisto and Plo as it will eliminate that ugly gap and at the same time make for an accurate look. But it seems TLG has gone away from this practice and we'll just have to live with these types of minifigs from now on.

You mean the frontpage? The staff has guidelines regarding frontpaging and we normally highlight only the first reviews of new sets or those that are of significant high quality so I suggest you don't think much about it and just continue contributing positively to the forum, ok?

Interesting report indeed, I've read about this before and it's really nice to see these LSW polybags finding its way to the Japanese gumball machines. Living in a place where LEGO is extremely expensive, I'd love to have the chance to acquire these through this means but sadly, our local gumball machines don't offer these (only Pokemon, Ben 10, and other Japanese stuff). The price of US$5 is much lower than BL's average prices, and it's much more readily accessible than waiting for your online purchase in the mail, so it's a welcome development for me if ever it finds its way here in our place.

Yep, and just a friendly reminder to everybody: Before posting, pls. actually double-think if your post will really contribute something significant to the topic and not just a simple reply to an off-topic comment. Are we clear about this? Good. Let's move on my friends.

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Hufflepuff Magus Frankfurt Flashburn versus Hufflepuff Magus Okay Turkoglu Round 2 Frankfurt Flashburn l 4 _______________________Okay Turkoglu l 3 Stupefy! - 0___________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Low - 0______________________________________High - 1 Mid - 0_______________________________________Mid - 0 Expelliarmus! - 0_______________________________Stupefy! - 0 High - 1 ______________________________________Low - 0 Health: 3_____________________________________Health: 2 Hufflepuff Magus Okay Turkoglu looks to bounce back in this duel by aggressively jump-starting the second round with a lightning-quick combo of an Expelliarmus that disarms Frankfurt and a high spell that hits him in the head. With his opponent disoriented, Okay follows-up with a body shot that gets countered by a similar spell by his fellow Hufflepuff. It's then Frankfurt's turn to disarm Okay in the next sequence, and with his co-Magus unarmed, he easily hits him with a dizzying head spell, retaining his hairline advantage going to the decisive round. Frankfurt holds on to his precarious lead, but it's still anybody's game in the third round. You may now send your Round 3 DS. -
Hmm, lemme see: Senator Farr is on an 'official' meeting with Nute Gunray, then he realizes "It's a Trap!" when suddenly Mandalorians arrive and held him hostage. Then comes Republic Forces to the rescue, led by Gen. Windu, Kenobi, and Fisto but gets stalled by a bunch of BDs and a single Geonosian on a downed CIS shuttle. Did I get that right?

Not the first, but the quality of the review is definitely impressive and makes it a real pleasure to read from start to finish. Thanks for finishing this up and sharing this with us Pandora! Seeing your take on this makes me wanna re-evaluate my view on this set, it's not as bad as I initially thought, it's still a pretty good addition to any coastal-based town layout.
