  1. Welcome to Eurobricks Caio! We're glad to have you here, I hope you enjoy the forums here. See ya!
  2. Very well captured shot, even with minimal lighting. I simply love the reddish surroundings effect. Good job and good luck in the contest!
  3. Now that's impressive, and a show-off of your massive SW minifig collection Mos_Eisley! Seriously, I like the concept, and great job on positioning all those figs and effectively taking this bird's eye-view shot. Good luck in the contest!
  4. I choose Public Transport. It's the most complete among all the CITY sets released this year, with a new bus design, first lego tram, a decent bus and tram station and a pretty good collection of civilian figs. It was really deserving of its Voter's Choice title.
  5. Thanks for giving us 5 votes, makes it easier to vote among all these wonderful entries. Here are my choices: Winter Church by ACPin - 1 point Orphanage by Bricknave - 1 point The Dangers of Ice Skating by jansued - 1 point The Tower by Nieks - 1 point Greenhouse by Kazeneko - 1 point Good luck to the participants!
  6. These are great decals NickAb! I really like how finely detailed these are especially the ones with the stitches. Good job!
  7. Thanks for sharing this interesting interview Cygnet! It was nice reading through the whole article and learning how one of the most notable customizers around, eclipseGRAFX, started in this field and hearing his in-depth views of the current state of customization. It's quite inspiring for someone relatively new to the field like me, knowing how he started late and literally from nothing, and with creativity, artistic talent, and dedication one can really succeed in the customization world.
  8. Actually, you are half-right about that. The Geonosians did ride these Flitknot speeders (actual name) in Landing at Point Rain. But I believe the appearance of this speeder, tactical droid, and the STAPs are based on this scene from the Blue Shadow Virus episode in Season 1. (but the actual tactical droid model, TX-20, was based on Innocents of Ryloth while Mace's JSF was from the R2 Come Home episode.)
  9. Pretty neat concept, and even better execution in brickform! Very nice job on this one rougeang! I really like the funny and witty Star Wars version of 12 Days of Christmas. While this is a very well-built entry with a strong idea behind it, I feel it falls short on the main criteria of the contest - the photography part. I don't exactly know how you'll do it, but it would certainly help your entry if you could get a better quality shot and if possible, a closer view of all these nicely-built individual vigs together. Well, I wish you the best in the contest!
  10. Excellent review, thanks for sharing SilentMode! After getting initially excited about this set, my interest has gone down after having a closer look in this review. While it offers some interesting new pieces, it's a bit disappointing getting only 3 facial expressions for 22 minifigs. For it's steep price, I'd rather spend the $40 bucks on collecting the Series 3 Minifigs first. Maybe when I have some extra budget I may get this set, but for now it's not on the top of my must-buy list.
  11. Like what I said in the other topic regarding these upcoming glued magnets, theoretically, these new magnet sets can be 'unglued'. Without knowing the exact adhesive/glue that TLG will be using, there is always a solvent that can dissolve away the a certain adhesive. But the more important question is, will these adhesive-remover chemicals/solvents have a damaging effect on the minifig? (decoloration, print removal, deterioration of the ABS plastic). These are the things that need to be tested and verified. When I grab some of these glued magnets, I'll try to do some trials in the lab.
  12. These are all great outdoor shots Inky! These are simply perfect for the always adventure-seeking Indian Jones fig. Each shot is captured very well with its own unique 'Wow' factor. It's really nice to see IJ side-by-side by real wildlife. Impressive job overall!
  13. An excellently-done custom fig, great job all the way from the designing process to the actual realization of these custom parts. I really like the realistic rough stoney metal finish of the helmet and the weapons. Truly an impressive work Thrash! Good luck in the contest!
  14. This is simply outstanding photography Fistach! Great overhead lighting using PF, the build really captures the scene perfectly well. Great job!
  15. Very realistic 'jumping-through-the-glass-window' effect! Great job on this Flare! But the music is too hardcore rock for me.
  16. That's quite a funny pic Ritz Brick! Very clever idea!
  17. Looking great so far! I see you've managed to put the T-shaped detail on the wing engines, very clever use of the faucet piece I must say, but even if the vertical alignment of the 1x2 tile seems a bit broad, I think there's nothing you could do much about it and that set-up would have to suffice. I also liked the way you built the whole length of the nose straightly from the cockpit sides to the tip, something that was sorely inaccurate in TLG's version. Will you be adding the red/orange strips at the sides? Also, do you intend to tile the top for a smooth finish? It would look better if the top was as smooth as the entirety of the nose IMO. And why is there a vertical studded plate ate the side of the astromech compartment? I'm certainly looking forward seeing how you do the rear part. Great job so far!
  18. Nice shots darth yogi! I love the astromech Season's Greetings - clever green-red pairing. And I agree with Doc, the second Hoth shot is the best of the bunch. I like the exaggerated brightness, makes the snowies blend into he white background and makes chrome Vader 'glow' more. Very well done!
  19. Excellent review mifody! Well-written, great photos, and I simply love the comparison photos of the vehicles, good job overall! As for the set, I think it's great, the description says it all - Police Chase! This is something all kid boys will definitely enjoy playing. For a small-sized set you get three cool vehicles, 2 cops (and one is a lovely lady), and a baddie/'violator', what more could you ask for? I really like the upgraded sleeker version of the police car and the red convertible. I would have preferred the current police motorcycle for this set, but the blue trike will suffice.
  20. Hehe, what a funny MOC HeLena! Perfect use of that scared face for the patient, nice details too on the dentistry tools and equipment. Very well done!
  21. Wow, that's truly an awesome creation that fits perfectly well with TLG's official modular buildings. The exterior design looks great, and the interior details are very well done too. Outstanding work alois!
  22. Excellent overall design, great job on pulling off the slanted cockpit and the circular build of the rear thrusters seamlessly. The cockpit controls is very unique and the red strips in the black color scheme looks great! Impressive job Stefan!
  23. Nice idea and well-done opening Russian "Colonization" logo, but do you have more pictures of this MOC? The first views of the hall and sliding door looks promising, some additional photos would certainly help appreciating your work.
  24. This is an amazing shot Rufus, very effective and ingenious use of various lighting to approximate the lightsaber glow without resorting to photoshop. It's also nice to see your alternative shot, but I'm glad you chose this one since the floor reflection in the other photo was bit distracting to the overall scene. Impressive work and I wish you good luck in the contest!
  25. Nice posing of those Spartan figs Doc, I see again your signature use of those rubber bands! IMO, the second photo is much better, because we could clearly see the entirety of the vig as opposed to the 'blocked' view of the first one. I really like the pose of the top spartan - very heroic stance that understandably would've required detaching the leg and arm pieces. I don't know if you there is a way you could have hidden those 'bare detached' points (maybe with some real paper or cloth skirt?). But I still like it the way it is. Great job on this, considering this is outside your comfortable SW zone.
