I think he's talking about the same profile picture. I think I've experienced this also before, I suggest you try logging out then log-in again and see if your photo will show-up. -
The new glued Lego magnets can be removed!
XimenaPaulina replied to Forresto's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Wow, that's some serious ingenious experimentation, literally going all the way trying all possible solvents to deglue the magnet - and came down to the simplest of solutions - hot water treatment. Hehe, it wasn't as complex as I though it would be. However, I did noticed something in this photo: the detached area in the minifig legs actually shows the bonding failure of the surface coating with the minifig leg, and not the bonding failure of the adhesive with the minifig leg. I can't really verify without physically seeing it for myself, but it seems based on the pic that it is not the adhesive/glue that failed during the hot water treatment, but the surface coating of the ABS plastic. Anyways, nerdy chemistry talk aside, this is truly great news to all of us who want to get minifigs via the magnet set route. -
That was actually just meant in jest. I have nothing against Trek, it's actually nice to see some MOCs from this franchise, it's like a breath of fresh air amidst all the SW/Sci-Fi creations that we regularly see.

Yeah I see some slight tattering on Plo's eyes, which is the downside of these rubbery headpieces. Anyway, another great shot Cloney. Nice shots too Doc (worm's eyeview), The Legonater, and Skafte (clever use of the Stormie clock).

Great job fallenangel, I really like the finished product. You did everything you could with your available parts to make this X-Wing as accurate as possible to the real thing, so kudos to that!

BEST Imperial Landing Craft. EVER. You're truly a UCS God.

Great job on this custom fig Forresto! I see you sacrificed a lego piece just for the mechanical arm. Nice work overall, including the small vig. Star Wars Now terminate me.

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Or how about Skylar take on Ms. Fabray next after you're done with Walter? It's been eons since we last dueled. -
I agree, seeing as these are prelims, they might change the outfits of Anakin and Assajj, considering in the new upcoming episodes featuring these three characters, both already don their new attires. But then again, is it worth changing Assajj's minifig design even if this is just her second release? (Unlike the CW Anakin who has had countless minifig releases).

REVIEW: 9349 Fairytale and Historic Minifigures
XimenaPaulina replied to SilentMode's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for another great review SilentMode! Because of your two reviews, I just might've saved myself some bucks, since seeing these sets up-close made me don't wanna buy these anymore simply because of the generic faces. I understand these are Dacta sets, which is great educational tools for kids, and just not intended for AFOL minifig collectors like me. And two things that made me go in your review: -
Interesting LDD MOC Syn, this reminds me a lot of the LDD RCB we did a couple of months ago. I like the way you used green baseplates for the outside, it's always nice to have some green surroundings even in a modern city house. The interior details are looking good, can't wait how you'll finish this one up.
-
Excellent unconventional egg-shaped design for this hovertank Thunderblade! I really like the way how you combined all the slope and curved pieces to achieve the overall oval shape. Great job! I see a gun at the lower part of the front, maybe that's concealed turret? This is futuristic tank anyway, so it might not have the usual current tank design.
-
Very nice work on this modular building paanjang16! I understand the lack of the usual Lego-modular-building details in the front as it is accurate to the real shophouses in the reference that you gave. I like the fact that this was well-planned, designed in LDD first then realized in brickbuild. The interiors are quite nice too, though I'm not sure it looks good beside the official modular buildings. Still, good job on this one!
-
Impressive SNOT build of this starfighter J4ke! What I particularly like is how you achieved the asymmetric dual green pinstripes throughout the whole length of the body. The unconventional positioning of those cockpit canopies are very effective too. Just great work overall!

Very nice Winter Village layout Andreas! It's good to see the combination of the official WV sets with your own MOCs, and even including the MMV there. I really like the mini ski-hill and the addition of the classic steam locomotive.

That castle is massive! Great job on setting this up despite the limited working/playing area. It's already great as presently constructed, and the huge interior space looks promising for additional castle elements that you might want to put there in the future. Nice work chongcheng!

WINTER BREAK: Number 12 Grimmauld Place
XimenaPaulina replied to badboytje88's topic in LEGO Licensed
Looks good badboytje88, but I think the wall colors should be a bit darker, maybe dark bley would look better. And don't forget the window railings/fences thingy. Looking forward for the completion of this one. -
The diary shot photo editing is just amazing! Impressive job putting the extra effort to present your photo in a spectacular way. Great work Plissken!
-
Great job on the modification of the droid carrier Legoman! I knew someone will eventually mod this, your version certainly looks much better than the original one. Do you intend to improve it further to approximate the real platoon attack craft?

Hufflepuff Magus Frankfurt Flashburn versus Gryffindor Magus Ollivander Dippet (recycled image, pls. ignore the HP) Round 2 Farnkfurt Flashburn l 5 _____________________Ollivander Dippet l 3 Mid - 1 _____________________________________Sectumsempra-High! - 0 High - 0 ____________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Expelliarmus! - 1_____________________________Protego! - 0 Stupefy! - 0_________________________________Expecto Patronum! - 0 Low - 1 ____________________________________Mid - 0 Health: 5___________________________________Health: 0 Frankfurt continues his dominance over his Gryffindor rival as Ollivander fights for survival in the second round. The Gryffindor attempts to hit his opponent with a powerful Sectumsempra in the head, but Frankfurt reads his rival's move and counters with a shot that hits Ollivander in the torso. The Hufflepuff looks to follow-up with a high arching spell, only to be disarmed with an Expelliarmus from his fellow Magus. Frankfurt quickly recovers his wand and retaliates with his own Expelliarmus, that manages to break Ollivander's shield charm and deals damage to him. Sensing victory is almost his, Frankfurt unleashes a Stupefy that was adeptly countered by the Gryffindor's Labrador Patronum. But the Hufflepuff has had enough, casting a low sweeping spell that knocks Ollivander unconscious to the ground. Winner: Frankfurt Flashburn! It's deja vu yet again! Frankfurt defeats Ollivander in the second round for the second straight time. Congrats CM, you're a win away from being an Auror. Just tough luck CF, I understand how tough it is to match up against naturally talented Maguses, but he got you this time on the 'normal' attacks. Hang on in there buddy, you'll eventually break through. Update your profiles now. -
Very nice custom alien Forresto, quite clever use of that gold helmet visor for the shoulder plate.
