Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
XimenaPaulina replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks CM. DS sent! -
Great Christmas display SavaTheAggie! It's truly a nice scene of the Dragon family receiving gifts from Santa - a very unique take on the Holiday spirit. Love also the way you got the Texas map shape in brickbuilt. Excellent work as always!
-
Very well done LDD MOC medib! Nothing beats a personalized gift, I'm sure your wife's godson really enjoyed this one, especially since he's the only one with this set in the whole world. Nice work!
-
I love the last shot, classic race kart meets modern smart car! Not much to say about the set though, aside from it's a classic cute little set worth keeping.
-
Looks great! I love the use of those arches and the ribbed bricks for a textured wall in the front. Very presentable slideshow too, it was really nice just sitting back and enjoying seeing the various views of your MOCs. Very good work so far and looking forward for the completion of this project.

That is indeed an interesting spaceship design eltsyr, that is a pretty good spin-off of your source material. I like the unconventional glassed nose and 'tentacled' rear flaps. Love the story BTW, how nice and easy it is to 'persuade' kids.
-
Very nice interesting build Baylego! That is truly a close encounter and better brace yourselves for some bloodshed.
-
Wow, I'm lovin' the use of those chrome pieces, somehow it matches really well with the yellow-purple color scheme. Very effective use of those slopes and wedges too to achieve that unconventional curved design. Great entry and good luck in the contest!

Thanks for this great review TheBrickster! I regret missing out on this set, as this is clearly one of the best minfig 'BPs'/army-builders at that time. The selection of figs are excellent with a good variety of weapons and accessories. Taking a closer look, the ninjas of this set are much better than the more recent NinjaGo and S1 collectible Ninjas IMO. And one thing that makes the shogun look much better is the presence of the gold 'horns' which is lacking in the S3 samurai fig.
-
Yeah maybe I was just a bit biased since when I bought that set last year, I never owned any of those figs before, so it was definitely a great buy for me.
-
Another excellent review, with the usual crisp-clear photos and very well written Brickdoctor-style! Regarding the set, this is definitely one of the best of 2010 - it's minifig galore(!) plus you get Luke's classic landspeeder in a relatively inexpensive set. Truly a must-buy for any SW fan.

The B1 and Royal Guards are great additions to your SW TT figs Tanotrooper! I like how very detailed your B-1 is, especially the backpack (clever insertion of antenna tips in between the grille piece) and the DC-17 (accurately blocky). The colors of the royal guard are spot-on too and quite nice use of double capes to compensate for the bigger height of the TT fig. Great job as always and can't wait to see what you have in store next!

Welcome to the forums eltsyr! As the others have said, any MOC is very much welcome here, especially non-traditional ones like yours. I must say that is a really very well done real life-scaled lightsaber MOC, much like Courleciel's but yours in a non-chrome but equally good version. Impressive work!
-
Excellent entry turambar! I simply love how you built the staircase, chandelier, and Slytherin's portrait - all very well done. The yellowing grey bricks also add a realistic color variation on the walls, and the overall aura of this build is just perfect for the Malfoy manor. Great job on this and best of luck in the contest!

The Gleaming Darkside is the best I've seen from you Gen. Magma! Very effective overhead lighting producing nice reflections off Chrome Vader. Great shot!

Interesting polybag set (BL states this as a Chupa Chups Promotional), I never knew that the old skateboard has a different mold (single wheel clip) compared to the new ones (dual wheel clips).
-
Excellent office furniture Колпак! I'm loving the ultra-modern glass table and grandfather's clock. Those are all very cleverly done! The Boss looks big-time too. Impressive work overall, even the your brickfilm teaser looks promising!
-
Despite its simplicity, I like the fact that this 'ride' can hold four figs and it has interesting details like a seat monitor screen and that opening mini-hood detail. Nice work!
-
Nice concert scene LightSaber, but I had a hard time recognizing the instruments of the band members. Maybe the upcoming electric guitar of the Series 4 Punk Rocker and the new microphone piece will make the band 'happier' when you're able to get them, as well as additional concert equipment like huge speakers and spot lights.

Which is your favourite upcoming Lego minifigure in 2011?
XimenaPaulina replied to commanderneyo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While I appreciate you setting up the polls with specific names, but how can you leave the unconfirmed redesigned-or-not Qui-Gon fig and put there an also unconfirmed Commander Wolffe?? As far as I can see, the prelims are too blurry/lo-res to warrant a name for the supposed Clone Commander in the Frigate set. To be fair, it would be better if you leave them both out of the polls of put them both in. Regarding my minifig choice, I originally picked a toss-up between Shaak and Saesee, but with the clearer pics and even with the new minifig line-up for the 2nd wave, my choice is still Shaak Ti. -
Thanks for sharing this KimT, but it seems somebody beat you to it. Like what I said in that topic, the solution to this de-gluing process is not as complex as we though it would be. But taking a closer look to the detached area, this hot water treatment seems to debond the surface coating of the ABS plastic from the minifig leg and not totally dissolve the adhesive used. Still, this totally great news! Take that Hasbro!

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Death Eater-not yet! So this might be a good chance for you before I go on terrorizing the whole Hogwarts as a DE. Not a Death-Eater = check No Natural Talent = check I know you're getting tired of Ms. Fabray's pretty face, but if you want to try your luck again against me, I'm ok for a duel. -

Very nice review cralegoboy! This is definitely a very buyable small set - you get to the goodie (Harry), baddie (Malfoy), and the new Dobby plus a bunch of useful parts. I'm on the same page with def on this one, as I don't have any HP sets yet and this will be a good set to have for my first one in the HP line.
