Could be some sort of exclusive like Norik and Iruni were this past year...whatever he is he's cool

Nothing we really have not seen in some capacity before, but it's great to get new clear shots from multiple angles. Like I never noticed the Exo-Force Striking Venom had robots attached to the legs before :-D And the details in the Batcave set are just amazing...talk about packing in the play value Although is it just me...or does it seem a little odd there are no pics of the supposed "Super Nova" mech from Exo-Force...or Vikings :(

Outstanding! That's plenty of time to see more redesigned sets (like Slave I and the new A and B Wings), More UCS like the Y-wing and Snowspeeder, and perhaps...just perhaps a few more Expanded Universe ships like the TIE/d. I salute you LEGO, but my wallet curses you :-D

Wow...no Hush? That was a particuarly engaging storyline

Call me crazy...but I like it...it's really different. But I agree, it does look like a MOC...could it possibly be the winning entry in some contest we're not immediatly aware of?

Hmmm...sorta looks more like a Panzer IV then a Panther to me... But that's "to me" I could be horribly off base Either way...that's bound to look damn sweet when it's done

Had to go with Nidhiki...he just seems so seethingly evil

Up there /\ Near the top of the forum is a link that says MY CONTROLS Click there, and on the left-hand side there's a row of links in the menu, In the PERSONAL PROFILE section there are a number of links, among them EDIT SIGNATURE and EDIT AVATAR SETTINGS. EDIT SIGNATURE: This is what places an image or text at the bottom of your post. There's a dialog box in that option where you input what you want to appear down there. If it's just text, just type in whatever. If you want an image, you have to have the URL (Web address) of the image you want to use, and then type that into the box surrounded by the image board tags {IMG}http://www.address.com/image.jpg{/IMG} Replacing { } with [ ]. Although be sure the image you're using is hosted from your own webspace or from someone who will allow you to use theirs because linking from other sites without permission is called "Bandwidth theft" and is generally frowned upon. EDIT AVATAR SETTINGS: This is a little easier because you don't need to host from webspace, you can upload an image right from your computer to the site for use. Just make sure your image is at most 100 X 100 pixels and either type in the URL, or hit the BROWSE button and find the file to upload from your computer. Hope that helps...if you're still unclear on anything just ask -
Sweet! Pretty nice little interpretation of the Huey. It's too bad LEGO doesn't do modern military models because we seriously need a brick UH-1. (That green Megabloks monstrosity from a few years back doesn't count :P ) Can't wait to see the other pics

Kyle Katarn!

Or do like I do and replace the pilots with alpha Team figures wearing helmets But the hair itself is okay...even if you don't care for the "anime" style, LEGO will put it to good use on something else soon...actually i think they already have with the Batman Nightwing minifig

http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread...?threadid=57855 This is the best SW news since I head Episode III had finished post-production before some inexplicable accident possibly killed George Lucas... And personally, this is right up my alley. Over the past 15 or so years that the Expanded Universe has existed, I've always felt that most stores are too penned in by the characters and situations revolving around the "Anakin Skywalker family" and he "Heroes of Yavin" The stuff I've always enjoyed the most are stories that take place thousands of years before the movies (like the Knights of the Old Republic stuff) or stories using minor side characters like Wedge Antilles or Boba Fett. The Star Wars universe is a wonderful and rich field for storytelling...but the continued need to include Obi-Wan, Anakin, Luke, Leia, and Han has really ground creativity to a halt in a lot of cases. Placing a story in a time where all those characters should be dead is just the kind of thing the EU needs right now. Dark Horse has made my year

No...you don't understand...the "Searchbots" are evil...EVIL I TELL YOU! (cocks shotgun) We have to eliminate them before other Searchbots start appearing and try to take over! But seriously...I just wanted to tell you guys how much I love you for adding a "Mark all forums as read and return to index" link to the top of the new topic search page...it's just what I wanted

(squints) I'm not so sure that's not the same advent set from last year, but with a different box. I'm not saying it is the same...but it looks very similar. Guess we'll find out in a couple months or so :P
-
Although the beards...I'm torn on the beards...they're either really neat or too bulky. But the real vikings definatly need those warhammers...those warhammers are stylin'
-
I dunno about locking...a discussion of the differences between the protos and actual sets and which are actually better could be interesting

i don't know where the "ruining of opinion" would come in. Aside from the cool looking giant there's really not all that much we're missing out on. I for one am glad they eventually changed that Kraken and little boat to a small ship and a Wyvern...even is Wyvern dragons aren't particuarly Norse :P
-
HAW! That's pretty nifty! I too thought they were going to be Duplo or Duplo-like...but Minifig style? Now I might pick up a set or two just for the hell of it. Considering I've never sat down and watched an entire episode of the show or had any interest at all in Spongebob there, that's saying something

Ohhh...pretty reply window options :D So far I'm liking it. And fortunatly since I'm using Netscape I can pick wether to view the forum as IE or FF so that little problem is no big deal. So far I'm liking the changes...we still need a shoutbox though

Being a Mod isn't easy... And personally I think the staff here has handled the "recent unpleasentness" rather well. I think the problem with younger users is that they tend to treat message boards like chat rooms, and it really monkeys with the established flow of discourse that usually takes place on a board like this. Plus throw in the adolecent drive to crave attention and for people to "like" you, and it can annoy the rest of us rather quickly. Any sort of standards and rules towards users can really bog a moderating job down. It's best to let the Mods go and do their jobs while using their best judgment instead of tying them up in a thick quagmire of beurocracy before they can act on a situation in the community. So far I've seen the EB team do a great job at keeping the peace here. I think if things keep up the way they have been, EB will remain a fun and interesting place to post and read

Wow...seems to me as if the biological aspect of Bionicle is being played up a little bit more with these new Toa... What else is there to say...awesome *wub*
