  1. Nice design. I would really like to see them in real bricks. Have you thought about adding a little more profile to the heads?
  2. The new sandtrooper now has me questioning a little bit...I will still pick them up, but I am not going to build an army of them.
  3. This has to be my favorite mood-scale MOC in existence (currently)
  4. Very impressive, especially considering what appears to be a decent amount of power behind it. Good show!
  5. With the collectible minifigures seeming to presage some new themes (Aliens, then Alien Conquest; and the Mummy and then Pharoah's Quest) the release of a few Western style minifigures might be a promising design...or it could amount to nothing. Who knows? It does make for some intriguing speculation though.
  6. It's going to be a great home for that balista that you were showing earlier. Nice way of breaking up the walls as well.
  7. It looks like one of the best minifig-scaled siege weapons I've seen. Nice use of the horns!
  8. Be careful with Bricklink. Once you find out how easy it is to get exactly what parts you want...your LEGO will never be the same again. They don't call it "Cracklink" lightly.
  9. Interesting. I really like the idea of updating the Flash to fit in with modern sets better, but I think it really needs the green. The front colors do look good, but it takes away from the 'canon' look a little bit. On the positive ide, I definitly think you are on the right track.
  10. We can't forget Wald or Farr (or the pirates for that matter) under the heading of "Obscure characters." As for Jabba's Palace, I don't think Rebo is going to happen, but Oola, given the Aayla headpiece, might be a possibility. I think the most likey "new" character we might see is maybe Bousch. Just my two cents and an educated guess.
  11. That is extremely impressive. Since Return is by far my favorite of the saga, this gains even more points in my book.
  12. I am very curious what day 2, with a minifigure will be.
  13. My wallet just burst into flames at that statement.
  14. Does anyone have photographs of the landing gear and the "key" for the wings?
  15. Nice job. I'm always interested in seeing more in the other scales.
  16. The only problem I see with that is that LEGO would most likely include an AT-AT pilot for that, although General Veers would be a welcome addition.
  17. I am definitely considering it, but I am not overly sure due to the size. Does anyone have decent measurements of the set in question?
  18. I agree with the "collecting mentality" mindset, and I am aware how that can go overboard. I was initially intending to get a few stormtroopers, which then lead to wishing to create a "type set" of the various Imperial troops, which then to their beginnings (CW.) In short, the Stormtrooper Battle Pack brought me out of the Dark Ages. AFOLs definitely make a great market, and I enjoy the new figures as much as the next guy, but my issue is that the new figures just don't look good. In the attempt to capture more detail in an animated form, it seems like looks are going by the wayside. On a side note, I am also concerned with practical matters, as I am afraid with LEGO's quality control, and more complicated prints, mis-prints will become even more rampant.
  19. This week was fun with ebay, with the Hoth Echo Base, a Gungan Patrol, and an assortment of extra figures, includingthe Clone Scout Trooper for a sum total of $50.
  20. You have now officially changed my opinion of that set from an eyesore to a must build.
  21. I must admit that my reservations are completely from an army building standpoint. in which case uniform is better, obviously. On the other hand, I have tried to get the complete chronological (from the canon) standpoint of the Imperial troopers. Therefore, I will pick up the new CW battlepack in 2012, but I will keep that to a minimum. (I despise the clownish colors of the new ARC trooper) In regards to the "alien" figures, I think LEGO is beginning to stray a bit far off from the original iconic shape. In between Geonossians, Gungans, Ewoks, and the Mon Calamari, the iconic 'minifigure' that we know and adore is beginning to go by the wayside.
  22. I must confess, the largest problem I have with this is keeping up with the sheer amount of new figures coming out. It was somewhat easier when new molded heads were not coming out with every set (or so it seems at times) That being said, I am absolutely a fan of the Ki-Adi-Mundi and Panaka molds from this past year.
  23. Being a big fan of the OT, and the desert planet itself in particular, I definitely have to go for the new Sandtrooper. Just one step closer to completing a massive Imperial Army.
  24. Wow, that is a great job on saving that much. Good show!
  25. Vader Claus and his sled pulled by Gungans.
