That is a very impressive ship, I cannot wait until it is fitted out, ready for sail. How many masts will it have? I am also quite glad that you are on the right side of things. The way the English navy is shaping up around the forums, I think every other power will soon be swept from the Caribbean. Long Live King George!
Personally, I like the new maps, and I've found that they work fairly well in a situation like a commandant's office, or a command post; where you would have several different maps all together. I am glad they decided to use the new one for the Pirates, as it adds some variety when mixing the old and new sets.
oh, yessss my ship carring a crew of 14 soldiers :pir-skull: they are a bit compressed
That just means they need to tak over a pirate ship soon Yayyy plunder!
To quote Captain Jack Sparrow "It's just such a pretty boat, err.. SHIP!" The details are wonderful, and I especially love the fact the governor is well read. How did you build that wonderful bookcase?
I don't have the ship yet, so I cannot comment on that; but I can tell you that old and new pirates do work together. With a little bit creativity, plus Bricklink, the Imperial Guards also go well with new Imperials. (I just promoted my old Guards to officer so they would fit in.) I also can say that the new sets are just as good, if not better than the old sets.
Hmmm... I'm thinking microscale Indiana Jones in my future (provided I can get the sets.) And I love the idea of buildable dice, Brikwars will never be the same. I definitely find it interesting, and I hope it does well so it make the international release.
Just curious, has anyone tried to make any fantasy creatures aside from what LEGO makes? I'm working on a few centaurs, and kind of hit a wall. Thanks!
Excellent work on the decals, at first I thought they were official designs. I always love good nose art, both vintage and futuristic. (And as an art student, believe me, I understand how hard it is to draw anatomy.) Although I never understood most men's fascination with Twi'leks. (I'm more of a Padme guy myself.)
This thread is making me rather sad, as I do not have any Redbeards at all (I was just a little too young for the first round of Pirates). I guess my pirate army is less army and more leaderless mob. (Oh well, they still give the Imperials a run for their money.)
I saw the villians that you had posted, and immediately had strains of the Bond theme running through my head. Excellent mash-ups, I would love to see Gold Tooth with Brickarms' Golden Gun. Are you doing a secret agent to match up against them?
