I just saw that...as an OT guy, that is rather unfortunate.

I fear now that the printed eyes on C-3PO are going to be like the "shifty" clone eyes (the ones looking left and right) except that it will be even more obvious. I can't help but think that the picture from hothbricks makes it appear that 3PO is rolling his eyes.

Have you checked peeron or the inventory on Bricklink?

I agree. We saw this with the white over the orange on the clones this year, it seems to be a major issue any time a lighter color is printed over a darker color.

I am just sitting back and enjoying both the creation and the witty replies around it.

Every day that passes, and more information comes out, and that makes me look forward to the UCS R2-D2 even more. I missed out on Yoda and Darth Maul, I will not miss out on that. Also, larger news, I found this picture of the new sandtrooper on ebay. The new head looks interesting,although I kind of like having my Imperial Army be faceless and menacing.

They look somewhat purple, but that just might be my monitor. I do agree though, new lightsaber blades could come in quite handy. I'm thinking about picking these up mostly for the figures and parts.

I'm sorry, but the quality looks like someone spray painted the original figures (the bubbling and deformation would definitely be symptoms of this.)

Is it just me, or does Father Christmas look less jolly and more angry? Or is that a trick of the light?

That airspeeder was one of the first SW toys that I had, so I have some nostalgia for that build. Good job!

I scored a deal on a block of sets on ebay, and I had them in my closet for a few months. I honestly did it to save just a little bit of dough in the process. Some days, you just have a bad day and want to build a set.

Ok, when you put it like that, I can see your point. I am just afraid we are going to lose the "creative aspect" with the infinitely customizable options.

The up-scales figures (I'm not sure what to refer to that as, Legoland scale perhaps?) definitely do not dissapoint. I think the astromech and the Imperial and clone pilots will definitely need to be built.

I particularly like the expression on Sebulba's face, you can almost see him thinking "...and?"
