  1. I am sooo excited that this day finally arrived! That was a long wait. I wish we had original pirates but this is the next best thing. Long live Lego Pirates of the Caribbean!
  2. Wow! This is a great MOC with very cool figures. Well done. I am using the new musketeers torso with white legs, white epaulettes, white backpack and a black tricorne hat as part of my French Royalist army.
  3. Congratulations indeed. Finally breakfast pasteries everywhere have equal representation! Regulate well!
  4. You're right it is new. My bad. I was looking on my phone and didn't read it correct. Great comics!
  5. Great comic! It's a pretty old topic though. I guess he didn't do anymore. Still I love Lego comics!
  6. Might as well. I've been banned from most respectable places already.
  7. I thought it was pretty funny too. I think it would be even funnier to ban everyone who didn't play along with the crews joke...at least for the rest of the day Thanks to the entire Shipyard Crew for the extra little entertainment and all the time and effort you put into keeping the pirate blog and forums so enjoyable! It gave us something to talk about for one more day while we all wait for the new pirates line to go on sale. You'll always be Banned 0utlaws to me! Oh and for the record I think people named after breakfast pastries are terrific people.
  8. Bricklink! Thanks and thanks for not banning me too. I took only my ration of rum!
  9. I always thought the crew did their best writing drunk! Oh well, you gotta mix it up once in a while. I never trusted that Croissant guy anyway. Never trust a guy named after breakfast pastry and you'll live a lot longer. Good luck recruiting a new crew Big Cam. You might consider a Bosun next time to help keep the crew in order!
  10. Thanks for all the ideas and pictures! Here is another I took last night. I think I prefere the one with the white arms and backpack.
  11. Very nice overview of the Pirates line. It is evident you spent a lot of time on this. It wiuld maje a fine addition to the Classic-pirates site if you and the crew could reach and agreement on using it as a permanent reference material. I hope at least it gets blogged. My only suggestion is that you give a shout out to the Caribbean Clipper and the original Imperial Flagship.
  12. I'm kind of digging the white arm idea. I'll try that. I used the white epaulettes as a reference to the Bourbon white flag. I am thinking I'll do between 30 and 60 of these guys.
  13. As my army building efforts continue I have decided to create a company of French Royalist soldiers to fight alongside my Redcoats.
  14. Is it just me or does anyone else think that this Bluecoat is trying to compensate for something? That is one serious Bayonet!
  15. I bought more than a few of the MMV sets. I think they go excellent with the pirate theme!
  16. Yep. The bulk of the army 200+ is brickbeards torso with black epaulettes, black legs, black muskets and the conquistador helmets. Plus another 30 or so armada minifigures and another 40ish fright knight torsos I thought made good Spanish figures. It not ment to be historically accurate. It's leader will be Zorro.

  17. An update on my French and Spanish armies. They have just grown to over 200 soldiers each. I hope to have them completed by early May. They will total about 400 each.

  18. I thought on that issue a long time and finally decided that it would be impossible to ever make the tables that exact as to match the height of the bricks perfectly. My final conclusion was it doesn't matter that much as the difference could only be off by less than a brick and since 3 plates make a brick it would only be off by less than a single plate in the end. If figured I could jigge...

  19. Fantastic photos! It is stunning to see two such beautiful vessels side by side in such an amazingly done picture. I hope you had a lot of fun as well.
  20. Ha! That was excellent. Thanks for the laugh. Keep them coming.
  21. She looks very handy and tough. I really like the design and the use of the green hulls. I also like your custom built midsection. The sails and rigging really bring your ship to like. Nice job.
  22. Excellent stop motion movie. The story was told very nicely. It brought a smile to my face. It also reminds of the always important lesson to beware cursed treasure. Also, and you all know this to be true, the Redcoats are going to win and leave with the treasure!
  23. That is so cool! It looks just like my Marlin 30-30. I'm goin to have to get a few. Not right for classic pirate era. I think the lever action was invented around 1860 and is the essential cowboy rifle.
  24. No doubt that these are two great ships. I'd have to go with the IFS. It is by far the largest ship which I think would mean she'd be carrying the heavier guns and larger crew which in my book makes her the powerhouse of the line up. There are a lot more parts in the IFS and you get a more sophisticated design. I also love the more realistic sails. I really like the SES and am glad to have both ships in my collection.
  25. Great looking MOC. You took a set beloved by all Lego pirate fans and made it even better. I like the fact you kept the yellow ring at the bottom. Many other great details. My only complaint is that your link to the other pictures isn't working and I want to see more pictures of this beautiful creation.
