  1. I am posting these picture again here so folks can comment on them if they'd like as the staff has asked that the memorial thread where I originally posted these not be cluttered with comments. I put together these three armies as a tribute to Zorro. There are 480 British soldiers. About half are the original redcoat torso. The other half is the new torso. They all have brown backpacks, blue epaulettes and brown muskets and all wear the new printed shako. The british forces also consist of 192 British Naval Officers. They are all the classic bluecoat torso and have yellow epaulettes, black bicorne hats and a cutlass. There are also 64 French Royalist soldiers fighting with the British. They consist of the two existing torsos that feature the Fleu de lys. They have white backpacks and epaulettes, and black tricorne hats with white feathers (eventually I'd like all to have the white rimmed tricorne (only 4 have those now). The Spanish Army has 418 soldiers. 320 soldiers are the brickbeard torsoblack epaulettes and black muskets. Eventually I'd like them to have black backpacks - but i'll have to wait until they become more common. The remainder are a mixture of classic armada torsos with black epaulettes and those wearing castle breast plates. All 418 have the spanish helmets. Finally there are 448 French soldiers. They are all the governor torso with brown backpacks, the old plain shako, brown muskets and red epaulettes. Most have white pants. 64 have red pants. In total there are 1,602 soldiers in formation to honor Zorro. It took a good deal of time to put together these armies. The French and Spanish armies I started working on earlier this year.
  2. Finally finished the 64 French Royalists that will fight alongside my British Troops. Hope you like them.
  3. It took a long while to build Zorro's Spanish Army . My tribute to him consists of my British Army of 480 troops, British Navy of 192 officers, French Royalist forces of 64 soldiers, Zorro's Spanish Army of 418 soldiers, and the French Army of 448 soldiers. In total there are !,602 soldiers and a few of his many Eurobricks friends paying tribute to a great Lego Pirate fan. I miss his presence at Classic-Pirates. I had a lot of fun building these armies to pay my respects to him. Every time a new batch of parts arrived I thought of him. May his army stand in honor of his memory for many years to come. Gone but not forgotten Zorro.
  4. Great review. I really like this set. It's my favorite of the PoC sets.
  5. Wow. I love it. The elevation changes and all the detail and unique spaces really make this fort special. It's nice and big as well. Go Redcoats!
  6. Congratulations on your new rank. Your contributions to this forum help make Classic-Pirates the great place it is. Thanks for all your hard work. Cheers!
  7. I bought 10 of those new gold trimmed bicorne's off Bricklink today. I'm excited to get them.
  8. Great review. I just got this set today. I love it. It's the first non-pirate set I've taken the time to build in a while. It's outstanding, plus it has goats and chickens but mostly I love those goats.
  9. Great army. I love the "governor" torso for French soldiers. I have a few hundred as regular infantry. Great photos as well.
  10. Awesome beach battle scene. The scale works beautifully. Who won?
  11. Welcome. I'd say the IFS hands down. In my opinion it's the best Lego ship ever produced for the line. After that I'd go for the BSB. Good luck and enjoy!
  12. I wouldn't be the huge Lego Pirate fan I am without absolutely positively having to have both or maybe a couple of each. I don't like the PoC sets nearly as much as the classic sets but still there are some very cool parts. Black sails come on! Who doesn't want to chase down a pirate ship with black sails? It's what the IFS and the British Royal Navy were made for.
  13. Lol. I miss you guys too. Life and work man. I finally got the position I've been working for in my career. Unfortunately it takes a lot of time and focus to be a City Manager. I try to peak in at least every few weeks when I get a free minute. Send my best to everyone. Anyone clamoring for another Tournament? I was thinking soldiers vs pirated might be a good change of pace.

  14. Thanks. Glad to be able to stop in. With this new job things get so busy that weeks go by so fast. Unfortunaltly the free time just isn't there anymore and I miss out on all these teriffic MOC's...such as Fort Marlin here. I have to make more of an effort to swing by!
  15. Nice looking port and fortress. As you might imagine I LOVE the scale and ambition of your design. The bigger the better! Keep it up. One day many years from now we can have an epic battle (which you and the rest of the Bluecoats will be defeated - as was fortold many years ago by a scorcerer from the early castle theme era).
  16. Imperial Flagship 10210 Black Seas Barracuda Eldorado Fortress Imperial Trading Post Skull's Eye Schooner
  17. Mr. Phes is correct but that aside my guess would be around $1500 to $2000 depending on condition and demand at the time you sold them. You'd have to sell each one individually to get that in EBay or bricklink.
  18. Nope. You can get it for MAC or Windows. I use a Comic Life Deluxe Edition Windows version. I think they might have a specific "special" version available only for MAC.
  19. Very nice comic. I'm looking forward to more soon. If you like creating comics you might explore a program called comic life. I use it for my comics. It works well and is very easy to use.
  20. Sounds far fetched to me! More likely the Bluecoats are afraid to fight pirates on their own. Love all the classic figures none the less.
  21. Gotta love Captain Jack in classic yellow! I wish fleshy didn't exist. Well done!
  22. WOW! That is exceptionally cool. You have so many cool details in such a small creation. That is a tremendous talent. I wish I could build like that....I'd save a ton of money.
  23. Some folks just don't like to assign nationality to the Red and Blue soldiers. For me it's 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other. You forgot in your analysis that everyone else either wants to hang or eat the pirates!
  24. Welcome to Classic-pirates and Eurobricks Flintlock! I'm not sure about the profile issue. I know you can not PM until you accumulate some posts to prevent spamming. Might be the same issue with profiles. It is customary to share a little about yourself and your interests. Also Eurobricks has a specific I'm new here topic if you want to introduce yourself to the broader community. This is a terrific forum and I am sure you'll enjoy your time here. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
  25. What is my latest purchase? That would be the entire Pirates of the Caribbean line! I meant to just buy the London Escape today but well....$#!+ sometimes just happens! Awesome!!! I wish I could tear into them now but stupid work is interfering.
