Price per brick is one thing; I don't think that's the issue most people are having. I'm personally frustrated that Lego has decided to increase the size of the sets (and therefore the price) for WV. The first three sets were in the 600-800 piece range, and $55-70 USD range. Some of us just don't have the money to justify spending $100 on a set, especially during a time of already-high spending. For me, that's the problem. I loved the first three sets, and am effectively finding myself priced out of the line. Considering how nice those first three sets were for their smaller size, that's a real shame.

I was really hoping to like this one. While I love the idea of the WV sets, this will make two in a row that I pass on. My wife got me the first three as Christmas presents, which was a terrific little tradition for a few years. $100 is just too much to spend on this line. The cottage last year looked nice but was far too large compared to the other sets. The carousel looks very, very nice but the set doesn't do much for me. Even then, I'd probably go for it just to keep the tradition going, but not for this price. Oh well. I suppose this is just good encouragement to build my own, but I'll miss getting them from my wife.

That scroll is great. It's hard to tell if he's just stumbling around or deliberately kicking the cup over. Love it!

Wow, this looks great! I'm a really big fan of SNOT water. Err, that sounds pretty gross, but still, nice effect. I love the scope of it; what a great project.

Looking good. I especially like the use of flowers, as well as the dome to simulate snow. The only suggestion I would have is to change the area directly under the dome to brown or other dark color, if possible. It almost looks as if the well roof is naturally white. That said, I like it!

Great build, and I really like that guard. Is the king more excited about the pie or the frog?

Hi all. This is my first MOC since coming out of my dark age about seven years ago (I spent a long time just building official sets). I've fallen in love with the castle theme in the last year or so, and had a lot of fun with this build. I'd love to get some feedback and suggestions on how to improve. Thanks!
