Review 4742 Chill Speeder
green dewback replied to penguinz's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have this set, but it's terrible. Most of the parts have no use on other MOC. -
Mmmmm Chrooooome! Chrome Combat

Very nice, but the balloon string could be done better as it looks too rigid with the antenna piece.

I stopped buying City rubber-wheeled vehicles after multiple sets with oily tyres out of the box in around 2005 or 06 , can't remember exactly. The residue smells bad and sticks to your fingers making you not want to play with your toy. Small aircraft tyres didn't seem to be affected.

Don't worry, we won't "kick you out". Welcome to Eurobricks. Great looking mech you got there, looks like a Transformer with those threads on the feet. -
Made this months ago, had the urge to photograph it this afternoon so here it is. Carrying 2 minifigs and cargo box. Orient Expedition Kilroy and Alpha Team Flex Cargo space Mostly grey bottom. Love this little plane, its very fun to SWOOSH ~~~

The bunker looks good, I can imagine a horde of zombies banging on it. -
Where is the "freeze ray" as the set name suggest ?

Modded 8957 Mine Mech
green dewback replied to green dewback's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
After the first sighting of the Crystal King, the PowerMiners went back to the drawing board to develop new weapons for their defence. Due to budget constrains, they decided to just upgrade their convoy defence mine-mech. Beam sword, dual cannon, rocket launcher. Some of the shots seem blurry, ill go clean the lens. -
The alien certainly looks creepy with that black spot (black hole?) on it's chest.

REVIEW: 8967 Gold Tooth's Getaway
green dewback replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It looks like Agent Swipe is chasing his evil twin brother. -
Entry name: Ogel's Millenium Owl Theme: Alpha Team 203 Pieces excluding stand and minifigs Days after the Alpha Team destroyed his precious underwater base, Ogel commanded his loyal mutant animals to salvage the site for the main hull pieces to build his next battle machine. The Millenium Owl hovers in the air towards Lego City, with Ogel shooting the Zombie Cannon powered by 4 skull jars. Innocent civilians of Lego City are being transformed into zombies by the minute, will the Alpha Team stop him this round ? front top back (with Ogel's signature skull) Interior with 4 henchman. Power cells, coolant tubes, control levers. Cockpit with pilot's 3D navigation system. Closeup view of the henchman (their helmet reflect too much light) Skull jars with Ogel and the Zombie Cannon. Hatch open & close. He's not a happy man. Hover mode, with 4 stubby legs when the hover engine need to rest. Size comparison between Owl and Falcon.

High megapixels are not really that important as you need to resize your pictures much smaller before posting them on the internet. It's not a bad thing to have more as it gives you more allowance for mistake. Most of the time you would be using the Macro or Super Macro setting to take pictures of your Lego which is around 30cm or less from where you want to focus. Get those with the lens that protrude out of the shell, don't get those with the lens inside the body. Some brands use japanese name but manufacture in China, so check on the label below the camera for "made-in-japan". If possible, try it out on the spot.

Yes Mark, I seen it on youtube weeks ago while I was bored and searched the keyword "lego coaster". Its so big that it looks like a train locomotive climbing rollercoaster rails. Very unique idea of twisting the tracks.

Looking forward to see more rollercoaster MOC.

That's some HUGE pics.

More arms for Obi-Wan to slice up one-by-one ?
