Pictures from Lego Catalog 2010
green dewback replied to kris kelvin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Farmer impulse is great. Cheap source for 2 animals. -
Glad they are finally ending those figures with unpronounceable names.
-
That ice cutter vehicle sure is ugly.
-
Thanks for the pictures, Ive been waiting for a closer look of this set. Sadly it makes me want it less as the red/white scheme is just too dull.

Snowman holding a carrot.

I got the smooth chocolate version of leia's hair too in my deathstar which I built last week. Very disappointing.

Best and Worst Set: 2009 Edition
green dewback replied to Legoliner Pilot's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Best: Cannon Battle (Cheap firing cannon with 2 minifigs, great starter to introduce you into a new theme.) Worst: Minifig packs and 3-set magnets (For introducing sub-par quality minifigs into the pure world, with people selling magnets as the real deal minifigs.) -
The flying manta-ray style body looks great with a comfortable cockpit. Try having more "light" when taking pictures the next time, it would make the pictures more presentable.

I have a lot of ugly Technic pieces from my 2nd theme which is the "alpha team: mission deep sea". They are kept in separate containers from my other pieces.

10210 Imperial Flagship - UPCOMING SET!!!
green dewback replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Looks really great, but with the premium pricing they could have included all 8 cannons and more sailors. -
The 7207 fireboat looks great. Made me had a tingling feeling in my heart. Some of my favourite parts that I couldn't get, all into one. Extend-able beam, inverted slope windscreen for ship and more floating ship hulls ! Lots of gaps on the side and more water cannons, thats not good. Great for re-enacting scenes from "The Perfect Storm".

Hi KimT, I have redone my entry too, please rename the title for me to "Clone Tank Battle-Pack". Thank You Astromech Chariot
-
Seen it once during a lego train show in a new shopping mall around a decade ago. The layout had 4559 trains going through an underwater "tunnel" made with transparent acrylic, and the water had blue food-colouring to make it obvious.
-
The head piece is glued on pretty tight, I couldn't remove it from the helmet. Sounds like Jango Fett's decapitated head staying in his helmet in ep2. Yes, the arms are removable using the same method with normal minifigs.
-
Congrats to the winners.

What's your favourite Lego colour?
green dewback replied to Dr Kilroy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Probably lime green. -
Redone the entry to replace the Astromech Chariot. Clone Tank Battle-Pack 69 pieces excluding the Minifigs. "The Republic Army need your support to combat the endless waves of invading droids ! Rolling on rubber threads, the light support tank of the Clone Army storms into the battlefield. Clone Troopers dismount and take on any droid that stands in their path. Build your army with the Republic today ! " The Clone Troopers. Riding into battle. Sloped armor on the front with dual laser cannon on turret. Side view of tread and wheels. Had this inspiration on tracked vehicle last night before sleep, so gave it a try to replace the terribly small cart in my previous Astromech Chariot entry. The tracked chassis was 42 piececount, so I tried putting various weapon system on top but the piececount would be over 70 so I kept things simple with a basic swiveling laser turret. Since this thread got revived I'll add on something. I've read in the Nerf hobby where people stretch the springs and heat it up. Im not sure whats the exact procedure but Im guessing it might be a small butane torch. Stretching alone makes the spring have better performance but it will gradually revert back to original or possibly worst.

LEGO Pieces you like but most AFOLs hate
green dewback replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This piece from http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=4573-1 *edit* Opps, saw the title wrongly. The piece above is the one I dislike. -
Here are my 5 picks Venator Star Destroyer - By thire5 Death Star - By BaronSat Endor diorama - by Mutley777 Hoth - By Morten steampunk Royal Gunship - By Oky Wan Kenobi

Ive done something similar to a $1 final-duel-2 Luke bought from bricklink. Chuck it into a plastic bag filled with water and left it in the freezer. Felt guilty about it months later, how could I have treated my precious minifigs to such torture !

A theory behind the large box sizes
green dewback replied to HumanPackMule's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Excitement before you open, disappointment after peeking in. -
Looks great, good parts pack too.

[Review] 8014 - Clone Walker Battle Pack
green dewback replied to Walter Kovacs's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great Review Im not going to open the commando gear polybags too as I don't need the contents. Keeping the clones generic so no armor for them. Will open my 2 boxes after watching season2 of TCW and into the gunship they go.
