True Classic Town is for me LEGO Thats it actually - YOU are the one who made me to know about Kerli. And I do believe today that she is one of though girl. Yes, North makes you different - all these dark nights during winter, cold, wolves - you know what I mean I was exchange student to Finland for a year and I do understand why Finns come here and I am happy for that. As my mom is from one of the islands here - I have eaten salted fish tons of but you see beer truely makes it very good

Thanks for the comments. Today there are 14 residences, one 6 bed barracks plus 11 hotel rooms for the town people. For overnight stay also there are sleeping quarters on the Coast Guard and Cargo ship, plus Shell jet and Osprey both sleep each 2 more minifigures. All in total there are 50 bed places available in Marko Bay town. My future buildings are planned in bright pink, tan, sand red and dark pink - it should add even more some color. Yes my town people are allowed to drive formula cars on the streets. Though for street use they must fit into max 7 stud width, so some modifications are made at Ferrari Garage. More about the BMW Williams F1 with Montoya and comparison to Räikkönen Ferrari you can see at REVIEW: 8374 Williams F1 Team Racer Osprey and pub The Barn are owned by John Frederick "The Footballer" who has another island in the Med to be covered in future. Today the plane is used as transport for mechanics, henchmen, light jeep and sleeping.

I love bright pink and dark pink. Your hotel should be called Grand Hotel as it is grand. Just lovely, you see there are out there very nice colors LEGO has made over the years. Good job!!!

Tere, I was born in USSR occupied territories and LEGO was not sold here during my youth. My friend had aunt in Sweden who had fled there from approaching Red Army in 1945 with her mom and sent him some LEGO - Space it was. He was very popular in our class as he had these amazing minifigures and bricks. It was back in the 80s. In early 90s my younger brother got a small LEGO police set that was not too much to build something. 2005 I had my first son and I decided to make up all the lost time with LEGO. My first gift for him was LEGO branded mirror Then I bought almost all DUPLO ville and train sets over the two years. 2008 for Christmas my son already wanted to have LEGO prison and cargo ship. Prison he did not get and will not get but from December 2008 I have been building in his room a town called Marko Bay for me mostly. I am from Estonia but have lived in Finland, Lithuania and US for shorter periods. Before LEGO I have done go carting (when 9-12 years old), MERP & Merc RPG-s, karate, amateur theater, acting in Russian propaganda movie against smoking, shooting, drinking ... and working in hospitality, IT and education fields. And I speak language that is spoken by less than 1M people . I like modern military creations, classic town style, Indiana Jones, Ferrari, James Bond ... anything that has resemblance to the real world and has playability in it. Plus I think that I will start to like Sponge Bob soon as I have to see it almost daily. Kõike head soovides, Marko

Thank you for kind words. I wanted to have some set for my birthday that had not been reviewed here before Also I wanted to do my first review with something simple. Upon your suggestion I did contact LEGO today for replacement pieces - we will see if they will send these to me. Once more thanks to everybody for reading this review.

Nice real world military vignette

Thanks. I resized them and made back to images.

I have uploaded the pictures as well. Sorry for the sizeable pictures but I tried my best by making them small bite size, though everything is relative. Enjoy and give me some feedback.

UPDATE December 2009 I thought that I will give an update about my town. Town had to move to another room (as my son was growing and needed all of his own room to him) and was a bit downsized Now still most of the buildings are not finished properly but the population is growing and growing. Some of the mini figures even moved out to nearby islands. Nazi Army protections services were replaced by Agents Mobile Command Truck and some of the Star Wars fleet. Otherwise it has been a year of the sports - NBA Challenge, Football Championship Challenge II, NHL Street Hockey, Gravity Games Skateboard Vert Park Challenge were added to the town and nearby winter resort got Gravity Games Snowboard Boarder Cross Race. Birdsview Shell hotel neighborhood Now we have skating grounds, land hockey and out of picture are football and basketball courts to keep the young crowd away from Dr. Inferno and Dollar Bill temptations. Old fort Old fort was restored and now houses Police station and fish market run by former pirate captain. Street Town decided to take town the genetically modified palm trees and the job was given to most trusted and well paid of the town workers. OLD POST: Due to world financial crisis I am not able to present to you my finished version of the town this year. So I decided to go for WIP now. What you see is created from scratch starting Christmas 2008 (when my son got harbor, coast guard and Ferrari sets) as we had only Duplo (almost all ville sets from 2005 on) until now. For the project I ordered only from BL new parts or purchased sets locally. General Info Marko Bay is located on an Mediterranean island. Its citizens are friendly folks who live from tourism and trade. South side of the bay has old town quarter with church, hotel and some residential buildings to the south-east. Not yet started are left from the hotel town hall with shops and to the right supermarket with apartments on top floors. South-west we have Ferrari Garage, Shell station and Airport. To the west we have two private houses - one belongs to Felippe Massa/Kimi Räikkönen and other to Juan Montoya. There is one more lot left there that will be most probably inhabited by Bruce Wayne. On north there are Coast Guard station, port and the Barn (first building of the whole settlement). Many developments were planned for future but due to the recession plans will be reviewed. Birdsview View to south View to west Buildings Airport is main entry to the town and has seen most different planes - Shell Duplo jet, CV-22 Osprey Residences of the better half ... Ferrari Garage and Shell station serve many of the town motorists Octan Hotel was the first building on south bank Church in progress Mostly community workers residences Some shops in progress for hair, hats and wine Shell Hotel is to accommodate increasing tourist Port and Coast Guard station The Barn is owned by John Frederick "The Footballer"

nice - I like simplicity and this tank is good example of it and one suitable for LEGO world wars.

That Ninja head is the thing I like in this set the least as my sets minifigures also serve as citizens in Marko Bay town. Montoya moved next to Räikkönen and Massa house but can not go outside to sun bathe in this terrorist head He needs a new head but I am not sure what would fit him.

My visit to the site made my browser to report the following Google safe browsing report , so I left the site.

Scary. I want to be friends with you as you would be to strong for an enemy You can take over quite many of lego towns out here. Nice pictures in Spring sun. Also I am happy that there are as well other places where there is still snow.

I was just going over your creations at flickr and I must admit they are very very detailed and accurate. Up to today I find your selection the best one from the planes and helicopters that I have been browsing over last couple of months. You are totally correct that I am building something that is for play but with noticeable similarities to real world. Even with that huge wing and tail piece my three year old son has totally crashed the plane couple of times while crabbing it for fly. With all the good, Marko

Thank You for the critique. I totally do agree with the missing engines, three bladed props and I was long considering not to use the fuselage pieces for middle section of the fuselage. These things I will update in future. Also I am not at all happy with the transformation from hull to the wing, that I will change as well to look more like Osprey. Regarding the wing and tail piece I would not agree with you. The degree of forward angle for me was not so important in the wing and one piece tail is very much in the form of Ospreys. I do understand that there is missing ramp but many (if not to say almost all) MOCs are opening top of their creations to fit minifigures in - that was for me the excuse of not to go for old-fashioned brick creation of tail part with ramp but to use LEGO standard huge piece for todays planes on hinges to fit in car. With all respect for your nice creations that I have long looked at, Marko

Please add also my review of 8374 Williams F1 Team Racer -
This is very basic creation but I have almost all Duplo town sets from 2005 on and needed to get them some use while upgrading to system. Front section seats support crew, back you can see two beds back there for Räikkönen and Massa Main cabin can seat F1 drivers with their girlfriends In todays plane sizes Duplo plane does not look too huge anymore Support team "What can it be, sirs?" later

I participated in lego.com poll about online communities and there were lot of kind of offensive questions regarding the different forums. So one of the forums listed was eurobricks.com, so I decided to check it out. It took me many visits before I decided to join the forum.

I like light yellow, bright pink, tan. Quit a disappointment for me was aqua. Of course there are way too many red and blue bricks out there that force you to use them. Sand blue and other sand colors I have not yet decided about if I like them or not as I have not yet built from them full structures.

And I saw first time drawing of the then prototype in 1992 in Twilight2000/Merc 2000 Nautical/Aviation Handbook . You lucky guy have seen it in life and I have always dreamed about one. It is missing a whole pair of tail fins. I tried to copy the style that LEGO had for last Coast Guard Helicopter with most efficient way but I do agree it is not a model copy - more of a play aircraft inspired by CV-22.

About the V-22 Osprey project in Wikipedia USMC variant, the MV-22B, is an assault transport for troops, equipment and supplies, capable of operating from ships or from expeditionary airfields ashore. It is replacing the Marine Corps' CH-46E and CH-53D. The V-22 will fly twice as fast, several times further, and with a heavier payload than the helicopters it replaces. Here comes my inspiration for the craft. In my Lego world this particular CV-22 is made from surplus parts in an remote Mediterranean island to be used by mercenaries operating in African region. The whole project is managed by John Frederick "The Footballer" from Marko Bay town. Initially I had CV-22 in Merc 2000 RPG back in 90s as main transport for our crew of mercenaries. This is WIP but I decided to share with you what I have until now. There are to be replaced some white color bricks to new light grey. Maybe I also change bricks to panels for the hull. Back wings are missing and interior has not been done to the full operations specs. This is my first MOC post here and first plane MOC. I stay waiting for critiques and suggestions. It can take in a car developed specially for the plane. Flying low with regular plane mode. I have also some pics about the real plane from US Navy website but probably I should not post them here.

Finally I managed to "learn" how to use Apple iDisk and now my pictures are there for viewing without tiresome links download. Thanks for noticing that the images were not working earlier.

Good town! Is it some British colony? I see that your cars drive on the "wrong" side of the street And you have nice women in town. My son thinks more crime would be needed.
