  1. I use mix - grey for serious down town area and green for a bit further area. I use 9 and 8 stud plates, these new 6 stud ones look very junior to me with printed wells. If I have to one day to use the new ones then I would choose now grey as the look less awful.
  2. After my son was born I bought him almost all Duplo sets from 2005-2008. But when he was turning three he already pointed out in Lego catalogue big City container boat and for that Christams he got that one and Ferrari set. In less than a year I ended up spending more than 1000EUR on normal Lego starting with City sets switch to Pirates while on holidays and Indiana Jones. Still my almost four years old son likes both of them - Duplo and City sets. He plays with the Lego world I built him but he builds himself with Duplo, until recently when he built Indiana Jones flying wing into SW fighter. For this christmas it will be already SW sets but these are double the brick price ... My advice would be to buy some Duplo but not too much as anyway they will switch quite quickly. I use Duplo in my normal System creations like here and here . And I plan to sell off most of Duplo vehicles and figures when my second son turns three.
  3. WOW an elevator Now I know why some of the pink pices are quite rare and expensive at BL lately Very impressive and expensive for mini figures I suppose to stay there. I have been long time waiting some Paradisa spirit MOCs and yours is very good.
  4. I posted the pic. Tree is 5,5 cm high and has no Lego written anywhere but fits perfectly on the baseplate.
  5. Unfortunately I can not post here the picture but the tree looks like a bit fat cypress tree but is only 10 leaf rounds. What is it? You can see the tree at the left corner in attached file.
  6. YES YES! This is my first LEGO set that me and my brother got from our father who was at the time migrant worker in Finland and we lived still in Soviet Union. Now my son uses the set as part of his town police force. The SUV is quite usable as beach patrol car and boat qualifies as scooter in "new" more sizeable LEGO universe.
  7. Nice, it is good to see again boat MOC here. I thought that there is nothing to do with the large RIB base but you have taken it into quite purposeful use. Good job. Is there any real boat similar to yours?
  8. This is one of a nice project. Please carry on. I will use some of your decoded buildings in my town.
  9. Dino hunters have good torsos 1 2 3 to be used by any special operations men and women or by mercenaries.
  10. Your topic is hot for me as well. I have four space men and nowhere to but them. The black one was easy to remake into commercial pilot in my town the red, blue and yellow I have been tossing around my island and military ships I have. Seems thta I should as well think of some permanent residence for them like yours
  11. Shouldn't this discussion be in licensed themes topic? NBA players are used under license from NBA.
  12. When I see extreamly good price in bricklink or ebay I always suspect some illegal activity though I also have security system on my home and on my car, complicted key system to my house and I am readying my employees e-mail
  13. Yes yes, ferry! Boats are always nice to see for me though I like more floating boats but that limits a lot in design part. Did you have some particular ferry in mind? I mean I have not seen before side opening ferry but surely there are. Anyway I really like the mass and size of your creation. Nice work.
  14. I am not at all fan of Batman (anymore) but your Arkham Asylum MOC made me to remember all the nice time I had in my childhood with Batman and the rest. Your MOC is awesome , I would say it is very strong and would fit perfectly any town. Maybe even we can say that any town needs one, specially with the systems lords like the members we have here at EB. And most important your MOC made me now interested in Batman line to find some additions to my own town and islet population and vehicles. Thank you for inspiring ASYLUM!
  15. Good. Octan truck is like real LEGO company one. Real life Hondas I like a lot (my first new car was Prelude ) but for me S2000 does not have such a huge canopy roof. And what I appreciate the most is that you use colors to deepen your creations, specially the Fit and ambulances.
  16. As I am leaving to the Med soon I decided to share my WIP islet that is close to the Marko Bay and where most of their planes and cars are made. For the project I tried to use as much Duplo that we had already and other parts that were left over from Marko Bay. General Info Footballer Islet is located in the Mediterranean next to Marko Bay island. Its owner is former footballer, present restaurant and airplane workshop owner with some plans for mercenary activities in Africa. South-east has owners quarters that have not yet been finished. In the middle of the island you see warehouse with spare LEGO parts, workers blue hut, air and operations control. To the north we have small hill with pilots home - beach house. Birdsview Island is also home for Fast Strike Craft you see patrolling there. Some buildings Owners house with his beach. Pilots beach house. Mechanics and mercenaries barracks. These are the people using V-22 Osprey Air control and operations control center. Island is patrolled by retired Dino hunters.
  17. Now I know why I use Eurobricks. Yes initial version with the slicks was too co-cartish. I added my new version pictures - one bigger and one smaller wheel make it much more realistic. Thats the wheelchair model he will be using. Thank you all for input.
  18. I am happy that there are out people who like as well connecting Duplo and system . I have used Duplo plane as base for my plane conversion into system compatible minifigure transport. My other problem was baseplates - I wanted to use Duplo baseplates with system. For that these baseplates needed to be added Duplo plates on top of them. Some can be seen vaguely here. You see also that Duplo train tracks fit kind of on system baseplates if you use plates under there as fastening points. Plant Prickly Bush (BL name) fits well on Duplo stud. I like to use Duplo for more rough (harder for minifigures to travel on) terrain creation.
  19. I do not see this MOC at all offensive and am happy that most important celebration of Christians was covered here at eurobircks. Besides taking Bible seriously I also do Confessions and take Holy Communion.
  20. I got back my and my brother old LEGO and found one much abused classic fireman. As his legs are broken and arms as well I decided to make him motorized wheelchair that he can drive with knees. As you can see he is also almost blind. Thank you. What happens to your abused and handicapped minifigures?!
  21. And now the plane in action Dino people who became mercenaries are getting car out at new employers beach That is able and willing team to destroy your village or loot your harbor Some interior shots That is it with this project, I may modify tail and engine a bit but for play this model is done.
  22. I like the idea. Honestly I always am a bit confused where to post either here or Trains & Town for example for light gray boats and planes and dark green vehicles. Until now I have had the logic of that guns do not fit Town & Train and should come here. Am I right?
  23. I like that you have as well F1 cars out there like in my town. I see that you have F1 car in green colors, could you please show more of your F1 MOC/MOD-s in a separate topic. You have something nice coming up in sense of a town, do you plan to keep them on your desks concentrated like now or are you going to space them out a bit later? Anyway I stay following developments in your town development
  24. Here is my first boat creation, I had it in WIP stage for couple of months already but today I got final parts shipped. It is used by Marko Bay citizens for traveling to and from island where they repair their helicopters and planes. Boat is owned by "The Footballer". You have not heard for a long time about Brickster, here it is what he does nowdays. Interior is plain but does the job for these guys.
  25. I am very happy that the holidays get cast into bricks and minifigures, specially the most important celebration of the year - at least for me. Also I like the wine glass at background
