I collect old books in my native language, starting with first Estonian language Bible from 1739 and up. I collected as well 17th century maps but sold them to buy LEGO. OK when I was young I collected stamps and money from all over the world. And being from Soviet Union occupied territories I also collected Western beer cans and cigarette boxes at age of some 10 or so. I also kind of collect DVDs as I only buy them not rent. But in overall all my money goes now to LEGO.

Funny my year and a half old son does not like to play with Duplo that we have three coffins full but wants to count my 4 year old boys' SW Clones and flies really well with SW starfighters. Thing that they do together is Gravity Games snowboarding. Everything is OK until my year and a half old becomes mad when older one teases him then he wants to dismantle minifigures heads.

I like that you have in mind the set that was my last acquisition for my year and half old boy. I was planning to use the Duplo track system and the undercarriages and rest to build System. My logic is that as I use road baseplates in my town for roads, I also do not care too much about train system infrastructure details. I will have something to show in couple of years only as then I plan to phase out Duplo and switch fully System in my household.

movie Kingdom of Heaven Ibelin and Hospitalier decals request I have seen selection of templars by TinyPiesRUs in index but did not find any de Ibelin or the cross version used on Hospitalier decals there. Could somebody of you kind people make me de Ibelin and Hospitalier decals one to be applied on purple and other on black torso. I did many times calculations and ended up in conclusion that Dacta sets just charge premium as they are not meant for private people. I would not suggest in buying one as you can get the interesting parts much cheaper off from BL.

I will have Kingdom of Heaven knights against yet to be defined enemy. So basically I have zero castle standard minifigures and I am ta the moment creating Kingdom of Heaven based minifigures.

Some small set can increase in value more as by percentage and I would say that some very expensive sets can increase in value only twice if compared to some small set that can increase in five fold for example. But it is like with any investment there is risk and return. There will be out people who will pay whatever price to get the MISB item if they really want it. I also collect books older than 50 years and younger than 300 years - if there is certain item that I want I will buy it regardless of the price (in normal person terms). Same goes for the Lego, out of Pirate line I have not yet decided which Pirate I ships to buy MISB. Still you would need to observe present youth and see what they would like to play most and then buy these sets as these will have nostalgic value for the youth in their 30s when they can afford it. I personally think that 10210 will not increase as many fold as 6243. OK finally you should buy whatever is in considerable sale and try to sell it in couple of years - that will probably make quite good money.

I can not, because of the emotional attachment I am specially mad when my sons friend who visits us kills the minifigures by taking apart head, torso, legs and mixes them. I still can not find some of the heads from last week visit

If you already started quite philosophical discussion let me add here. I sometimes feel that when minifigure is killed in a battle he should be buried and not reused. I am seriously thinking about creating huge cemetery for my minifigures. Is anybody else having the same problems?

Hello, I have been looking at your nice train creations and understand that you probably do not see a Duplo train "real" but anyway I have a huge collection of Duplo train tracks that I would not like to discard. So I am planning in long run to introduce Duplo trains to my system town as commuting solution for minifigures between my different system towns/villages located in my house at different rooms. Has anybody done something like that before? I thought that adding a layer of bricks will bring me building ground for system bricks and thats it. Way to create train solution. Please post your Duplo conversion pics if you have any.

Nice that Sports theme gets coverage here. I hope LEGO would bring back any of Sports teams as they are great play value to any family. Collection sets are nice put they make you to buy all of them and makes now to collect them kind of expensive. I hope more "real life sets" like Ferrari, NBA, NHL gets covered here. Specially I am waiting NHL coverage.
