  1. Can you explain to me why this method is analog, instead of digital? I would expect it to be digital since there the gear racks have discrete teeth, which result on discrete amounts of rotation of the interlocking gears.. Since there are 10 teeth on a 4 stud rack, it kind of resembles a punch card where every 3.2 mm of space in which a tooth resembles a logical 1, or the absence of a tooth a logical 0.
  2. Just hold a magnet next to it. If it is solid plastic, which I guess it is, the reason why it doesn't have any pinholes or connections likely is that they can't get it to its 20 um tolerances. Thick pieces like that warp like crazy.
  3. I've printed Ninjaflex 85A with a stock Ender 3. The trick was to keep the extrusion consistent, so no retracts. It came out very nice, not significantly worse then DD, except you have to go very slow, I think I've printed it at 25 mm/s.
  4. No, technic figures are approximately 1:20.
  5. So a fake engine and opening doors? At least the model becoming rear wheel drive will be accurate this time. The new fender pieces from the Bugatti Bolide do work nicely with the 56 mm tires (42111 Batmobile).
  6. Those red rubber bands sticking from the bottom. C'mon Lego.....
  7. Instead of a subway system, a tram system might be easier to implement using grooves in road plates as tracks. Fits more with the scale of Lego cities too.
  8. So what's up with the Corvette? Haven't seen any pictures yet, while all others were leaked.

Is anyone else bothered by the white pillars on the second floor being square on the edges, while round in the inside? Seems a bit off :S
  10. Nice review. For the 4-wide cars with these of wheels, I don't understand why Lego makes the wheels stick out so much. They have been doing this for years... These cars are not off-road.
  11. Lego send Deadmau5 a blue P1: Looks great
  12. I dont think its a sticker as I cant see edges like all the other stickers. The other green stickers do not match the green parts too. They wouldnt produce 2 similar molds, so the 4 inner ones are covered up with stickers.
  13. Also note a 42031 like truck, but with a different cab and superstructure. B model maybe?
  14. I've just come up with this, so I'm not 100% sure if this works: Try 4 http://brickset.com/parts/654227 having different speeds, with a driving ring in between 2 of them (like in your picture). Now connect the two driving ring axles to a differential and connect a differential to the drivetrain of the vehicle. A differential is used as it avarages the rpm of the 2 16T gears selected by the driving ring. Connecting none or only one should be neutral. For example, if the four 16T gears have speeds of -3:1, 1:1, 1:1 and 7:1, the output will be -1:1, 1:1, 2:1 or 4:1. Not ideal, but its a starting point. I can make a drawing if you dont understand the description. Alternatively, you could try to link two transmissions together in series. If the first one has 1:1 and 1:1,5 and the second 1:1 and 1:3 you'll have 4 speeds: 1:1, 1:1.5, 1:3, 1:4.5 and 1:6. You'll have to select one of each at the same time, but without a reverse (or two reverses).
  15. I've build some of the exterieur and 7L is definitely too short. Its either a 12 or 14L (or perhaps 11L, but I doubt it).
  16. Pretty sure its 3x9. Made the front in LDD and the panels cannot be 5 wide as they would stick too much into the headlights. The model is 25 studs wide.
  17. Those green panels of the 42039 that make up the bumper seems to be new 3x9 panels? Tried it in ldd, 7 are too short, while 11 seems to be too large.
  18. I'm curious about the new mudguards of the 42039. If you look closely, the front pieces are not the same as the backpieces. Its missing a vertical part in the front (at the A from IMAGE). The part itself does not seem very rigid in comparison with previous pieces and no mounting points can be seen. The ''83'' sticker is from set 41999, so the model might not be final either. The piece also resembles two of these parts joined together: http://rebrickable.com/parts/61070 .
