I dont have any idea of the brick count and it should get huge as I still have the front gate to do. Then some details inside the walls. Might have to order more bricks too, thats gonna make the wife mad :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone, it has been a lot of fun building this with my eldest son, he is nine and the chap in the pyjamas in the shot Here we are after building till 2.30am last night/this morning. Also after designing the dining hall I realised the wall needed to be expanded, its pretty much doubled in length from the first pic Hope to do more work on it today, the castle wont be ocuppied by Spartans they were just sitting on the table and were handy to use to see how things looked compared to the minifigs The Castle will have just normal soldiers from the castle line with the odd dwarf in there too :) Hopefully will get more done today with the kids @Honeybee thanks but the design or the throne goes soley to my boy Dominik, its his design and he's very proud of it and happy the king will be in it. @buddy thanks for that, though the water supply area will have to be rebuilt it will be part of the final design, it just needs to find room :)

Did some work in LDD today for a dining hall for the castle, this needs to be inside the walls, roof for it will be flat and will have to make a catapult to go on top of it Also have another 4 orders for bricks coming from bricklink that were shipped today so hopefully next week can do more building.

This sale at toyworlds with the white boba fett, is it a national thing or local? I went to my local toyworld today and they knew nothing about it??

I've gotten a few sets with missing parts over the years Before finding out that lego offered a replacement parts service the set always went back to the store. Their customer service is great, let em know what part/s you are missing and they show up roughly 2 weeks later.

All the $2 impulse sets at the local KMart were gone, they did have a couple of the toy story army men left for $11. Starwars droids battle packs were down to $10 and build a zurg $15

Must keep cash to finish castle moc must not buy new sets....................

You see all these great castles that people build and it really makes you want to have a crack at building one. So I put some orders into bricklink and started building This is where we are at at the moment Rear wall Throne room Did some more work yesterday and today Every castle needs its own water supply Throne my son designed and built We ended up redoing the throne room and put it up Where we are at the end of today Put in several more orders at bricklink so we should get to work on it more next week :)

Picked up Burrows, Hagrids hut and freeing dobby this morning from Target They also had a bunch of Trains that they didnt have last week too,atleast 6 passenger sets and 5 cargo sets I like that with the Potter sets especially Burrows the box feels full, not like some of the starwars sets of recent times where you have a box that size and it feels empty

Picked up the passenger train from Myer today, with special and myer one card came to just over $150 bargain!!

Checked my local Big W, plenty of the buzz ships for $25, the sep shuttle marked down to $30 were all gone. The big republic cruiser cant remember the set number was marked down to $100 only had 2 of that left. Still no s2 minifigs on the southside of brissie

Buzz Lightyear ship down to $35 at Kmart Logan, big Prince of Persia set down to $99 they still had a few farms left at $65 which i thought was surprising at that price I had picked up two Tie defenders and midi scale falcons still $50 and $35 respectively but in the clearance section. Not much else to report oh they had the world racers and kingdoms sets at rrp too

KMart at logan had 2 of the Woodys roundup left at $39 9 of the farms for $65 about 10 of the mid scale falcons for $35 4 tie defenders for $50 7 army men sets for $13 And a couple duple sets on sale too. I wonder how long they will wait to clear out those prince of persia sets?

Kmart at Logan today had the farm set marked down further to $65 grabbed one at that price there were 3 left and Woody's round up was down to $39 so grabbed one of that too, there were 4 left of that. Also of note the build a zurg was down to $20, build a buzz I think was $30, the midi scale falcon was $35 and the toy story army men were $13 I need a second job

This was my first lego train set and I got to say its a whole lot of fun, I didnt get the whole lego trains thing, I was mainly a space/city guy, but after getting this and turning it on, I squeeled a bit in glee when the train started to move. Then my kids came and played with it and it became even cooler, then today my dad came over when me and the kids were playing with it and it became even cooler still!! My youngest son in the middle having a ball More ppl in the carriage And finally from the same brilliant minds that bought you snakes on a plane we get Zombies on a train !! We are definately getting the Cargo train next and have already ordered more track

Rang my local one today too, no joy, though the girl did say they were restocking after the toy sale and they were expecting a new lego shipment tomorrow so will try again then
