  1. Boris hefted his mace at Misty from the front row. "Yeh, whatever you say sweetheart. Germ, stick a pin in the old cushion. The rest of you think you can deal with the walking shrubberies? Mhinak, you want to sick the dog on the windbag?" The vampire lunged at the druid, he was feeling hungry.
  2. Boris glances at the other cleric as they follow the dog. "Good to hear." Coming upon the druid the vampire rolls his eyes. "Lady now isn't really the time. Who's been harming your forest?" Boris eyed the lizard men warily, his hand curled around the shaft of his mace.
  3. Remind me again Khorne, what are you using for photo-editing?
  4. Current Signups for Quest 132: The Clans Under the Mountain Throlar Wineghilm, Level 13 Knight (Lord Duvors) Bartholomew Docken, Level 51.6 Mime (Brickdoctor) Calamity, Level 1 Mage (Scubacarrot) Tesni Hightribe, Level 39 Berserker (Peppermint_M) Johon, Level 32.75 Raider (Bricksandparts) Ellaria Arbour, Level 32.75 Alchemist (Sandy) En Sabah Nur, Level 31.25 Mystic Knight (Jebediahs)
  5. "'A triple tied knot is not easily undone.' Vanities stanza 4 line 12. Na'im will stick with the group, Mhinak. Don't let your perception of those on four legs blind you to the assassins on two."
  6. "The vines surrounding the house were caused by the druid, if he's working with the assassins, he's our best shot. Aside from him I can't see a better lead."
  7. I think there's a general sense of disillusion with PC's concerning how much equipment they should have because they're comparing themselves to higher level heroes. Granted some QM's are more generous than others and thus some PC's are a little better equipped than others, but if you look at some of the first sets of players at around Lv 15, (Quests 30-40) most of us had one or two weapons and generally one or two artifact (and not necessarily good ones) that's it.
  8. "I'd imagine a druid wouldn't have any issues communicating with a canine. Tell the dog to lead on, but if he pulls a fast one he shall meet a painful end."
  9. Boris looked at the dwarf, "He said all that? How do we know he ain't leading us into a trap set by this druid?"
  10. "The stain it is. Follow that trail."
  11. 12. +1 For more returning characters from CAT.
  13. "So we're looking for something that can fly then. Finish up outside then and we'll head off."
  14. I believe Zepher makes some excellent points. The whole issue of ether base classes is the classic Linear Warriors, Quadratic Wizards bit. In other RPG's more powerful spells are often associated with higher ether/spell slots/recharge time costs, in Heroica however, damage output doesn't correlate to cost. A 6 damage spell costs the same as a 60 damage spell, so long term ether base classes end up being just as effective if not more so than normally ranged based classes and this is primarily due to the simplistic nature of Heroica RPG. On the subject of Cannoneer, it simply is outclassed by Archmages when it comes to damage output, I think giving it a similar crafting ability to Alchemists would be a great idea.

  16. Boris paused a moment, "Wait how did whatever it was in here get out? It obviously came through the window." The vampire pointed to the broken glass above the door, "but with everybody covering an exit how did it escape?" Boris looked outside to check if the vines blocked off the entire front of the house.
  17. Boris wiped his eyes as the smoke cleared leaving a chaotic mess. The cleric rolled his eyes at the grandiosity of the Fenarian but tossed a Tonic over to him. "Anybody hit or see anything?" Boris gazed up at the window above the door trying to gauge how large of a creature could fit through it.
  18. Looking at 3-5 months, depends how active the party.
  19. Just a note, Quest 132 will be a long quest, probably my longest yet, so if you're signing up, you're in for a long haul.
  20. OoC: Not sure what we're still waiting for, if we're going to get attacked it might as well happen. Boris waits inside the house stationing himself in front of the window that Germ was watching as the demon looks out the front at the vines.
  21. Seeing the vines weren't causing any trouble, Boris moved back inside. "Whatever that noise was, shoot it. Doc, if you haven't noticed we're being surrounded. You may finish your cure, but if you're going to die right afterwards then it isn't going to be much of a help."
  22. "Doc, you about finished up in there?" Boris looked at the spiderling, "Unless you can speak to plants we're staying put." Germ looked about for a bellows to attempt blowing the smoke away.
  23. Germ holds his position, but readies his dart, "We've got company."
  24. "Hold your ground, it's only a bit of shivering timber. If it's red assassins, there isn't going to be a way around it, either they die, or we do." Boris hefted his mace waiting for the assailants to reveal themselves.
  25. "If a beast could fit, then it's best in front of the hole." Boris stands aside to let the bookcase block the whole and joins Na'im at the front door.
