Mystery on the Excelsior - Chapter Two
Hinckley replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"So someone was trying to get Alfie to combine forces, something to do with holographic technology. Maybe an artist? Maybe a zoologist? Maybe a bitch lawyer?" "Why was I the only person who questioned the NPCs??? I was too busy to follow up. Yes, I spoke facepalm." "I know, right? Thank you, Captain! " -

I'd like to put the remaining pieces of the teapot into a bag (which I always carry, in case I need to transport a greasy part from Engineering and don't dare risk getting oil on the guest's clothes, and of course I'm still wearing my gloves) and keep them on my person so that nobody will take them, because I will kick their ass if they try. I'd like to search Alfie's suitcases, please. -

@Bob "Odd, because I checked with the sensor logs (AKA Bob) and they show that I was alone in Engineering until the systems were restored, which was I told I did on my own, and that Captain Bennett joined me after that. Weird, really weird." -

"Good thinking, Captain!" "Dr. Dawson, @Tariq j would Colin be able to help us sniff out clues?" -

Worth a shot. I'd like to don gloves and grab the teapot from the crazed Emily before she smashes it. -

"Speaking of trampling evidence, if the teapot was used to kill Alfie, then Emily has just destroyed it. I thought she was being clever and continuing her earlier habit of breaking the lamps, but now I'm not so sure. I hope the remaining shards are big enough to search for fingerprints, if we ever end up with the capability to do so. I highly recommend the Captain place Mrs. Dawson under arrest." -

"While I'm checking out that frog, someone should definitely look into what that white tile is under the drawer." -

Is that the only cubby over there? If not, I'd like to search the others. I'd also like to shake the newspaper to see if there are any notes or other papers mixed in with it. Gabriella addresses the entire room. "So, should we vote to check out the kitchen or the cabins of the missing passengers? Personally, I think we should check on the missing passengers first." -

"They were not authorized. They shut down only the FTL drive, the sensors and the lights, yet were able to keep the other systems going. While I am able to search the sensor logs for certain data, it appears that some of the logs may have been manipulated. I used my classified access to try and learn more, but they covered their tracks fairly well. The terminal the saboteur used has currently been isolated. Nobody will be allowed to access it until we have the appropriate forensic tools to learn more." Gabriella slaps George, who has clearly gone into hysterics. -

"You didn't miss anything. I'm surprised more people aren't similarly curious. I know that one individual accessed the engineering room right before the FTL drive shut down. I know more, too..." -

@Bob "Ahem..." "How did you know which district she represents?" Gabriella looks like she's suddenly tasted something horrible. "Yes...besties," she forces a wan smile, "In my investigation into the FTL drive shutdown, I learned that one person perpetrated it." -

"Representative Sawyer, this article mentions an Opposition spokesperson. What Opposition? Does the organization have a name? Do they have a public list of members? Do you know Alfie or Ezra at all? Are they undercover dignitary guards?" -

Gabriella tries to call the missing passengers through the lounge's terminal. "I restored the FTL drive. We are back on course. We're not sure exactly what happened to it. It looks like someone shut it down." Gabriella would like to unplug the modem and plug it back in to see if she can get the network running again. She would also like to download the news app. Gabriella turns her attention back to Arthur. "You were in Communications? So, you have a experience working with the systems on a ship like this, eh?" Gabriella scowls at Emily. "I'm not the type to sue my employer." Gabriella considers she might be hurting the other woman's feelings and if her investigation of the incident is correct, she needs to start talking to everyone. "It's not Blue Star's fault, anyway. Whoever shut the drive down is at fault. Do you have any experience prosecuting cyber-crimes or espionage?" Gabriella considers trying to connect with Emily on a personal level too, perhaps making up for any perceived insults over Emily's awful perfume. "You know, you could be a pilot. Your tits and ass are totally in the right place. You know women make better engineers and pilots than men? They respond faster and multi-task better. You think they'd get paid more. Blue Star has equal pay rates for men and women, did you know that?" "Oh, thank you, Sophie. That's very sweet of you to be concerned. I grew up with three older brothers so bruised ribs are nothing.
