Speechless!!! Really an awesome model; in fact I think I'm gonna use the shape as a baseline for a rearrangement of the 9398 upper body (except for the front, I never like the look of the 9398, specially the back) in order to leave it at the same level as the 41999...

After my wife went to sleep (long story...), I manage to check the plate of mine: 17736. Nothing special (except for been unique!!!) but not bad either; anyway I'm willing to exchange it for the 00001 or 20000 or at least the 09398!!!

After all the suffering with TLG to get one 41999... mine arrive today :'D. The box didn't arrive in good shape (have several marks all around it, thanks to the shipping company) but at least I manage to got it!!! My wife look at the box, saw how excited I was with it... and then she said "you really like that set... more than the crane that came with it (yes; that one that you bought several years ago but you bought it again staying is not the same because this is a "bigger, newest and better" model ), right?" and confiscate it right away until the wedding anniversary; same thing with my 10227 UCS B-wing. Need to wait 3 more weeks... >: /

My 42009 arrive today!!! Now I'm between starting to build it right away or wait until the release of the ultimate instruction... maybe it will be better to kill my anxiety by starting with the ultimate version of the 8043 instead :D

Wow!!! I don't receive my 42009 yet, but after watch this video, I decide 1. wait for the final instructions for this "ultimate" version and 2. upgrade my 8043 to the ultimate version too. Thanks Jurgen for this wonderful modification :D

Unmount my WIP "Grand Emerald Night" to mount 2 more XL motors with a second IR receiver and a independent second battery... and check the status of some BL order with parts needed to finish my train.

For me, the UCS Millennium Falcon 10179. When it was at $350.00 I hesitate to buy it even at that price because the shipping costs to my country. When I decide later the same day to buy it, on both Amazon and S&H was "sold out" and almost immediately on eBay appears several ones at $1,000.00. Every time I remember what happened... I'm... I just... well... I can't... I... I... :'(

There is still hope for humanity!!! Congratulation for take the righ decision and I hope LEGO will reward you for your kindness and honesty.

That was the same problem I had when S&H decide not o use third party shipping vendor any more, something I discovered unfortunately when I ordered the 41999 during the night of july 31. Anyway, here is the update of my case: after the second cancelation because of the same shipping issue, I wrote to CS an email and they told me if I can provide a residential address they will be glad to generate a new order for me. So I spend the entire weekend looking for any relative in Miami who can help me with this. Well, one of my best friend who also use the same shipping service as me, told me that he have a friend who was able to help me as well (he help my best friend with similar issues before)... and he live 2 blocks from the shipping facility!!! So I contact CS on monday and explain the situation for the third time. They check the address and the representative told me that the new address can be used, so they create a new order. Due to all the problems I face with this purchase I opted to add the 42009 as well (I was planning to get it in September... but with all the issues with the 41999, I decide to do what I normally do with technic flagship: close my eyes, don't think about it and pass the credit card...). So at the end I finish with a order were the 41999 was in backorder and the 42009, the hot dog cart, the minimech and the Minifigure Wedding Favor Set (For my 10 years wedding anniversary) in "Customer Services" status. Now, on august 6, the status of the order change to "In Process"... but for my surprise (and pleasure as well) THE 41999 WAS "IN PROCESS" AS WELL!!! All the goodies were shipped together the next day and today the 20lbs package arrive at the my best friend's friend house!!! Anyway I'm still need to wait more and less 10 days to have them on my hands... but at least they will arrive on time for my anniversary and I will have an 41999 on my own collection!!! :D P.D.: Well, aparently it is true that the 'third time's a charm', and yes; I would like to have the plate 00001, 20000 or 09398!!! My only hope is to have the hod dog cart on the MKII crane shipping box instead of the 4x4 Limited Crawler...

Well, the 41999 is available now through "retailers" at Amazon US as well... with similar prices than those on eBay... not fair (at least for me) >: /

I can understand the policy... and maybe that's the reason why we can see already the 41999 on eBay at $300.00 right now and not at $1000.00 (meaning BTW that in the end all the extra scrutiny was useless... or I'm speculating about it...) if it's a first time purchase... but why they do it with a almost 4 years VIP account with a trend of purchase high cost technic models, with the same credit card and shipping address? And why instead of contact the customer to get the issue fixed, the just drop the order - specially with this set - and make me call back them to get a new order? And this behavior is supposed to be "for my protection"? I was able to put my order when the 41999 was "available" (they even add the hot dog car set), but 20 hours later they just cancelled the order, when the set was already "out of stock". I call back customer service and explain the situation and express my frustation about this so they generate a new order with another shipping address that I used before since the first one was banned by them. This time they add the hot dog car and the mini mech but two hours later they cancelled the order again and banned the second address as well. It was important to me to get that set, specially because I have all the technic flagships starting from 2003 and I was waiting months for it like all of you, but now I feel cheated by TLG because they denied me the opportunity to get it with the excuse of "protecting me" and at the same time with a feeling of "you are doing something illegal", leaving me with the "eBay" option which probably will be a real scam... or pay premium from BL. Ironically they also stay on the last email that they value my loyalty as a customer and they will apreciate my feedback as a LEGO fan. LEGO US told me to go to the new LEGO store in Panama... well, they has no idea what the "41999" set was... since is not in the retail catalog and they can only request what is on the catalog only. But to have an idea, they have the 9398 at $290.00 + taxes so now I know how much I will have to paid for new sets here in my own country. Worst part? This was supposed to be my 10 year wedding anniversary (september 7) gift from my wife (she decide to give me the set since she know that I want it and why), something I'm already explain to customer care, since the cancelation of the first order make impossible to get the set in time.

I'm glad that some of you are getting (or eventually will get) the 41999 set... but aparently that not gonna happend on my case: LEGO cancelled my order twice (yes... even after get a re-order by a customer care representative itself...) because of their decisition of "no longer process shipments to Freight Forwarding Services"... The funny part is that I have almos 4 years buying online from LEGO US without a problem and used the same address before (even for my May 4th purchase...) but now my shipping address is banned... >: /

Hello; my name is Carmelo and I'm a AFOL from Panama :D I came from my dark ages 8 years ago, and my favorite themes are: - Technic (specially the flagships from 2003 until now and several other advanced models) - Modular buildings (I have all of them... even the 10190 market street, which I consider part of them) - Some UCS Star Wars sets - Tiny turbo sets - Some creator / expert sets... including the Emerald Night, the Maersk train and the Horizon Express. I create my eurobrick account some time ago, but now I decide to make my formal introduction to take a more active role on this wonderful community. I got most of my sets from US... but I'm glad to inform that some weeks ago the first LEGO store on Panama start operations here, so maybe it's going to be more easy to get my sets and exclusive now!!! :D
