  1. So when Lego makes it, it is LoTR. But when fans make it, it is castle. That doesn't make sense. That's like saying when fans make PoTC mocs, it is just pirates. Or SW mocs, but is just space. -Omi
  2. You know, instead of just waiting and hoping Lego would make this theme, you guys should take the liberty yourselves and make the theme come to life with mocs and custom figs. Make this a project or something. I never sit around and hope Lego makes the themes I want. I just make my own. -Omi
  3. Not far from the actual truth. :P -Omi
  4. Jill Valentine as she appears in the first Resident Evil. Reference Enjoy! -Omi
  5. Minifig.Cat's stuff isn't custom. It is actually a toy "clone" brand similar to Lego called Sidan Toys. -Omi
  6. General Plastro and the Tan army are now screwed. :P -Omi
  7. It's not the size that counts though. -Omi
  8. While that would be great, we all know Lego would make it in lime instead. :P -Omi
  9. Spongebob or not, I'm sure it will be a cool set. :) -Omi
  10. Well the difference between that designer, and say Arealight, is that I'm sure those replicas went for a lot more doh and were more than subtle. Customized stuff is an iffy subject when it comes to toys. You can make a custom Lego figure and get away with it, but if you make a custom action figurine, you can hit a snag (Didja know custom Gundam figures and the like are illegal in Japan?). -Omi
  11. It was mainly because it kept breaking (it was a thin item) or didn't meet their standards (could have come out sloppy or something). Not everything can be printed perfect on the first try. :P -Omi
  12. With Shapeways, an item like that takes them 8-10 days for them to receive the order, print it to specifications until it is right (they had to print something of mine 3 times to make sure it was right), and then deliver. And it would cost roughly between 1-3 dollars depending on the material used as well. If you click the links to the stores above you can see such examples. -Omi
  13. Usually a white off white color works. -Omi
  14. Yes they are. By what reasoning do you say they aren't? "Shapeways is your personal fabrication service, using 3D printing. Personalized products for YOU and BY you." They also happen to be at Maker Faire showcasing their 3D printed products. I have purchased from them -Omi
  15. ummmmmm Looks pretty cheap to me. And all those prices are set for them to make profit too. -Omi
  16. They already do. Shapeways is common nowadays for customizors. -Omi
  17. Looks like they would have a bit trouble with gripping. But that is pretty cool. :) -Omi
  18. You are not the only one. That idea has been passed along to the BrickForge staff so much over the years. You must not be familiar with Arealight, Little Arms, and Christo. All 3 who happen to make and sell (legally) Lego Star Wars helmets and accessories, weapons, and minifigs respectively. -Omi
  19. Probably because that since they made Cars 1 sets, might as well make Cars 2. -Omi
  20. True, but still will be on the shelves until the stores can't get rid of them and are sent back to Lego. :P -Omi
  21. Bricklink -Omi
  22. The thing is, you think it would, but there are chances of it not selling well. Like Batman. Like Spongebob. Like Prince of Persia. And I haven't heard from Ben 10 in awhile. And how did Indy do? It will be difficult to sell something when you have Star Wars and old Harry Potter and PoTC sets right next to it. -Omi
  23. Video game weapons and accessories. Like for example: the Master Sword from Legend of Zelda. -Omi
  24. They exist, but it's cheaper and easier to just brasso off a printed tan one instead. -Omi
  25. Ummm The Prince of Persia license was strictly a movie license. No sets or figures were based on the video games, and they wouldn't have been able to do that anyways considering they didn't have the license to make anything based on the video games anyways (meaning Disney doesn't own the games, and the agreement was with Disney). Besides, it's already known Lego doesn't touch the video game market when it comes to licenses (which means no Zelda or Mario). However that was said awhile back and that may have changed, but nothing has been said that changed that. -Omi
