It's just stress on the plastic. Continuous pulling hands in and out can cause it. Especially at odd angles. -Omi

Might I suggest the green neck braces instead with the brown 3x3 dish? It's what I did with my turtle (which is still a WIP), but it gives the shell a bigger appearance. And I do like your turtles. :) -Omi

It's not a cave. It is that small inset in the hill where they were camping out that was right next to the steps. Exactly how the set is portraying it. -Omi

They are both custom. Legolas is made by Armothe of BrickForge, and Aragorn is obvious because the sword is the BrickForge Sovereign Sword and not Lego's own. -Omi

It's the quality of the plastic that Shapeways uses. It's low par compared to other plastic. Plus it's the way I colored it too. :P As for the ears, I chose not to put them on because pointy years is a pain, and I already done it a few times and I just hate doing it. -Omi
