  3. The sets I am posting right now have been done over the period of the last couple of months, I am breaking them up (there's 36 of them) because I do not have enough time to post them all at one time. 9. The instructions show the legs differently than Bricklink, but you are right about his torso. Most of my errors came from either a lack of knowledge of available color choices or from a discrepancy issue between LDD 4.0 and LDD 4.1. All of the remaining errors have been fixed! Thank you for catching them.

  11. I have gotten two sets that I thought were ugly, but turned out to look rather nice. The first would be 7680 The Twilight. I bought the set when the Lego Store had it marked off 50%, I was just as skeptical about the set, and did not expect much. However, after building it I was amazed to find that it actually looked okay, not exactly the greatest, but good enough for me to keep it together. The second set is 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle that I bought only a week ago. When the set was first released I was appalled by what I thought was random colors and an unfinished looking exterior. However, after finding it for only $44 at a store (there was a sale and the box was opened), I bought it. After building it I found that it was sleek, and that the colors did match. It has since become one of my favorite shuttles.
  12. I must say that according to me the TLG Aayla wins, I like that the TLG version prints the ears on the head piece, and that the dark brown wrap on the lekku is complete on both sides. The lips on the TLG face also look more natural than the scowling face of the Arealight version. I like the dark brown and medium blue combination on the TLG version. Medium blue looks better than sand blue, for living things (it is more of a lively color). I also like how the TLG version does the torso, as it looks good, and in my opinion better than the Arealight's one which seems slightly disproportional.
  13. 1 point- gotoAndLego A very interesting concept, well executed 1 point- vynsane I liked the sleek look of the creation 1 point- mrblue I liked the dark blue and tan of the train station along with the clean feel
  14. Before this contest had started, when I found out about Universe mode, in LDD, I decided to use it to build a design for a model which I hope to build and add to my town sometime soon. I found that my creation also met the requirements for this contest, so I decided to enter it. Presenting... The Lego Mall! This is a shot of the front of the mall. Many malls in my area have outdoor mall sections, for the front I tried to imitate that look. The tan parts of the building represent the indoor mall entrance and sidewalls. From this view you can see the back portion of the mall (the indoor mall portion) for this picture I will focus on the upper floor. This floor includes five stores including a jewlery shop, toy shop, cafe, kitchen supply shop, and a skateboarding shop. This is also a good view of the food court on the lower level. This picture shows the bottom floor, which includes a food court, outdoor supply shop, clothes shop, and a candy store, along with a spiral staircase. More pictures can be found in my bricklink folder The LFX file is here

    City 2010

I'm happy to see more pictures of that set. It looks like that if the price is 33 euros, then it will probably be about $40-$50 US. That makes it a good deal (as far a city sets go). I'm still in shock over the idea that Lego actually made a city house.
  17. 1 point- Inconspicuous 1 point- greenskull139 1 point- pedro Everyone had great market stall ideas, this one was a hard choice.
  18. 2 points- pedro 1 point- brickzone I liked the cloud city rendition in a persian-type setting, and the redo of the Camouflaged outpost in persian desert setting was great too. There were so many nice entries to chose from.
  19. 2 points- pedro 1 point- Oky Wan Kenobi I really liked the chariot racing idea and how it was executed. All of the colors looked so great together. Oky Wan Kenobi's ship was good too...
  20. Thank you for a very detailed review of this set. I agree that the train engine is one of the best that has been seen in quite a few years. However, I was disappointed to learn that the cargo containers from the City Harbor do not work well on the train, as they are 2 studs too short. Since I recently made a bunch of recolored 3117 small cars I feel that I do not really need the cars included as "freight" in this train. I very much agree that the truck could use a bunch of work to make it look better, and that it seems to be just a "thrown together" addition. So, due to the fact that I have a still working (and very useful) BNSF in my city acting as a cargo train, I do not feel the need to get this set. Thanks again however, for the great review that has helped convice me of my standing about this set.
  21. Ya, that is probably what it will do , now that I look at the portal the only logical answer is for the whole structure with the trans-blue pieces to flip under the structure like Bfahome said. I am quite sure that the trans-blue pieces won't spin around in a circle, there is no gearing for that.
  22. The Red key's place on the bottom of the portal most likely operates the portal, from this picture I can see two things: 1) The orange, green, yellow, and blue key holders are just for decoration, which would explain why one operating the portal is not on the actual ring around the portal, room for a mechanism to "open" the portal is not available on the ring, it has to be on the area before the portal. 2) The trans-blue 1x6 slopes are connected to 1x2 bricks with axle holes, which are in turn attached to a technic frame which gives a high possibility of the trans-blue slopes turning to "open" the portal I didn't see anyone pointing this out yet, so I figured I would add my two cents worth on the Portal to Atlantis -Penguinz
  23. If you have a spot left, I would like to play!
  24. I had to vote for 10199 Winter Toy Shop, because of the large amount of minifigures and accessories that you get. The building is of superb quality and the tree looks very good too. However it was a close first, with the 7641 in a close second.
  25. I am going to BrickCon '09 too! However I am just going on one of the public viewing days. So, no MOC's to show.
