Wildmen? Sounds good, but you're missing the real clue in this picture. Look in the sky, right in the background, CLOUDS!!!! Lego must be bringing out a new 'Sky' theme, maybe with rain and wind as other factions! This is gonna be sooooo cool. Wildmen would be cool, I'd certainly collect the Castle sets if they were the crownies' enemy. I'm not a fan of the trolls or skellies and have only bought a couple of castle sets as parts packs. Wow, that's the best minifig scale wheelchair i've seen. It's certainly very realistic. I work at a special school and a lot of the kids are in wheelchairs. I like the way it can swap between powered and manual. Laurie

Mark, is this the Brickish member you're referring to? It's this Brickshelf Gallery and yours that I look to for inspiration for my own British Train MOCs Laurie

I voted for Hinckley for 3 reasons: 1. He offered me 5 bucks; 2. He told us all to shut up in the first paragraph, I like that in a post; 3. I could see his model as a Classic Town set and I really like the design for the buldings. Laurie

The date given on the Lego S@H site is the delivery date for a new order. Your order from way back when shouldn't take that long. Hopefully it will still ship around the 2nd June or perhaps a little later. Try ringing Lego with your order number, they should be able to track its progress for you and give you a revised delivery date. Laurie

Depending on the scale of the bus, could you use the hinge formed by these 2 pieces to make a concertina? It would need quite a gap between the 2 portions of the bus but would be strong with only a small structural turning hinge required. Laurie

I tend to mod my sets to right hand drive and sometimes add equipment etc. With Star Wars sets I used to mod them all to be more realistic, getting rid of the front openeing hatches on the TIE, adding more realistic landing gear on the X-wing etc. But that was back in 99/00 and i don't really buy SW any more. I usually mod things to make them more realistic, but I try to keep Lego's main design in place Laurie

How about a pair of black walls made with the ridged bricks to give a concertina effect? these walls would be pivoted on attachment to the front part of the bus but allowed to slide in and out of the rear portion when turning. If the two parts of the bus are secured by pivots at the top and bottom then it shouldn't matter if one end isn't fixed. This wouldn't give a true concertina and would require space in the rear portion of the bus for the walls to move in and out but it would at least leave the corridor open. I guess it would need at least an 8 wide vehicle to look any good though. It depends whether your main aim is the appearance of a concertina or a working joint that minifigs can pass through. Laurie

This is my favourite of the My Own Train series. I even built clones of it in white and red. I've always admired its simple design. They're all pretty awesome though. I hope Lego brings out more single wagons, they're great for expanding a railway without cashing out for a whole new train. Laurie

Fantastic review, alex. I've wanted this set ever since I got into Lego in 1992. We got the Load 'n' Haul Railroad instead. I guess if I'd got the Metroliner I'd be lamenting the fact I wanted the Load 'n' Haul right now I'd like to get the Metroliner sometime soon, I got the 10002 clubcar when it was rereleased alongside 10001. So a wonderful review of a great set. I'm very jealous you have it Laurie

Great work Mark. I love your lettering and those eyes are just perfect on Scruffey. Fantastic attention to detail throughout. I've been looking through you trains on brickshelf and they're all absolutely fantastic. I'm very jealous Laurie

Great entry, gotta love that colour scheme. Only problem with a squiddy invasion is there's a Star Wars species they don't stand a chance against; Ewoks! The little blighters are just too short, the squiddies with their upward vision will never see them! Laurie

Ooops! don't try it, don't try it!

But can it fire with that big ole head in the way? Nice review of a truely original Lego space set Laurie

I'm pretty sure the adapter for the 9V controller is 10v 600mA, you could try that. Don't blame me if it goes wrong though Laurie

I know we're not voting yet, but this has to be my favourite entry. It perfectly conveys the Space Skulls theme, but set in the Star Wars Universe. Plus the light up eyes and the detail with those chainsaw blades! drool.... that's just damn fine building! Laurie

I'm loving this Satan in the Shadows Storyline KDog. I never know what's gonna happen next. Laurie

Fantastic review, I've always wanted this set but now I want it even more! I just need some of that money stuff Lego seem so obsessed with! Laurie

Very nice MOC AS, but do you have a pic of the sort of mountain tram it's based on? Or is it all from your imagination? I like the colours, with the 'sky blue and chocolate brown' and the yellow detail. Lovely yellow. Does it have train wheels under those skirts? Laurie

Great review, I love this little tow truck. The only problem i find is that it's a bit limited on what it can actually tow. A lot of the newer cars with SNOT fronts don't have anywhere that's good for hooking onto. Ironically this includes the new sports car that comes with the emergency phone! Laurie

Mmmm, that's beautiful and yellow. If I had that many yellow bricks I'd fill the bath with them and dive right in. God, I love yellow. Sorry about that, forgot where i was for a minute. That's a fantastic building,Matija. A wonderful balance of size and detail. Fantastic. And so yellow..... drool Laurie

I'm just a lonely Islander, well I'll be anything really, as long as I get to wear a big red mask! Laurie

The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy
SeaKing61 replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
I'd like to join the academy if there's space for one more Are instructions really a must cos I'd love to review this: I'm sure I could find something with a slightly large piece count Laurie -
Thanks alex12 and Raphy I appreciate the add to the index, Shadows. I normally stick to my town and trains but when I saw that 8-wide creator car I couldn't resist modifying it for Fabuland. Originally it was just gonna be the sports car from the set with enough space to stick a figure in, but in the end I had to do it properly. There's just enough room for 2, as long as they don't intend to move their arms Hopefully I'll be making some more Fabuland MOCs,I love the extra detail you can get into this scale. I was considering a nice new black and white Cop Cruiser for my CopMike fig,but I'm sorting my bricks at the moment so it'll have to wait. Blue Bard, I'm not a fan of 8-wide either! My Lego city cars and trucks are mainly 4-wide with the occasional 6-wide sneaking in. This is modified from a creator set, which was the perfect scale for Fabuland. Thanks everyone, Laurie

Review 7078 King’s Battle Chariot
SeaKing61 replied to Cardinal Brick's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I just feel sorry for that poor horse. I think the problem with this set is the chariot isn't a very mediaeval style and it's too big for one horse. Make it smaller and add a roman legionary or two and we'd be buying these in droves! Maybe lego is starting a new Roman theme and the chariot designs got mixed up somewhere Laurie
