Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return - Hovels
Alfadas replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Torald shakes his head in disbelieve. No way. Another Nord? Wow. Torald gives the other Nord a big hug. Haldor. Hmm. Can't say I've heard of him. Torald then gets a bit silent. As I've been banished from my tribe, for some stupid reason, I'm not allowed to name them. Out of fear of retribution or something. The tribe herbalist had cast a curse on me. You probably know the deal. Speak their name, die a slow and horrible death. Even though our herbalist was a bit, how to say this, crazy in the head, I'm not testing it out. Anyway. That bar sounds lovely. It's been a while since I had a proper mead. Chose to sober up for this whole ordeal. And those, carnal delights, sound wonderful. When this is over, I will stop by, share some war stories. Faerie fricassee? Fancy name for fairies. Anyway, doesn't matter. Shame they died... By the way, do you know anything about an Oracle? We traced her steppes through the portal and then we stumbled upon you. -

Winged corpses? What? Torald whispers. What do we do? Who is that? -

You are right. Not from around here. I was once part of a tribe, in the far north. Pretty cold up there, which explains the lack of clothing I suppose. Torald gestures at his, admittedly, quite impressive muscles, which are out for everyone to see. You know, it's just so warm around here, even now, in the winter. But where are you from? You said it yourself, you haven't been in the Hall much, where have you been? -

Torald follows the others, keeping an eye out for anything out of order in this forest. -

It's a spooky forest, is all. Well, we could try to make sense out of these tracks scattered around everywhere. Maybe one set of these footprints belongs to the Oracle? Torald says, studying the tracks, hoping to get some sort of information out of it. -

feeling the temperature drop, Torald shivers. He looks behind him to see if the portal is still there or if they are stranded here. -

Torald readies his weapon, straightens his back and marches through the portal. -

A portal, interesting. Might as well use it, right? -

No one blames you, you couldn't have known that they would explode and burn us all. Torald mumbles something under his breath that sounds like stupid shrooms. stupid shrooms and their burning You can test them, just wait till I'm like a mile and a half away before you do. That doesn't look save at all. -

Well, now that the tunnel is collapsed, where do we go? Torald says, dusting himself off. Sküld, can you heal yourself? -

Sküld heals herself, back row. Torald attacks spore cluster, front row -

Sküld heals herself, backrow. (she can hardly survive another round, otherwise she would have healed Germ, sorry) Torald attacks Summon A, front row. (I assume that the doomed effect goes away when we are victorious, before the 3 turns are played?) -
Damn. Sorry to hear that. Take all the time you need.

Whoops, didn't read correctly. Didn't realize I controlled Sküld. Anyway Sküld heals whoever gets damaged, back row, if no-one gets damaged, she does nothing, back row. -

Torald downs a Mead (free item use first round of battle), swaps his weapon for Torangu's Trident and proceeds to Attack Rot Summon A, front row. I didn't remember Torald having the Torangu's trident, dammit... if a very kind QM would kindly swap the Trident for the Keen Axe, I would be very grateful -

Yeah. I agree. But I kinda also want to know what happened here. Fighting plants, Torald shivers. He thinks for a moment. I agree with Petaldan, let's get the hell out of here. This place is rotten and I don't think we are going to find anything useful here, not after so long a time. -

What happened here? Torald wonders for the Old Gods know how many times. Trying not to breathe any of the spores, Torald tries to peak over the edge of the hole. -

No bodies. Fhew. That's a relief. But that doesn't explain this horrific smell... Torald looks around, trying to find the source of the horrid smell. -

Ooh this ain't good. Torald looks around trying to see bodies, hopefully not belonging to the Oracle. -
Yeah, I really need to get some of those Raptors. They are pretty cool! And that ancient protector and flying machine are very nice too! Previous MOC was just a baseplate with a huge rockwall on it. Nothing special as you can see

So, my first Diorama turned out a big failure. I had too many ideas for too small a space. I took the entire thing apart (wasn't too much work, just a bit of rock work). Now I want to build something again but I'm afraid I'm going to run in to the same problem. Too many ideas for too small a space. Anyway. I'm trying to make a World of Warcraft inspired moc, not too big. 2x3 48x48 baseplates is the maximum. Preferably Horde. So, if any of you have cool ideas, which are not too challenging to make (so no 1 on 1 replica of Ogrimmar or something) but just a cool looking scene. In the future, if this moc works well, I might do more WoW based stuff, maybe even some Alliance. The reason why I want to make something from WoW, is that I love the game (even though I only played it for the last 2 months orso) and looking on Google not a lot of WoW mocs came up. Anyway, thanks in advance!

Very nice! The base is very cool looking, and the overall look of the Inn looks very stylish.

Uhm, I think you mistake us. We are your party members, Demon. And we are trying to find the Oracle, so maybe make yourself useful instead of trying to kill us. Unsurprisingly, no answer. O well. Torald looks in awe as Ezeran's vines melt away in the blue fire. He listens to the riddle or whatever it is and comes up with nothing. -
Okay, thanks
