Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return
Alfadas replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Torald drinks one of his Grand Tonics, which should bring his ether back to full. -

Torald finishes his mug of ale in one big gulp. Feeling his barbarian side take over, he lets out a guttural scream as he pats Petaldan en Ezeran on the shoulder, with a look of slight worry and bestial rage. FIGHT FOR VICTORY OR DIE HEROICALLY!!! With that, Torald grabs his trident and follows Atramor and the others. -
What could help too, is posting GoH stuff on the front page. Yes, some stuff ends up there, but I haven't seen this thread on the front page. And as it is the start of Book lll, this is the perfect moment to post it there. That way, new people will get exited for it. When we post it on the frontpage when the book has started, more people might be inclined to say "nah, they already started" or something.

Castle themes seem to be not that popular with the children these days, and neither are pirate themes. Yeah we got a few lines semi-recently, but those lines came with less and less sets and figures every wave... I think children like the Nexo knight stuff more, you know, big over the top machines and action features. And ofcourse the Ninjago line that has been running for, what, 7 years now, which is also getting ever bigger and over the top. That's what most children want unfortunately. Look at the castle sets from the '80s (im from '95 so it's waaay before my time), they wouldn't sell today. Yes you get a nice amount of figures, pretty much a small army in every set. But action features? None. But I love them. And Fantasy Era, pretty much the most popular Castle line. Kingdoms after that was pretty damned good too. And the most recent didn't even get a name, just Castle. But halve the sets, if not less, then Kingdoms. The "bad guys" were pretty cool, black armor with red works really well, imo. But I miss the Viking/Fantasy Era lines and I don't have high hopes for those returning in any way shape or form... This. When I joined, what, 5 years ago, I had my sets. That's it. It took a long time to get more proper bricks for Historical builds. And now, 5 years later I still don't feel like I'm good on bricks... But anyway, this is a forum post about GoH book lll, which is very exiting, so let's not clog this thread up with "what if-s"...

Torald, trying to keep out of it, to let the more experienced members of Heroica do the strategic bits, let's out an agreeing sound. Aye, stick together. Sounds a lot safer. -
I agree that would be very cool indeed. But I fear the worst... Maybe if we all put our MOCs on Lego Ideas, maybe it will send a message?

I'll hear where I'm needed. I have some magic capabilities. Not sure where I can be of most use. -
One small set would cost us a small fortune, let alone a big one... Would be very cool though

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Alfadas replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Wow. Those are all, no exceptions, amazing builds. Makes me proud to be a small part of the Mitgardian power! And ofcourse, I will be staying in Mitgardia for book 3. Really need to spend some time away from the PC (damn you World of Warcraft, why do you take so much of my time... 1 more quest, I promise. Boom, 3 hours have gone by) and build more MOCs. -

I believe I said something among those lines myself when I came back to consciousness. So I know. Not happy with it but the safety of many goes for the life of one. -
Oh man how did I miss this? Well, still sort of on time but almost a month later :/ wow. I will still be fighting for the glory of Mitgardia, ofcourse, still with Alfadas Mandredson. Pic soon (tm)

Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return
Alfadas replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Torald, thanks. And thanks for the compliment, but I don't think the book will like it very much. When I picked it up, I was unconscious for I don't know how long. We don't have the time to get a powerful mage being useless unconscious while we are trying to get to an even more powerful Demon. So, for now I'll keep it on me. When the time comes to use it, we will decide, together, as a group, what to do with it. Okay? Good. Thanks, Throlar. Though cutting of hands might be a bit too rigorous. -

Seeing everyone rather interested in the Book and Arthur acting quite strange, Torald decides it's better, for now, to put the Book away again. I am also not quite sure of the significance of this book, but I am aware that it has some powers of it's own. Anyway, if people who know more about this want to guide me into using this Book properly, I'd most likely oblige. -

Pandamonicon? This book right here? Careful, don't touch it. Torald shows the book, carefully making sure no body touches it. -

Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return - Hovels
Alfadas replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Even though Hoke can be a bit difficult to deal with at times, he is quite powerful... I'd say let's stay together for now and join up with them as soon as possible. Torald turns to his original party. I think we don't have much more to do, right? Our mission was to get the Oracle. We got her. Or am I a bit dumb again and forgot something? -

Torald smiles as he sees a few more heroes join the already quite large party. Sorry I didn't rush to aid you, we, or at least I am, are quite on edge, loads of weird and bad things going on. Anyway, glad to see you. -

Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return - Hovels
Alfadas replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Torald tries to bow again, failing a bit less miserably this time around. We've had some interesting things too. But most importantly, we did find the Oracle. So that's good. Also, the Oracle has no idea what is going on. She was locked in a magic cage thingy that we opened by solving a puzzle. Our boy wonder over here solved most of it. Anyway the answer to the puzzle was Rozier the Seductive, a very bad Demon. Not so good. No idea what or even if the demon is involved in all of this but it ain't good. -

Alfadas replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Torald looks quite confused at the newcomers. He recognizes some folks from previous missions, some from the Hall. Some are completely new to him. He feels a slap on his back. Still a bit on edge he jumps around, hand on his weapon. Ooh, hey Lind. Good to see you again. Torald turns to the rest. Most of you probably know me form the Hall or previous expeditions, but for those who don't, Torald Waruelf, at your service. He tries to make a fancy bow but somehow manages to mess even that up. Now then, what are you guys doing down here? Something we might be able to help you with? -

Torald Waruelf, definitely not the brains of this group. Still at your service. Torald bows.
