  1. treebeard, well the ent looks a lot bigger
  2. Thanks for the great review are the green spacemen the same green as Galaxy Squad?
  3. I think this is a great question, if the license is ending and LOTR is not selling well then it would be simple for lego to end LOTR but if they have the license for some time still would it sell better then a normal castle line. That is a good question but then number of times we have been told the same thing must mean something Do you think lego care about how a line is viewed by us, by this I mean lego might consider the hobbit line to be unsuccessful because it didn't sell well but we (afol) might consider it a good line because it coved everything we wanted. Do you think Lego care that the LOTR line is unfinished or do they just care how well it sells? I still think a D2C LOTR set could do really well what ever its size
  4. ToysNBricks.com has a review up of the exo suit and brickset have part one of a two part review up too
  5. I think most if not all d2c sets are more for afol
  6. Yeah I had the same thought too that if they can't have barrels in the color they wanted why not change the color of parts either side so that the barrels dont stand out Anyone seen edge of tomorrow, a few exo suits in that
  7. Cuusoo/ideas gets less color changes than other sets because they make and sell less than normal lines, but if Lego made more and sold them in more stores which did happen with BttF and Ghostbusters then they could have more color changers but I think this will sadly be more like the rover and that sold out are they making more?
  8. that reminds me of my stress bull
  9. So the exo suit might only get a single production run, why lego why. This will also be the reason we could not have the parts in there best color because lego will have limmits based on how many they will sell. The fact that it might sell out will mean it is even more likly too as people buy them for investment and becuase they dont want to miss out.
  10. Yes it is harder to get all the figs we need in a d2c but we have seen some (star wars) d2c that have a lot of figs and a gondor d2c could cover a lot of those me are missing I also think in terms of sets LOTR is missing more imporntant sceens which have been listed a lot of times now. One more LOTR wave would be great but if not a d2c would be good. If we did get a d2c for the hobbit I am not even sure what it would be that has not already been covered?
  11. tomorrow on lego.co.uk if there are not sold out
  12. Castle is good and lotr is better and this will be the only time we can see them so really hope for one more wave
  13. OFOL - love it moonbase, Moonbase, MOONBASE! - LOVE IT, want to see it happen
  14. I think one of the points was that the hobbit sets have given us a well rounded set of figs and have covered most of the movies so fans of the hobbit can be happy with what they have myself included but we have not got that for LOTR which is sad. So as a fan of both I would like to see a D2C for LOTR so that I would have a well rounded middle earth.
  15. I would be more likely to get the whole set then pay £20 for one fig, I do like black so......... I really hope it doesn't come with anything good
  16. I want to know what it cost too, the set is from here in the UK but still we only get a US price, hoping for £29.99
  17. I am a bit of both, it just seems a waste thinking of the sets we could have got, I think there are a lot of sets that would have been at the top of people list that have not been made. It all went a bit odd after wave one
  18. Well I don't get figs on bricklink I wouldn't stop if I ever started and I have a £10 limit on exclusive minifigure polybags, I think this one would go well over my £10 limit if there was only 2 figs in a £200 set
  19. I wonder if someone at lego is reading all this tumbler talk and thinking maybe we don't need to make so many after all, maybe we should number them that always makes it sell
  20. I do think space has lost its way a bit, classic space could give lego what they need
  21. so is sunlight a problem or only direct sunlight?
  22. but at the same time its not fair to blame LOTR for its own poor sales as odd as that sounds, wave 1 was good but 2 was a bit random and a bit so so, there were so many sets that would have sold like crazy and still could edit: sorry thought I was in LOTR topic
  23. I wonder if they showed us the barrels first as they knew they were the weak part, if we had seen it all at once that's all we would be talking about it but we got our hate for them out the way and the rest of the set is good. They did this with back to the future by showing us the car first which was the weak part then we saw the figs. I agree that roll cage with the guns was the weak part of the original design and I like the new one much better and the way it covers the whole of the spaceman
  24. Me too and it might end my need to get every batman suit
  25. couldn't agree more
