Sandy, is there any particular reason the Fields Quest hasn't been updated in a while? We could always go back to somewhere we've been if you don't feel like taking new pictures.

"Either is acceptable; one will most likely net us better consumables, while the other we can defeat more quickly." -

"Okay, it seems we have decided to go to a previous area to train ourselves. I will follow wherever Docken decides to go." -

"As it stands now, no I don't believe it's needed. If we were to battle lower level enemies so I could reach lv. 20 and equip three artifacts it may prove useful, but otherwise I need the added protection of my heavy armor." -
Not to get all political, but this debate seems strangely familiar to the one the Congress is having right now about taxing the rich more. I can see both sides of the coin, but in my opinion if I was rich I wouldn't mind getting taxed a bit more (i.e. less loot). Like I said, if I was Party Leader I would take the amount of Gold stolen into consideration, but it certainly wouldn't be the main point I base my decision off of. When you get that rich in one round, though, you shouldn't complain when you get slightly less loot unless you're a greedy person with no consideration for the poor people beneath you.

OOC: aka you're afraid your wand might be gone. I'm fine going one more round to see how are luck is, assuming there is no permutation where Docken can get knocked out. You have a bedroll, right K-nut? So when you get knocked out you can get your health back. -
Having gotten past my rage (and having thought it out a bit), the current way of doing free hits doesn't affect the people with little to no SP, so I guess it isn't fatally flawed. However, I still think it dissuades people from going after high SP when it is so easily countered by two high leveled free hits. 20SP with two hits doing 30 damage each would sustain 40 damage instead of 20 from the front row (assumed with such a high SP) which is significant. And yeah, maybe they should be tweaked if they aren't always pluses (shield rolls).
-
It may be balanced for Docken, but I don't see how it's balanced for the other players without as much SP; being knocked out by free hits in one round with full health doesn't seem fair (in Dyric's case). And rolling a shield shouldn't be considered a curse in any situation, in my opinion.
-
Ugh, free hits are added all together and then halved/SP taken into account? Is that what the big debate was about 50 pages ago? I thought each free hit was calculated separately, that puts a dent into my plan. Doesn't it make more literal sense for each free hit to be calculated on its own, it's not like all the enemies are attacking at exactly the same time.

"Alright friends, we must decide what to do at this crossroads in the battle. My vote goes to continue battling, at least for now. My plan would require Docken going first, targeting the Phoenix, then either myself or Althior. I would target the Angry Crab while Althior aims a spell at the Magic Carp, hopefully defeating it and giving us one less enemy to worry about next round. Finally, Dyric would use a Remedy on me. Assuming everything goes to plan, no one will die from the free hits. However, I am less certain if we can survive if bad luck befalls us again. The most important thing is to keep Docken alive in case of emergency, and under this plan he would not receive damage from free hits." OOC: Any holes in my master plan? -
Would a skeleton decoy be useful here?
-
I'm too lazy to go through the permutations, but I think we can do this without the smoke bomb (at least for now). As long as I get remedied and we KO something ASAP we should be fine.....right?

Xander aims an attack at Rainbow Frog B from the back row. -
The angry crab should have been poisoned, right Sandy? Also, if/when the crabs use their special, do they keep their level/hp when they convert or do they copy the stats from the other one?
-
Meh, you guys can fight over the wand; I call dibs on the drop from the guardian boss though.

Xander follows through on Docken's plan, attacking the angry crab from the back row. -
I wake up to like 10 posts of Brickdoctor freaking out on the unlimited quest thread. Can't one or two of us just use a skeleton decoy?

"Althior, stop thinking about material items and focus on the Phoenix! We are going to switch targets this round," Xander says as he attacks Frog B from the back row. -

"Docken, I already favor Aquatic enemies; do you think I should target the frog?" -
If there was one thing I learned living in Michigan for two years for grad school, it was that I hated shoveling snow and scraping it off my car each morning. But hey, at least it's a good back workout Endgame!

That's what I figured, Zepher. Do you guys think bombs should be modified, or at least more powerful ones introduced? With enemies with 1000+ hp being pretty common now, bombs almost seem useless or at the very least insignificant in almost every battle.
-
Does using a bomb prevent free hits for the round?

Xander accepts the items from Docken as they make their way to the Sanctuary. Once there, Xander waits for the opportune time before walking up to the Dyric. "I believe this is yours," he says as he hands the Loaded Die back to Dyric with a nod of thankfulness. Situating himself in a small clearing, Xander leans against a large rock and begins to apply Venom to each of his arrows; swift and methodical, he knew there would be little time for rest before the party would face even stronger foes in the field. No sooner had he finished applying the poison, Xander re-equips his Heavy Armor and stretches slightly while standing up. It felt heavier than usual, but he was now ready for battle. -
