  1. Good stuff! Where's you manage that? I got 3 of them just before they sold out at K-mart for $50 or something but later sold them to a rising market for money towards some Star Wars stuff Hey Epic_red! Good to see you finally joined up! Hope you enjoy it here Just so you all know He's a mate of mine so you'd all better be nice
  2. Yeah my dad's had a few good book buy's there too, but I was refering to the Lego
  3. Yeah, Exactly. They make it look fairly reasonable most of the time, but it's really a joke. $330 for the AT-AT? Far out, that's totally mis-leading, saying that that's RRP? That's totally mis-leading and wrong IMO They really need to get that site on track before it falls apart. Has anyone ever actully ended up with a good deal from them?
  4. Oh my goodness Thanks heaps for those Pics of the Gungans! Sheesh, My bank is scared of them hitting the shelves Absolutely lovely... and 10 Droids? Thats what I call an army builder!
  5. G'day Toye More Kiwi's is always nice around here I'm also 16, but as other's have stated, age doesn't really matter, and if it did, well you're still young compred to some of the older folks around here That's a nice haul you've got yoursef there. I do agree with David though, You won't regret buying some of the bigger sets - the are usually worth it. If you see the Medieval Market Vllage anywhere, Make sure you buy it. You'll never regret it. One of the best sets ever made, if you're lucky enough to still find it availible - It's great Vaulue too at only $200 Welcome to the forums and I hope to see you 'round!
  6. Oh my goodness. You see, It's stuff like this that just puts me off Lego. It's SO big! So Amazing! The inspiration from it blows my little head's creativity out into nothing, and I'm just left for awe for MOC's like this. Sheesh, I don't want to know how much that thing must be worth... HOWEVER, None the less, that is incredible! Lovely creation, great creativity and great work!
  7. I keep looking at this, but keep forgetting to post! Well, this is an incredible MOC! It's one of those ships that's just'around' but doesn't get the spotlight so much, But you've pulled it off amazingly! Congrats on the outcome mate, it looks perfect... I want one Very well done!
  8. Wow, That's incredible The only let down is the use of the Old Naboo fighter - the new one is far superior. But none the less, your MOC in amazing! I really should attempt something like this some day, but I always fear it'll look terrible when compared to MOC's like this. Well done, this is excellent!
  9. What's this in relation to exactly?
  10. Ohh thanks for the heads up. I'll be happy when they do that for POP Toystory doesn't exactly have good part packs though, and all the sets are insanely overpriced anyway. May have to pick up a few army men though, at $11 a pop it's a bargain!
  11. Wow that was a huge help, thanks heaps! I'll definately be having a a look at RobotC after reading that. Cheers
  12. Heya guys. I've been quite keen on robotics for quite a few years, I remember in the early 2000's I was stoked to get an RCX, which kicked off a big passsion for Robotics and programming. I Do quite a lot of robotics, Entering compititions around the place, teachning little kids basics during the holidays and so on. Last year, probably around 13 months ago, I got my first NXT. I've done a lot with it, and made all sorts of robots with it. But I have a problem: NXT-G's speed (possibly the firmware?) is incedably slow. I've been used to Robolab for the last 5 years, and coming to NXT-G was a bit scary in itself, but the more I use it, the more it simply cannot stay up-to-speed with what I need it to do. It's quite dissapointing. So As of recently, I've gone back to Robolab, only to find another problem: Extra sensors don't work in Robolab. I currently own a Mindsensors lineleader and a hitechnic Gyro, but neither will work in Robolab, which is very dissapointing. NXT-G is very slow prosessing, but robolab, while being incredably nice and fast, cannot take the custom sensors. So I'm wondering, Has anyone here used NXC or Robot-C for NXT? Do they have better processing speeds? Can they take custom sensors? Would love some input with this, becuse I'm getting very fed up with the fact I have to choose between good sensory and decent speed. Thanks guys
  13. Brung over from the 2011 sets topic: Well, If it were $55US, then It would probably be $110-120 in NZ, unfortunately. It's just the way things are - exchange rates have no meaning in the world of lego. However, Lucky for you, Apparently it'll be $40US Which means Probably $80-90NZ, but that is still a lot really
  14. I'll reply to this over in the SW Pricing topic Where price talk is not 'in the way' so to speak
  15. That could be good, But I wouldn't want lego to start overdoing UCS sets either, I like their specialness If you were to say that, one could question Vader's humanity 'He's more machine now, than man' -Ben/Obi-wan After -all, Grevious has a human heart, does he not? Not that any of that actully matters
  16. Stupid lazy brain didn't realize the irony... Quiet you! OK, so you may have a point, but hey, It's a UCS, It's a first in it's own way... By the look of the posts following my last, It seems quite a few people disagree... Intresting, Ah well, Less lego for me to have to buy
  17. Oh.. Intresting. Obviously lego isn't getting the message people don't really like Jedi Star fighters We always get the few who want a Fighter for every character, But I for one have been noticing that at least in NZ, They aren't actully selling well, At all Oh well, they've made their decision I guess. It looks intresting. Just another milking of the ability to produce any ship they want and claim It's star wars related (and NO I do not want some kid coming along and telling me that CW is technically Cannon, Please - I don't care Thanks ) Nevermind, I'll just hope for more beautiful UCS sets like this year However, I am loving the naboo set too...
  18. Yay! Pictures! Very nice, a very large variety in builds, I see. Intrestingly enough, I've recently come accross a similar thing in Auckland... AuckLTG
  19. How do you know? Unless there's something missing from the title or post, This seems like another random topic needlessly getting attention and wasting forum space But It may well be a genuine mis-post so I'll just hope it gets cleared up soon
  20. Is it just a normal blue lightsaber blade? Feel free to just take it from my AT-TE if you haven't sent it yet, I've got plenty of spares of those - I won't miss it
  21. Woah those pics are HUGE If you'd care to resize them , That'd be quite nice of you
  22. I've been avoiding the Star Wars forum a little bit recently, due to the too-many-thousands of posts every day to keep track of, But I this set! Nice to see that they've done a 'normal' PT UCS Definately getting it, I think they've done it very nicely
  23. Well it is UCS, what do you expect? (Okay, don't bring up 10026... :tounge: ) I don't actully own 10019. It's a set I've wanted for a very long time, and never quite got my hands on. My eye is always out for that beauty, I just don't want to break the bank. Heck, I still need to be saving for 10212 and 10215! BTW, where has this 'USC' term originated from? As far as I know, It's supposed to Ultimate Collector's Series
  24. Don't usually like to double post, but I've intresting come across this place Some of you may know more about this, but I've certainly never heard about it until now!
  25. My NXT Gyro sensor arrived today Hitechnic was going to charge me $55 plus an insane $35 postage So I got it off eBay instead for $60 plus a nice little $5 postage Can't wait to try it, but my NXT is currently tied up in a Compitition Robot I can't destroy until early December..
