  1. I have a few NCIS figures. I need to get around to posting those some time. Tomorrow perhaps... Are you sure? Personally, I would go with just a regular black suit/black vest, as seen in this picture: A Lando head would also look good here.
  2. I love this new program!!! Thanks, LEGO! I don't know if anyone's found this piece yet: Could we be getting this new cap anytime soon?
  3. I'm pretty sure it uses the same peg as the princess crown, so there are two hair pieces out that the hat would fit into, but they're both female hair pieces, so you probably wouldn't want that hat on either of those .
  4. WANT!!!! I hope one of the events that they would give these away at is Brickworld. I was thinking about going this year. That purple one is just awesome! I would love to use that armor or the pink one for a female mando. EDIT: Wait, April Fools Day is only 2 1/2 hours away where I live. These are just white mandos recolored in photoshop, aren't they. That's why they don't match the lego colors exactly. I HATE YOU, SIEGFRIED!!!!! YOU HAVE EXCITED ME FOR NOTHING!!! ( )
  5. I like this AT-AT better, actually. It's much more realistic compared to the motorized one. It captures the shape of it perfectly, see? LINK It's about the same size, too, if you count the studs. Each part of the leg is still 8 studs high, just like the last one, only they didn't use a larger dish at the top of the leg connecting it to the body, which I believe looks more accurate. As for everyone complaining about another Hoth Han, he doesn't have on the usual coat like in previous sets. The toyfair book showed us that he has a new jacked and a shirt, like what he wore at Bespin. So he looks like this:LINK I love this set, and it's a must buy for me, as I don't have an AT-AT yet.
  6. I've been playing Soul Silver for about two weeks now, and I can say that the only pokemon in the main game are from Gen I and II, pokemon from R/S/E and D/P/P don't appear until after you beat the elite four and go to the Kanto region, so the entire part of the original game is pure S/G/C pokemon, just like it should be.
  7. Actually, Boba and Filch have a different head: LINK I really love this set. The doors, the camel, the minifigs, it's all great. I don't think that I'd keep it built too long though. Too many great part and too many great colors not to MOC something else out of it. I know I'll pick this set up, though. It's too good to pass up.
  8. I've heard of a special type of dye that is used on for painting cars and vehicles that chemically bonds to the plastic and stains it instead of just adding a coat of paint on top of it. This wouldn't flake off, but it would be a pain to apply. You would need to find the desired color at an auto shop (which would be difficult if you were trying to paint it any color other than white, black, grey, or red, as they are the most common colors). Then you would probably need to soak it or use some type of lengthy application process. Plus, I've heard that they are somewhat toxic (as in use in open areas) and somewhat expensive. Basically, it's just not worth it. I would recommend getting a torso closest to the color that you need off of bricklink, regardless of the printing, and then using brasso or toothpaste to remove the printing. If all you want is a red torso, you can probably just find a blank red torso on there, and not have to worry about painting it at all. Good luck!
  9. Always bet on the yellow castle: $1,800 MSIB
  10. I just had a horrible thought... What if these sets are not available in the US? I mean, we don't have any US prices for them, and the didn't show up at the New York toy fair this year, but they were at the German toy fair. Plus, lego sometimes cuts themes for certain areas. The US hasn't gotten the pirate or castle advent calendar for the past two years, and we missed the good wizard impulse set. Space Police and Spongebob themes were also cut from other areas of the world. If you look at it from a business standpoint it all makes since too. If trains don't sell well in the the US (which I don't know if they do or not) , then it would make the most sense not to sell as many there. There are four train set being sold by the LEGO company this year. Two are $80 theme centric sets and the other two are running generic trains that are about $150-$200. A store has a limited amount of shelf space, and must fill it with what will sell the best, and I can almost guarantee that there will not be four huge train sets sitting there (six if you count the station and the crossing platform). So the store, or LEGO, must determine which set will sell best. In America, any kid and any kid's parents who is offered the choice between an $80 set attached to a popular movie or a $150 to $200 set that is just a generic train that runs, they will pick the cheaper set, because it is less expensive for the parent and the kid likes it more because it has movie characters and cool scenes rather than just a generic worker. Is it what I would do? No. But most of LEGO's target audience would. Maybe I'm just crazy, but so far we have had no actual proof that the sets are coming to the US, and a lot of things they might not be. If these sets are not going to be released here, I will fight it has hard as I can, and I hope others do too. But I hope that we never have to, and that I am wrong. If it's not too much trouble, maybe one of our ambassadors can ask LEGO about this. Just my $0.02. And once again, I REALLY hope I'm wrong.
  11. Looks like the space police base will include two of the new cowcatchers in black. Link. This set is now a definite buy.
  12. I think I'm the only person that actually likes the hut. I don't have any Harry Potter sets, and I've never seen the movies or read the books, but these look great! I actually want to buy all of them, at least for minifigs and parts.
  13. Looks like we're getting a new Han in the AT-AT too!
  14. Boba's new face!
  15. Can someone tell me the difference between just attending Brickworld and being a registered attendee at Brickworld? If you don't register, can you still go to the LEGO store for the special discounts? I'm thinking about going this year, and it's my first time ever doing any thing like this. Thanks for the help.
  16. Here you go !!! You're welcome . EDIT: Pics deeplinked. $120 $40
  17. Yep. It deserves one more great set. Tank, bar, or plane, I would buy it.
  18. *Brakes through computer screen and hugs Copmike* Thank you so much for holding this raffle. These prizes are amazing and far superior to what I had expected. I thought that third prize would mean one or two minifigs, but six!!! I'm going to be watching the mail like crazy for the next two weeks, waiting for these guys to come. I think that Alice is the luckiest, though. Those four queens are . Thanks again, Copmike I can't wait to see what you come up with for next year.
  19. Hopefully it will be a female style baywatch figure and not a male one. I would REALLY like an official LEGO bikini . I hope wave 2 will be shown at the New York Toy Fair. I cannot wait to see what else lego comes out with.
  20. Thanks for the feedback everybody. I was originally going to put more windows in the sides, but it left too much of a gap in the front of the locomotive, and I thought that it would look better without them. Oh, and to answer your question, Lightningtiger, this locomotive would usually carry all of it's tools/supplies on board, and it travels by itself, so it does not pull any cars. Here's a website completely devoted to speeders, if you want more info: http://www.railspeeders.com/ There are different type of speeders on there, too. Most of them are not fully enclosed like this one is.
  21. This is probably one of my favorite trains of all time. These M.O.W speeders were mainly used for carrying workers and materials from one stretch of rail to another. Here's a picture of a Lionel model of a rail speeder: (picture from Classic Toy Trains) And here is mine: It is built on a 9-volt motor, so it does run. And I would have to say that it was one of the most complicated builds that I have ever done. Here's a picture of the inside: Comparison to the lionel version: Size comparison to the BNSF locomotive: And finally, a small scene with a couple of workers: More pictures here. C&C are welcome.
  22. The only three ships that I don't have in the OT are the TIE Bomber, an AT-AT, and an Imperial Shuttle. Looks like my collection in 2010 will be closer to completion . I can not wait for the toy fair. The AT-OT/Dropship was unveiled there last year, so another UCS set should be unveiled this year, probably the speculated Shuttle.
  23. Sadly, this sounds similar to what happened to Demonator, who bought a set that had all the minifigures missing. I believe that he said some one had bought the set, used a box cutter to open the box and the bags, took the minifigures out, resealed the bags and boxes with glue, and returned the set to the store. So someone probably stole the minifigures out of it. Sorry . As for a solution, I would try taking the box back to the store. Some stores might or might not take it back. A similar thing happened to me at walmart, where the a lot of the pieces and the minifigure was missing, and they took it back after I explained the situation with no questions asked. However, store like Toys R Us will not take any boxes back that have been opened, as I've heard. Getting you're minifigures pretty much boils down to where you bought the set, and a little bit of luck.
  24. I love you. ( ) But seriously, thanks for uploading these. I'm loving those trains, atlantis, and space police more and more.
  25. Considering that you've been right about some of your other lists, I'm going to blindly believe you. (Plus this follows what xwingyoda said ) Too bad it's not a 10*** number, so it's not a UCS model. What a shame, I was hoping for a huge one, along the same scale as the UCS MF. Oh well, I don't have an AT-AT yet, so this will be a good excuse to buy one. Hopefully it's not MIDI-scaled, considering that I want one bigger than what LEGO's released before. Now the wait for pics begins. The good thing about it not being a 10*** number is that it leaves room for something else. So what is next years exclusive? Hopefully we'll get two, like we did in 2009(AT-OT/Dropship and Tantive IV). I'm betting on cloud city or any thing else from Ep. V.
