I only did refer to the printed legs , sorry for calling them "torso", my english is not the best ;)
-
I Like the King´s new torso and the Troll Fortress looks a little bit better than in previous pictures, but I still not going to get it. The ugly chariot seems to be overprized (19,99$) btw.

Nice Find! Kings Chariot still sucks, looks like some sort of little ship, that is put on two wheels and pulled by only one poor horse...

Here are mine: Probably not the best looking or coolest Minifigs ever made, but for me everyone brings back special memories: From the left to the right: The evil-looking alien-boss from the U.F.O.-series: When U.F.O. was released, I fell completely in love with lego space, unfortunately I did not have the money to buy all of the existing sets. But I must have played thousands of hours with their flying headquarter. This figure was the most unique one from the series and I own it still today in a good condition. U.F.O. was also the last space-series I owned before i fell in the dark ages. The red knight from the royal knights: Has always been my hero number one, only appeard in 6090 "Royal Knight's Castle", this was the only big castle (and at that time it was the biggest castle ever released) I owned when I was a child (at the age of 12 or so) Captain Ironhook: I always thougt he was called "redbeard" until I read some months ago here at eb, that his name is "Ironhook", One and only pirate-captain I own, has even survived the times when I tried to burn lego-elements (Yes, that was really stupid, and yes, I was really young) The Scouttrooper: As I am not the biggest fan of Star Wars (like ep 4-6 though), I thougt, this was lego´s version of a Stormtrooper, short time after I received him, my dark ages began. last Figure: Don´t know how he is called, with (I think) white legs it was the first minifig I got. He had some very difficult adventures to manage with the white jeep he was in :D.

Skeletons were the main reason for me to come out of my dark ages. In general I like stuff about Skeletons, Ghosts, Death and something like that, and one day I went to a local supermarket to buy some food and discoverd some small Castle-Sets with that evil looking bone-people. Of course I hat to buy them and since then, I am back ;). So I really like the presence of the skeletons in 2009 and I am still hoping for a little skellie set (maybe in 2010). :skull:

Oh no, I built this yesterday, but hadn´t a camera at hand and hoped that nobody would make a "ROCKet" until I can make and upload pictures of mine. So, please believe me, that i did not copy someone else ;). This is my ROCKet : Edit: Here is my second try, "The rock´s deadly secret" Somethin´hidden in the rocks -
I like the idea of a raided castle too.
-
I don´t believe, that "really silly and simple creatures" could build things like siege tower, the battle wheel or the assault wagon ;)

Impulse-Sets are available in Germany since a few days, Pirates may start to show up in stores at the beginning of the next week (at least i hope so)

Like the Drawbridge even more than before. But I still don´t like the troll fortress. The prelim pictures showed three towers, now I can only see two ones. Or did they left out one tower because he looks the same as the one we can see? (Speaking of the smaller tower)

King´s Chariot: Fail. What shall that be? An oversized Battle Chariot carrying a treasure? The chariot itself looks kind of stupid, much too bulky for a battle and not very impressive at all. The good thing about the set are the trolls, that both have shields. Orc Fortress: Epic Fail so far. Looks like the trolls once went to the human lands, discovered King´s Castle Siege and said: "Oaaaar, let´s rebuild this in Orc-land! " Of course, they had not the ability of the human builders and so they´re Castle ended up beeing a low-budget imitation . Drawbridge-Defense: I like it, still reminds me a bit of the Royal Knights Drawbridge. I don´t have a clue why the jester has to appear here, but for people who missed the advent calendar it´s surely a good thing.

Sometimes I get the feeling, that negative opinions on sets are not very welcome at all. If someone thinks, that there are too many kings in the new sets, he has the right to think so. But if you write someting like that, there are immediatley posts saying "remember the children", " You are not forced to buy it", etc. This may be right, but doesn´t seem to make much sense to me. I know that lego is aimed to kids, but nevertheless I don´t like having 2 Kings in 3 new Sets. Another example are the prelim-pictures: They are blurry and, as the name says, preliminary. Someone wrote, he didn´t like, what he saw. Then there were 2 comments: "You can´t judge from what you see, it´s too blurry", but in the same post was written "I like the new sets so far", and nobody did complain, but if someone says that the pictures are too blurry to critisize something, how can he say they look good? Just my two cents...

It appears...

Oh, I think that´s easy: The Queen and the King have split up, so the Queen´s new residence is the Drawbridge, but she is still very angry with her former husband, because she wanted a more luxury home. Her new favourite, the golden knight, thought, that it would be the best, if the Queen could at least laugh a little bit and that is why he hired the jester

I don´t know if it was posted before (haven´t found something), but I read on two different sites, that there won´t be a castle advent in 2009. Instead we will get a pirates calendar. Can somebody confirm this? Source
-
Skellies already have the dark wizard´s tower as their headquarter ;)
-
Looks like KK 2 with Orcs and Skellies, not impressive at all. I hope for better pictures and some improvements to change my opinion, but thank you for the first pictures!
-
What shall I do with three Human Kings? Could be be good for dragon food, though.
-
Unfortunately the mine-kart is too big for the Dwaren Mine´s railway, but it´s nice though.
-
Edit: The dark wizard´s hat is from 2007, I forgot.

What should I safe my money for, the new pirate ship or medieval market village?
-
I´m reading this forum since just a few months, so I don´t know when exactly in 2007 the first confirmable information about the 2008 came, that was my question
-
What about South Park Figs in medieval dresses, riding on full chrome dragons, fighting against Vampires? When did you get confirmable infos about the 2008 sets?
-
I hope that too, but I remember an interview with a lego-designer at brothers-brick.com, where he says, that today´s market is so rapidly changing, that themes can only last three-year terms in general. Maybe the well selling can change this
-
The last castle-themes (KK1, KK2) did only last three years,so I doubt Lego will continue the fantasy-theme after 2009, but I really hope that I´am wrong.
