I think especially the spartan from series 2 is overhyped. Yes, he looks really nice and there has never been before a warrior from ancient greece. And yes, everything from cape to shield and helmet is beautiful. But I don´t know, I have twelve of them standing on my desk and when I read about the hype here, I got in that Hype, too. Now I own another 44 still sealed Spartans and don´t really know what to do with them...

Minifg collectors series 2 pics and barcodes
Scop replied to Superkalle's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I have searched through about 12 or 13 boxes in the last few days and in most cases, all spartans have been either in the same row of the box or 2 have been at the end of one row and the third at the beginning of the next row. -
In Germany (or at least the region where I live) the sets are just available sincs two or three weeks. I bought Knight´s Showdown and can report that my Knight isn´t a pink one :)

easiest clue for me so far. Did´nt even have to use the search engine :) -
Yesterday I found a local store where they have about 10 boxes of minifigures series 2 and still 5 boxes full of Minifigures 1. The thing is, I already own 12 Spartans standing on my shelf and 23 sealed Spartans (all from other stores). Do you think I should go for more spartans because the price will go sky high once Series 2 has ended? Or would you complete both series with the figures you do not own at the moment? And what about buying more Zombies? Their average bricklink-price is not that bad. :)

Thanks for all of your answers so far :) So what do you think is the best way to build up a Dragonforce? Buying multiples of "Knight´s showdown" and the Prison Rescue? (Until you don´t want to buy BPs) I think it would be some nice idea if the next impulse-set would be a Dragon Knight similar to the Crownie Soldier impulse with armor and maybe the new helmet. That would help balance things out a bit. I´m not so sure about a Dragon´s castle since they already got their Tower. Maybe there will be a third faction with a Castle in the third wave.

Hello everyone, Last week the first Kingdoms-Sets finally hit the shelves in the region where I live. I bought "Knight´s showdown" and "Prison Carriage Rescue". But when I thought about the best way to build up a Dragon Army (Without buying battle packs due to quality issues), I came to the conclusion, that 1) There are ,compared to the first Castle-wave, less sets and 2) that there is no set with more Dragon knights, there is either the same amount of both factions or the Dragons are outnumbered by the Lions. First Castle-Wave had (Not counting battle packs or advent calender) 9 Sets with a total amount of 38 figs, which is 4,2 Figs per set. In total it was a 20- 18 for the Crownies. First Kingdoms- Wave has only 7 Sets with a total amount of 23 figs, which is 3,2 figs per set. In total it´s 14 - 9 for the Lions. Arguing, that Chester and Maid are no fighters, it´s still 12-9 (or 12-8, depending if the wizard will stand on the battle field or not). So what do you think? Is the first wave too imbalanced , are there too less sets compared to other Medieval-sets in the past or is this my opinion exklusive?

Eurobricks Raffle and Mystery Treasure Hunt
Scop replied to WhiteFang's topic in Forum Information and Help
I wasted 10 hours , distributed over 5 Days, to find the Spartan. Not mainly because I want to win one of the figures I perhaps already own, but because I could not live with the fact, that everyone out there seemed to have found him except for me. The good thing is, that the search drove me to three other at that time unrevealed figs. 12/10 at the moment, this raffle is a lot of fun and I have learned some Lego-facts I did´nt know before, good thing! -

I think that was kind of tricky if you´re not into it. so far 10/9 but still searching for this Greek Hoplit. I am starting to feel kind of silly, because everyone seems to have found him. -
Would you mind telling me the shops they are available at? For now I only found some at REAL and and a local supermarket called Ratio.

4/7 still looking for Cop, Greek and Witch. Doesn´t seem to look to good for me :D -
As a child and teenager I was crazy about Medieval Lego. However, with the beginning of "Knights Kingdom" in 2000 I lost my interest and someday i had totally forgot my once so beloved hobby. Only the Royal Knight's Castle 6090 always found its place in my apartement. Then in 2007 - in the meanwhile I had become part of the so-called Gothic-Scene - I walked trough a supermarket when I noticed the Skeletons´Prison Carriage, thinking: "Wow, living Lego-Skeletons and undead horses, how cool is that?" Some months later I owned an army of Skeletons and began to buy the human-related sets too. Since then I´m back. And it feels so good. Even though my wallet is crying sometimes and it´s always a tough decision wheter to buy Lego or new Cds / Festival-Tickets / special clothes.

Thx for the comments so far :) ²Tereglith: I´m curious, how your entry will look like ²the thing with the devil head: This is meant as kind of a symbol or a sign, that a new menace is coming soon, but is not noticed by the playing soldiers .

100b There was a time, that the people called "The clash of the forces", when pirates and soldiers fought a war, that seemed to be endless. But after everything was pillaged and plunderd and burned and after ten thousands of people had lost der lives, the war came to an end, when the pirates suddenly disappeared. Time passed by and the people tried to rebuilt their destroyed houses and harbours. But the soldiers, not knowing what to do with all the weapons, soon began to be bored. Until someday one of them developed a new form of game. While playing their games, most of the soldiers totally forgot about the world and the people surrounding them... "Isn´t this a lovely life , Sir?" - "Harr, I see a storm on the horizon..." Arrrrrrr. Scop.

Wasn´t meant too serious, but when I first read "Civilian´s battlepack" I found it kind of funny. But whatever they would call such a Collection, it would be a must-buy for me

Isn´t a "civilian battlepack" kind of a paradox ? ;)

REVIEW Castle 7097 - Trolls' Mountain Fortress
Scop replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Didn´t like it when I first saw the blurry pictures. Didn´t like it when i saw the clear pictures. And after reading the great review I still don´t like it. Seems to be overpriced and somehow too small. However, I know I will buy it though when it will be on sale. -
I just rediscovered Lego after my dark ages and wanted to look what castle-sets had been released since my interest in Lego had ended. A google link brought me to some german fansite, that had a link to brothers brick. After reading some months I began to click the pages listed in their linklist till I found eurobricks. Then I stopped clicking.

Knight's kingdom's Royal King's Castle is Back!
Scop replied to Patriot720's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Infact the S@H-description says "Inspired by the legendary #6090 Royal King’s Castle, the all-new Royal King’s Castle rises majestically over the kingdom" I think this was/is more than a bad joke. -
You maybe right, but actually the "good versus evil"- thing is exactly TLC´s principle since some years, there is always the one, more than good faction, fighting the really, really evil-ones. In Castle it was first King Leo againt the evil looking Bull-Clan, than the Rainbow-Knights against Vladek, the King of Evilness, now it´s the Humans versus the Undead or the Humans allied with the Dwarves against the Orcs. The good Agents fight against Dr.Inferno, the crazy "I want to conquer the whole World"- Baddie, the brave humans have to defend themselves against the horrible Mars Aliens. And even though they may look cute, there is no doubt, that the Power Miners Monsters are not the good faction. So I highly doubt, that (if there will be elves) it will be Dwarfes vs. Elves. That wouldn´t be lego in the 21st Century ;).

I don´t like KK2 because it was more fare away from all the other castle lines than any other line ever has been. The good King had no real army, instead his soldiers were a bunch of Power Ranger- Knights in terrible colors with really bad looking "swords" like this one. The sets themselves consisted mainly of big, <insert that tiresome argument> pieces like the one mentioned in a previous post here, and just have a look at this annoying thing and the "horses": http://www.chutspe.gmxhome.de/sets/8779.jpg

Battle Wheel is on sale for 19,99€, although I have one, should I buy another for that price?

As far as I know, there is only one wave per year, but sometimes there are special sets like Medieval Market Village or Advent Calendar 2008, that come before or after the wave. If I´m telling rubbish, someone may please correct me ;). I think the jester lived happily ever after in the Drawbridge Tower and waited years for the king to arrive, so that he could show him some of his best tricks. The jester imagined the King to be a great, rich man, with a chariot more beautiful than anything he had ever seen. Then one day the King arrived in his...umm... "chariot", and from that day on, the jester´s face became sad.
